## Pricing

from $1.59 / 1,000 records

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

### KvK Handelsregister Scraper - Dutch Company Register

KvK Handelsregister Scraper searches the **Dutch company register (Handelsregister) of the Kamer van Koophandel (KvK)** and returns structured company data: KvK number, establishment number, name, legal form, registration type and date, active status, visiting and postal address, business activities, and current and former trade names. Search by company name, keyword, place, or postcode, or look up KvK numbers in bulk.

### What is KvK Handelsregister Scraper?

KvK Handelsregister Scraper is a **KvK data extraction tool** that reads the public company search on [kvk.nl](https://www.kvk.nl/zoeken/) and saves every result as a clean, English-labelled record. It's an easy **KvK API alternative**: the official [KVK API](https://developers.kvk.nl/) needs a paid subscription and API key, while this scraper uses the same free search that anyone can use on kvk.nl.

The easiest way to try it: keep the prefilled query (`bakkerij`), click **Start**, and open the dataset. You get 20 registered bakeries with KvK number, address, legal form, and trade names in a few seconds.

No KvK account or API key is needed.

### What can KvK Handelsregister Scraper do?

- 🔎 **Search the register** — by company name, trade name, keyword, place, or postcode, exactly like the kvk.nl search box. Run many queries in one go.
- 🔢 **Bulk KvK number lookup** — paste 8-digit KvK numbers and get every registration behind each one: the legal entity, the main branch, and all other branches.
- 🏷️ **Register filters** — registered (`ingeschreven`) or deregistered (`uitgeschreven`) companies; main branches, branches, legal entities, or other registrations; current or former trade names.
- 📄 **Advies & Inspiratie** — optionally include KvK's own advice articles that match your search, with full text.
- ⚡ **Fast and light** — up to 50 results per request. In testing, 15,000 records took under 4 minutes without a proxy.

Because KvK Handelsregister Scraper runs on the Apify platform, you also get:

- ⏰ [Scheduling](https://docs.apify.com/platform/schedules) to track new registrations in a sector or city.
- 🔌 [API access](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2) and client libraries for Python and JavaScript.
- 🔗 [Integrations](https://apify.com/integrations) with Make, Zapier, Google Sheets, HubSpot via webhooks, Slack, and more.
- 📦 Export to JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, or HTML from the Storage tab or the API.

  "content": "Direct naar de content Zo help je een werknemer met geldzorgen Bijgewerkt 21 juni 2024 …",
  "language": "nl",
  "searchQuery": "KPN",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-04T12:45:59.412Z"
}
```
One KvK number often returns several records, for example a legal entity (`Rechtspersoon`) and its main branch (`Hoofdvestiging`), each with its own `id`. In testing, KvK number 27124701 returned 904 registrations, mostly branches. You can download the dataset in JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, or HTML.
### Use cases
- **B2B lead generation** — list companies in a sector and city, with legal form, address, and activity description.
- **KYC and supplier checks** — confirm that a KvK number exists, is active, and matches the name and address you were given.
- **Market research** — count businesses by keyword, region, or legal form, and track new registrations over time.
- **Data enrichment** — add KvK numbers, legal forms, and addresses to your CRM records in bulk.
- **Brand and trade name checks** — find companies using a current or former trade name.
### How it works
1. KvK Handelsregister Scraper sends your query and filters to the same search that powers [kvk.nl/zoeken](https://www.kvk.nl/zoeken/).
2. It reads the result pages, 1 to 50 results each, until all results are collected, your limits are reached, or KvK's 5,000-result limit per search is hit.
3. For KvK numbers, it searches the number and keeps only records with exactly that KvK number.
4. Records are translated into English field names, duplicates are removed, and rows are saved to the dataset page by page.
5. Requests are rate-limited (120 per minute by default) and retried automatically with growing waits if KvK briefly refuses or fails.
### How much does it cost to scrape the KvK Handelsregister?
KvK Handelsregister Scraper uses pay-per-event pricing. There's no extra charge for compute.
| Event | Free plan | Bronze | Silver | Gold |
|-------|-----------|--------|--------|------|
| Actor start — once per run | $0.00005 | $0.00005 | $0.00005 | $0.00005 |
| `result` — per record saved | $0.00299 | $0.00249 | $0.00199 | $0.00159 |
| `search-page` — per KvK search request (first page and every further page) | $0.00089 | $0.00089 | $0.00089 | $0.00089 |
| `retry` — per automatic retry of a failed request | $0.00089 | $0.00089 | $0.00089 | $0.00089 |
| `proxy-datacenter` — once per run with Apify Proxy (no group) | $0.05 | $0.05 | $0.05 | $0.05 |
| `proxy-residential` — once per run with an Apify Proxy group (e.g. RESIDENTIAL) | $0.06 | $0.06 | $0.06 | $0.06 |
Per 1,000 records: **$2.99** (Free), **$2.49** (Bronze), **$1.99** (Silver), **$1.59** (Gold). Search pages and retries cost **$0.89** per 1,000.
For example, 1,000 records with the default 50 results per page take 20 search pages: $2.99 + $0.018 = about $3.01 on the Free plan. With 10 results per page, the same 1,000 records take 100 search pages ($0.089). Keep **Results per page** at 50 to pay for the fewest pages. A proxy is usually not needed; leave it off to skip the one-time proxy charge. Retries are only charged when a request actually fails, and none were needed in our tests. Use **Max records** or a [spending limit](https://docs.apify.com/platform/actors/running/usage-and-resources) to cap a run.
### Is it legal to scrape the KvK Handelsregister?
KvK Handelsregister Scraper only reads what the public kvk.nl search shows to any visitor. The Handelsregister is a public register, but entries for sole traders (eenmanszaken) and partnerships can contain personal data such as names and addresses, and KvK sets rules for using register data, for example for direct marketing. Make sure your use complies with GDPR (AVG), KvK's terms, and other rules that apply to you, and consult a lawyer if in doubt. Read more in Apify's post [Is web scraping legal?](https://blog.apify.com/is-web-scraping-legal/)
### FAQ
**Do I need a KvK API key?**
No. The scraper uses the free public search on kvk.nl. The official KVK API requires a subscription.
**How many results can one search return?**
KvK serves at most the first 5,000 results of any search. For broader searches, split them with filters or more specific queries (for example a keyword plus a city). The log tells you when a query has more results than KvK will serve.
**Why does a KvK number return several records?**
A company can have a legal entity (`Rechtspersoon`), a main branch (`Hoofdvestiging`), and branches (`Nevenvestiging`), each registered separately under the same KvK number. Use **Registration type** to keep only the ones you need.
**Why are some results deregistered?**
Set **Registration status** to `ingeschreven` only (the default) to skip deregistered companies, or include `uitgeschreven` on purpose to see them.
**Can I get phone numbers, emails, directors, or financial statements?**
No. The public KvK search doesn't show them. Directors, extracts, and annual accounts are paid KvK products; `kvkUrl` links to the page where KvK sells them.
**Is the trade-name filter applied to KvK number lookups?**
No. That filter limits matching to names, so a KvK number would never match it. It still applies to your search queries.
**Do I need a proxy?**
Usually not. In testing, KvK answered 120 requests in a few seconds without any blocking. Enable Apify Proxy only for very large runs or if you see rate-limit errors; it adds a one-time proxy charge per run.
**Something isn't working. Where do I report it?**
Open an issue on the [Issues tab](https://apify.com/parsebird/kvk-handelsregister-scraper/issues) with your run ID.
# Actor input Schema
## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):
Company names, trade names, keywords, places or postcodes, the same as you would type in the KvK search box. Each query runs its own search.
## `kvkNumbers` (type: `array`):
8-digit KvK numbers to look up directly. Each returns every registration for that number (legal entity, main branch, other branches) that matches the filters below.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Total records to save across all queries and KvK numbers. 0 = no limit.
## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):
Result pages to read per query. 0 = all pages (KvK serves at most the first 5,000 results of a search).
## `pageSize` (type: `integer`):
Results per request, 1-50 (KvK's maximum). Larger pages mean fewer KvK search page charges for the same data.
## `site` (type: `string`):
`handelsregister` = company register only. `kvk2014` = everything kvk.nl search returns: register entries plus KvK's Advies & Inspiratie articles. `corporate` = Advies & Inspiratie articles only.
## `inschrijvingsstatus` (type: `array`):
Registered (active) and/or deregistered companies. Leave empty for both.
## `vestigingType` (type: `array`):
Main branches, other branches, legal entities and/or other registrations. Leave empty for all.
## `handelsnamen` (type: `array`):
Match on current and/or former (expired) trade names. Leave empty for both.
## `language` (type: `string`):
Search language. Mainly affects Advies & Inspiratie articles; register data is the same.
## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
Queries searched in parallel (1-5).
## `maxRequestsPerMinute` (type: `integer`):
Upper limit on requests to KvK per minute. Lower it if you see rate-limit errors without a proxy.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Not needed for most runs. Enabling Apify Proxy adds a one-time proxy charge per run (see Pricing): datacenter without a group, residential with a proxy group.
