## Google News Search Scraper — RSS + best-effort real URLs, no login

Search Google News for any query, in any language and country, and get the matching articles:
title, publisher, published time, snippet, the Google News link, and — where Google allows it —
the publisher's **real article URL**. No login, no proxies, no personal data.

### Tested (2026-09-02)

Google News returns up to 100 articles per query. A query with no results returns 0 items (no charge).

**About real URLs.** The feed only carries `news.google.com` links. This actor asks Google's own
article endpoint for the publisher URL (plain requests, one per second). Google allows only a
limited number of those per client: in testing the first 5 resolved 5/5, and after roughly ten more
Google started answering `429`. The actor respects that limit — it never changes IPs or identity —
so once Google stops answering, the remaining articles are returned with the Google link only
(`article_url` = `null`) and the run completes normally. Set `decode_urls` to `false` in the target
settings if you only need the feed.

Each target is `query|hl|gl`: the search query, the interface language (`en-US`, `ja`, `de`, …)
and the country (`US`, `JP`, `DE`, …). `hl` and `gl` are optional and default to `en-US` / `US`.
Google's search operators work as usual (`site:`, quotes, `when:7d`, …).
