## Pricing

from $1.29 / 1,000 videos

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Kwai Scraper

**Kwai Scraper** extracts public video data from [Kwai](https://www.kwai.com/), the short-video app from Kuaishou that is especially popular in Brazil. Paste video links, creator profiles, playlists or `k.kwai.com` share links, or search Kwai by keyword. Each video comes with its caption, transcript, views, likes, shares, comment count, MP4 play URL, genres and creator stats. You don't need a Kwai account, a cookie or an API key.

<table><tr>
<td style="border-left:4px solid #1C1917;padding:12px 16px;font-weight:600">
One flat row per Kwai video with 20+ fields: caption, transcript, hashtags, audio, post time, cover, MP4 link, duration, resolution, views, likes, shares and comment count, plus the creator's username, followers, total likes and video count. Scrape a creator's whole profile, a playlist or thousands of search results in one run.

### What is Kwai Scraper?

**Kwai Scraper** turns Kwai into structured data. Paste a Kwai profile, playlist or video link, or type a keyword, and click **Start**. The output is clean rows of Kwai video data: captions, transcripts, view counts, likes, shares, comment counts, direct MP4 links and creator statistics. You can download it as **JSON, CSV or Excel** or read it through the API.

It works as a **Kwai API alternative**. Kwai has no public data API, so the Actor reads the same public endpoints kwai.com uses for logged-out visitors. You never have to sign in.

### What can Kwai Scraper do?

- 👤 **Scrape a Kwai profile.** Get every public video from a creator, newest first, or just the latest N. Accepts `https://www.kwai.com/@username`, a bare `@username` or an `m.kwai.com/user/...` link.
- 🎬 **Scrape Kwai videos by URL.** Paste any number of video links, bare video IDs or `k.kwai.com` share links and get one detailed row per video.
- 📂 **Scrape a Kwai playlist.** Get every video in a creator's playlist (series).
- 🔎 **Search Kwai by keyword.** Collect videos for any search term, in any language, several terms per run.
- 📝 **Get Kwai transcripts.** Each row includes the transcript text Kwai publishes for the video, when it has one.
- 🎞️ **Get the MP4 link.** `playUrl` is a direct MP4 link you can download or play.
- 📅 **Schedule and monitor.** Run daily or hourly with [Apify Schedules](https://docs.apify.com/platform/schedules) to follow creators, keywords or a competitor's uploads over time.
- 🔌 **API and integrations.** Use the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2), or send results to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, Slack or webhooks with [Apify integrations](https://docs.apify.com/platform/integrations). Export as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML.

### What data can you extract from Kwai?

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `id` | Kwai video ID (string) |
| `caption` | The video's caption as posted. Kwai shows `...` for videos posted without one |
| `transcript` | The transcript Kwai publishes for the video; an empty string when it has none |
| `hashtags` | Hashtags found in the caption |
| `audioName` | The sound used, for example "Áudio original criado por …" |
| `createTime` | When the video was posted (ISO 8601, UTC) |
| `thumb` | Cover image URL |
| `url` | Video page on kwai.com |
| `playUrl` | Direct MP4 link |
| `duration` · `width` · `height` | Length in seconds and resolution in pixels |
| `viewCount` · `likeCount` · `shareCount` · `commentCount` | Engagement counts |
| `genres` | Kwai's own category labels, for example `["TV series", "Film&TV"]`. Empty when Kwai hasn't categorised the video |
| `authorMeta` | Creator: `id`, `name`, `username`, `avatar`, `url`, `type`, `followersCount`, `likesCount` (likes received), `videosCount` |
| `inputUrl` · `searchTerm` · `playlistId` | Which of your inputs produced the row |

### How to scrape Kwai

1. Open [Kwai Scraper](https://apify.com/parsebird/kwai-scraper) on Apify Store and click **Try for free**.
2. In **Kwai URLs**, paste video, profile, playlist or share links, one per line.
3. In **Search terms**, add keywords if you also want search results. You can use URLs, search terms or both.
4. Set **Max videos per profile, playlist or search term**. The default of 30 keeps the first run cheap. Use `0` for a creator's whole profile.
5. Click **Start**. When the run finishes, open the **Output** tab and download your Kwai data as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML, or read it with the API.

#### Scrape a whole Kwai profile

```json
{
    "urls": ["https://www.kwai.com/@jadebelchior905"],
    "maxItems": 0
}
```

With `maxItems` set to `0`, the Actor returns every public video on the profile. In testing, this profile returned all 278 of its videos. The run log shows how many public videos the profile has before scraping starts.

#### Scrape specific Kwai videos

```json
{
    "urls": [
        "https://www.kwai.com/@jadebelchior905/video/5213629630362183094",
        "https://k.kwai.com/p/CCzy11ul",
        "5240932700689736196"
    ]
}
```

Each video link, share link or bare ID returns one row. `maxItems` doesn't apply to them.

#### Search Kwai by keyword

```json
{
    "searchTerms": ["receita de bolo", "neymar"],
    "maxItems": 200
}
```

Each term is searched separately and returns up to `maxItems` videos. Kwai search has no sort or date filters, so results come in Kwai's own relevance order.

#### Scrape a Kwai playlist

```json
{
    "urls": ["https://www.kwai.com/@TeleKwaiBrasil/playlist/45074491059995286"],
    "maxItems": 0
}
```

### Input parameters

See the [Input tab](https://apify.com/parsebird/kwai-scraper/input-schema) for the full form.

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|-----------|------|---------|-------------|
| `urls` | string\[] | — | Kwai video, profile, playlist or share URLs, `@username` handles or bare video IDs |
| `searchTerms` | string\[] | — | Keywords to search on Kwai |
| `maxItems` | integer | `30` | Videos per profile, playlist or search term, 0–500,000. `0` means a whole profile or playlist, and up to 5,000 videos per search term |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | none | Not needed for normal use |

⚠️ **Accepted inputs.** A video is `https://www.kwai.com/@user/video/ID`, `https://www.kwai.com/video/ID`, an `m.kwai.com/photo/...` link or a bare numeric ID. A profile is `https://www.kwai.com/@username`, `@username` or `https://m.kwai.com/user/...`. Kwai usernames are case-sensitive, so copy them exactly. Share links from the Kwai app (`k.kwai.com/p/...`) are opened and resolved automatically. Anything else is skipped with a warning and not charged. Duplicate inputs are merged, and a video that two of your inputs both return is saved and charged only once per run.

### Output example

Each video is one row. This is a real row from a video URL, shortened only in `thumb` and `playUrl`.

```json
    "playlistId": "45074491059995286"
}
```

### How much does it cost to scrape Kwai?

Kwai Scraper uses **pay-per-event** pricing. You pay only for videos saved to your dataset. Compute and proxy costs are included in the price. Inputs that return nothing, such as a deleted video, an unknown username or an invalid link, are free.

| Event | Free | Bronze | Silver | Gold |
|-------|------|--------|--------|------|
| Video (per 1,000) | $2.49 | $1.99 | $1.49 | $1.29 |

On the Free plan, 1,000 Kwai videos cost $2.49 and a 278-video profile costs about $0.69. `maxItems` is the main cost lever: a run costs roughly price × videos per input × number of profiles, playlists and search terms, plus one video per video URL. You can also set a maximum cost per run in Apify Console. The Actor stops cleanly when it reaches that limit.

### Use the Kwai API from Python or JavaScript

Get your API token from [Apify Console](https://console.apify.com/settings/integrations), then call the Actor with the [Apify API client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python).

**Python**

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("parsebird/kwai-scraper").call(run_input={
    "urls": ["https://www.kwai.com/@topfilmeseseriesnatv"],
    "maxItems": 100,
})
for video in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(video["caption"], video["viewCount"], video["likeCount"], video["playUrl"])
```

**JavaScript**

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: '<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>' });
const run = await client.actor('parsebird/kwai-scraper').call({
    searchTerms: ['receita de bolo'],
    maxItems: 50,
});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(`${items.length} Kwai videos`, items[0]);
```

The full endpoint reference, including synchronous runs that return the dataset in one call, is on the [API tab](https://apify.com/parsebird/kwai-scraper/api).

### Use cases

- **Influencer marketing.** Pull a Kwai creator's whole profile to compare views, likes and shares per video before you reach out.
- **Trend and content research.** Search Kwai for a topic and see which captions, hashtags, sounds and genres get the most views.
- **Competitor monitoring.** Schedule a profile scrape to track a brand or creator's new uploads and their engagement over time.
- **Media archiving.** Collect MP4 links and covers for a creator's videos or a playlist.
- **Text and language research.** Collect Portuguese and Spanish captions and transcripts for NLP or sentiment analysis.

### How it works

1. Each URL is recognised as a video, profile or playlist. Share links are opened to find the video they point to, and duplicates are merged.
2. The Actor calls the public endpoints kwai.com uses for logged-out visitors and pages through profiles, playlists and search results until it reaches `maxItems` or the end of the list.
3. For each video it also reads the structured data Kwai publishes for search engines, which adds the transcript, genres and the creator's follower, like and video counts.
4. Rows are saved and charged as they come in. A run that Apify moves to another server resumes without duplicates.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Kwai account, cookie or API key?**
No. The Actor reads public data the way a logged-out visitor sees it on kwai.com.

**Does it scrape Kwai comments?**
No. As of November 2026, Kwai's website returns an empty comment list to logged-out visitors. We confirmed this from several countries, including through a real browser on a Brazilian residential IP. So this Actor doesn't offer comment text. Every row still includes `commentCount`.

**Why is `transcript` empty for some videos?**
Kwai publishes a transcript for only part of its videos. When it has none, the field is an empty string. It is `null` only in the rare case that Kwai's structured data for the video couldn't be loaded.

**Why is `genres` empty for some videos?**
`genres` holds Kwai's own category labels. Kwai doesn't categorise every video, and when it hasn't, the list is empty.

**How many search results can I get?**
Kwai search doesn't end. Deeper pages repeat earlier videos more and more often, so the Actor stops a search term once Kwai stops adding new videos. With `maxItems` set to 0, it also stops at 5,000 videos per term. In testing, a broad term like "neymar" kept returning new videos past 1,700, while a very specific phrase stopped after about 580.

**Can I download the videos?**
`playUrl` is a direct MP4 link. In testing, links from months-old runs still played. You can download them yourself, or use an Apify integration to send them to your storage.

**Can I scrape private accounts?**
No. The Actor only sees what a logged-out visitor sees.

**Why did my profile return nothing?**
Check that the username matches exactly, including capital letters: Kwai usernames are case-sensitive. Profiles with no public videos return nothing and aren't charged.

**Can I schedule recurring runs?**
Yes. Use [Apify Schedules](https://docs.apify.com/platform/schedules) to run hourly, daily or weekly.

**Can I use it with Make, Zapier, Google Sheets or an AI agent?**
Yes, through [Apify integrations](https://docs.apify.com/platform/integrations) and the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2). The Actor is also available to AI agents through the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/platform/integrations/mcp).

**Something doesn't work. What should I do?**
Open an issue on the [Issues tab](https://apify.com/parsebird/kwai-scraper/issues) with your run link. We read every report.

### Is it legal to scrape Kwai?

This Actor only collects publicly available data that any logged-out visitor can see on kwai.com. It doesn't log in, bypass paywalls or access private content. Videos and creator profiles can still include personal data, which is protected by laws such as the GDPR and Brazil's LGPD. Don't scrape personal data unless you have a legitimate reason, and check Kwai's terms of service before you use the data. If you're unsure, consult a lawyer. # Actor input Schema

## `urls` (type: `array`):

Add Kwai links, one per line. A video link (<code>https://www.kwai.com/@user/video/5213629630362183094</code>) returns that video. A profile (<code>https://www.kwai.com/@topfilmeseseriesnatv</code>) or playlist (<code>https://www.kwai.com/@user/playlist/45074491059995286</code>) returns its videos, up to <b>Max videos</b>. Share links such as <code>https://k.kwai.com/p/CCzy11ul</code> also work.

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Enter keywords to search Kwai videos, one per line. Each term is searched separately and returns up to <b>Max videos</b>.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Set how many videos to save for each profile, playlist and search term. Video links always return one video each. Use <b>0</b> for no limit: a whole profile or playlist, or up to 5,000 videos per search term. This is the main cost lever.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed for normal use. Only set a proxy if your runs are being throttled. Kwai doesn't serve mainland China, so don't pick a Chinese proxy.
