Taobao and Tmall are the largest consumer marketplaces in China, and most of their data sits behind a login and a slider challenge. This Actor reads the public overseas catalogue that Taobao publishes on world.taobao.com, the same pages any visitor outside China can open, and turns them into clean rows: product title, image gallery, price in yuan plus your local currency, shop name and ID, the shop's three rating scores, seller credit level, ship-from city, category path, review count, the latest buyer review and the phrases buyers repeat most.

Coverage is Taobao's full overseas catalogue. A search for 手机壳 (phone case) reports 14,215 matching products, of which the public pages rank the top 41. A shop page shows 60 of its products (the demo shop lists 1,292), and a category page shows its top 20. Across a 60 product sample, 100 percent of rows carried the shop scores, ship-from location and category IDs, 98 percent the latest buyer review, 75 percent a review count with buyer highlights, and 95 percent were Tmall stores.

No. The Actor only reads pages Taobao shows to any visitor outside China, so it never logs in and never asks for your cookies.

#### 🔢 How many products do I get per keyword?

Up to 41: the 20 best sellers on the main list plus the extra products on Taobao's top-rated list. Add more keywords, shops or categories to go wider.

#### 🌐 Should I search in Chinese or English?

Chinese. Taobao publishes a public page only for keywords in its own index, and in our tests every Chinese keyword had one (8 of 8, for example 蓝牙耳机, 口红, 机械键盘, 猫粮) while English terms worked about half the time (phone case, earphones and lipstick yes; bluetooth earphones and mechanical keyboard no). A keyword without a page is reported as a free error row with a suggestion, never charged.

Taobao refreshes the listing cards less often than the product page. When the product page is read, every price column (local, yuan, HKD, TWD, original and promotion) is taken from it, and the card price is kept in `listingPriceCny` so you can see both.

#### ✂️ Why does a title end with "..."?

Rows from product links use the product page title, which Taobao shortens. Rows from keywords, shops and categories carry the full title from the listing card.

#### ⚡ Can I skip the product pages to go faster?

Yes. Turn off "Open each product page" and every row still has the title, image, prices, shop and category. Location, seller scores and reviews need the product page.

#### 🛡️ Why is the proxy on by default?

Taobao shows a slider challenge to most visitors without a proxy. The datacenter proxy works well; switch to residential if you ever see repeated challenges.

#### 🧾 Am I charged for errors?

No. Error rows, for example a product that is no longer listed, are written to the dataset for transparency and never charged.

#### 🏪 Where do I find a shop ID or category ID?

Every product row has `shopId` and `categoryId`. Copy them into the Shop IDs or Category IDs fields to explore that shop or category next.

Keywords to look up in Taobao's public catalogue, one per line. Use Chinese keywords (for example 手机壳, 连衣裙, 蓝牙耳机): every Chinese term we tested has a page, while English terms work only when Taobao indexes them (phone case yes, bluetooth earphones no). Each keyword returns its best-selling products, up to about 41 per keyword.

Adds the Tmall or Taobao platform flag, ship-from location, original and promotion price, seller credit level, shop rating scores, shop age, review count, positive rate, review highlights and the latest review. Costs one extra page per product, so switch it off for faster, lighter listing-only runs.

## `includeTopRated` (type: `boolean`):

For each keyword, also reads Taobao's top-rated list, which roughly doubles the products per keyword (from 20 to about 41).

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
