## Pricing

from $12.00 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Steam Games Data Scraper

This Steam scraper finds games in the Steam store and returns clean rows with the price, discount, review score, tags, languages, Steam Deck status and much more. Search by keyword, tag, price, discount or review score, look up games by name, download player reviews, read the most played chart or collect the latest news of any game.

A game row already carries what you would otherwise combine from several pages: the current price and the original price in the currency of the country you choose, every edition and bundle with its own discount, the review label, the percent of positive reviews and the review count, the developer and publisher, the release date, the tags by name, supported and fully voiced languages, feature flags such as single player, co-op, achievements and cloud saves, and the Steam Deck compatibility. You can add players online right now and the full store details on top.

Game studios, publishers, deal hunters, market researchers, journalists and content creators use it to find deals, follow competitors and study what players say.

### What can you do with this Steam scraper?

- Find Steam games on sale with a minimum discount and a minimum review score
- Search games by tag, for example every roguelike under 15 dollars
- Compare Steam prices across countries
- See the most played games right now and how their rank changed since last week
- List new releases by month
- Download the negative reviews of a game from the last 30 days
- Get the most helpful reviews of a competitor's game
- See how many hours a reviewer had played when they wrote the review
- Check which games are verified for Steam Deck
- Follow patch notes and announcements of a game
- Export Steam data to CSV or Excel

### What data can you extract from Steam?

| Mode | One row is | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Search games | One game | Name, link, short description, developers, publishers, release date, price, original price, discount, editions, review label, positive percent, review count, tags, platforms, Steam Deck status, feature flags, languages, age rating, website |
| Look up games | One game | Same fields for the games you name, plus optional players online now and full store details |
| Player reviews | One review | Review text, word count, recommended or not, votes, funny votes, helpfulness score, comments, purchase type, playtime in total and at review time, games owned, developer response, dates |
| Charts | One game in a chart | Rank, last week rank and change, peak players last week, players now, plus the store fields |
| Game news | One announcement | Title, feed, date, text, link, tags such as patchnotes |

Optional full store details add genres, the Metacritic score, the number of achievements, system requirements, screenshots, trailers, downloadable content and the support contact.

### How much does it cost to scrape Steam?

You pay per result: $16 per 1,000 rows plus a tiny start fee. The free plan returns up to 10 rows per run. Store data and reviews come in batches, so a search of a few hundred games finishes in a minute or two.

### Tips for better results

- Tags work by name, for example `Roguelike` or `Souls-like`. A game must have all the tags you list.
- Prices follow the store country. Change the country code to compare prices in another currency. The price fields keep their names in every currency.
- Full store details and players online need extra requests per game, and Steam limits how fast they can be made. Turn them on only when you need them. The Actor waits and retries when Steam asks it to slow down.
- Reviews do not include reviewer names or profile links. You get playtime, games owned and the number of reviews written, which is enough to weigh an opinion.
- For a language filter in reviews mode, enter a Steam language name such as english or spanish. Leave it empty to get all languages.

### Who uses Steam data?

- **Deal hunters and newsletters** publish the best discounts every day.
- **Studios and publishers** follow competitors, pricing and player feedback.
- **Researchers and journalists** study trends, genres and review patterns.
- **Developers** power price trackers, Discord bots and dashboards.

### Automate and connect

Schedule the Actor every day to catch new discounts, or every hour during a sale to watch prices. Send finished datasets to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make or n8n, or trigger a webhook when a run ends.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Steam account?**
No. The Actor works without any login.

**Does it include reviewer names?**
No. Reviewer names and profile links are left out on purpose.

**Why are some prices empty?**
Free games and games that are not for sale in the chosen country have no price.

**Can I get the player count history?**
No. You get the number of players right now and the peak of last week for the most played games.

**Does it cover software, not only games?**
Yes. Turn on the option to include software and other items in search.
