## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

### What is LinkedIn Company Scraper Bulk?

LinkedIn Company Scraper Bulk is a **LinkedIn company data extractor** that reads the public company page that [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/) shows to logged-out visitors and turns it into clean JSON. It is a **LinkedIn company API alternative** for firmographic enrichment, lead generation, and market research.

The easiest way to try it: keep the two example URLs (Microsoft and Stripe), click **Start**, and open the dataset a few seconds later.

Because it never logs in, there are **no cookies to manage and no LinkedIn account that can be restricted**.

### What can LinkedIn Company Scraper Bulk do?

- 🏢 **Scrape LinkedIn companies in bulk** — paste hundreds or thousands of URLs; pages are fetched in parallel.
- 🔗 **Flexible input** — company URLs, showcase URLs, country subdomains (`uk.linkedin.com`), `/about/` links, or bare slugs like `stripe`. Duplicates are removed automatically.
- 📊 **25+ fields per company** — firmographics, LinkedIn company ID, logo, cover image, slogan, website, and followers.
- 🌍 **All office locations** — every address listed on the page, not just headquarters.
- 🧭 **Affiliated and similar pages** — related companies with industry and location, ready for account mapping.
- 📰 **Recent posts and products** — the posts and product cards shown on the public page.
- 🧾 **Pay only for successes** — URLs that can't be scraped are returned with an error message and are not charged.

As an Apify Actor it also gives you [scheduling](https://docs.apify.com/platform/schedules), a [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2), [integrations](https://apify.com/integrations) with Make, Zapier, Google Sheets, HubSpot, and webhooks, and exports to JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, or HTML.

- **Account mapping** — use affiliated pages to find subsidiaries and brands of a parent company.
- **Competitor and market research** — expand a seed list through similar pages and compare firmographics.
- **Sales territory planning** — use every office address, not just headquarters.
- **Brand monitoring** — track follower growth and recent posts on a schedule.

### How much does it cost to scrape LinkedIn company pages?

LinkedIn Company Scraper Bulk uses pay-per-event pricing: you pay per company scraped, and failed URLs are free.

| Event | Free plan | Bronze | Silver | Gold |
|-------|-----------|--------|--------|------|
| `company-scraped` — per company | $0.00199 | $0.00179 | $0.00159 | $0.00149 |
| Per 1,000 companies | **$1.99** | **$1.79** | **$1.59** | **$1.49** |

For example, 1,000 companies on the Free plan cost $1.99. Apify's free monthly platform credit covers about 2,500 companies a month. Use a [spending limit](https://docs.apify.com/platform/actors/running/usage-and-resources) to cap a run.

### Is it legal to scrape LinkedIn company data?

LinkedIn Company Scraper Bulk reads only public company pages that LinkedIn shows to logged-out visitors. It does not log in, use cookies, or access private data. Company data is mostly business information, but the `employees` field contains names of people shown on the page, which can be personal data under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws. Make sure you have a legitimate reason to process it, and consult a lawyer if in doubt. Read more in Apify's post [Is web scraping legal?](https://blog.apify.com/is-web-scraping-legal/)

### FAQ

**Do I need LinkedIn cookies or an account?**
No. The actor reads the public company page shown to logged-out visitors, so no cookies or account are involved.

**Do I need to configure a proxy?**
No. Apify datacenter proxies are used automatically and work for public company pages. A proxy you select in **Proxy configuration** is used only as a fallback for pages that stay blocked.

**Why is `numberOfEmployees` different from `Company size`?**
`Company size` is the range the company selected. `numberOfEmployees` counts LinkedIn members who list the company as their employer.

**Why are some fields `null`?**
LinkedIn only shows what the company filled in. For example, many pages have no `Founded` year or `Specialties`.

**Why does the `employees` list only have a few people?**
Logged-out visitors see only a few members on a company page; the rest are hidden by LinkedIn.

**Can I scrape showcase pages?**
Yes. `linkedin.com/showcase/...` URLs return the same fields.

**What happens with a wrong URL?**
Invalid URLs, people profiles, and pages that don't exist are returned as rows with an `error` field and are not charged.

**Can I schedule runs or send results to my CRM?**
Yes. Use [Apify schedules](https://docs.apify.com/platform/schedules) and [integrations](https://apify.com/integrations) or webhooks to push data to Google Sheets, HubSpot, Make, or Zapier.

**Something doesn't work?**
Open an issue on the [Issues tab](https://apify.com/parsebird/linkedin-company-scraper/issues) with your run link.

# Actor input Schema

## `url` (type: `array`):

Add LinkedIn company pages, one per line, e.g. <code>https://www.linkedin.com/company/microsoft</code>. Showcase pages (<code>/showcase/</code>), country subdomains, <code>/about/</code> links, and bare slugs like <code>stripe</code> also work. Use Bulk edit to paste thousands at once.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. The actor always starts on Apify datacenter proxies, which work for public company pages. A proxy you select here is only used as a fallback for pages that stay blocked.
