## Changelog

What changed for you in each release.

### 1.4 — October 2026

**Fewer false alerts**

- Improved noise rules: rating and review counts, short ages like "3h" or "2d", announcement
bars, images moving between CDN hosts, and tracking parameters inside links are now ignored.
- Product-data pages are no longer mistaken for "flapping" when hidden metadata changes.
- Existing baselines move to the new rules automatically, with no false alert.

**New**

- **Price mode** (`mode: "price"`): watches a product's own price, currency and stock, never
recommendations or "was" prices. Alert on drops only, set a minimum % move, or track the lowest
  price in a list.
- **Click-through `actions`:** reach content that only appears after a click, like a fare panel.
- **Before/after screenshots** in the Console and in email alerts, with the change highlighted.
- **Run output links:** the Output tab now lists the changes, all checks and the run summary.

**Better alerts**

- Screenshots highlight only what actually changed, and say so when the change isn't visible.
- Pictures of JavaScript-heavy sites come from a real browser and stay current.
- Pictures of GitHub pages and redirected pages render reliably and with their styling.
- Alert emails read better: plain words instead of internal markers, and a readable subject.
- Slack messages handle special characters; Discord messages stay within Discord's size limits.

**Pricing**

- Lower prices: $0.002 per check, $0.004 per AI review, $0.01 per change.
- Optional extras are charged only when used: screenshots, residential proxy, and pages that need
  a real browser.
- Checks that fail because of the Actor itself are never charged.

**Reliability**

- A site's `robots.txt` returning a server error is handled correctly: a site that is down is
reported as down, and a site blocking bots is respected.
- A run continues without a proxy if the proxy can't be set up.
- The built-in AI is more reliable, with automatic backup if one part is unavailable.

### 1.3 — September 2026

- Before/after screenshots attached to email alerts, with the changed words highlighted.
- Highlights match whole words only, and skip words repeated all over the page.

### 1.2 — September 2026

- Better comparison in `html` mode, including every tracking parameter in a link.
- Clearer warnings when email alerts are requested but can't be sent.

### 1.1 — September 2026

- The AI judges version numbers, removals and plan changes more accurately.
- Small edits right next to a price are now always reviewed.

### 1.0 — September 2026

First release.

- Change detection for any public page, with noise rules for timestamps, counters, ads, session
  tokens and more.
- Compare modes: readable text, HTML, and structured product data.
- AI review guided by your own plain-English instruction, with the built-in AI or your own key.
- Alerts by email, Slack, Discord and signed webhooks.
- Pay-per-event pricing that respects your maximum charge per run.
