## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Contact Scraper – Emails, Phones, Socials, AI Flags

Give it business website URLs. Get back **contacts** (emails, phones, contact page, contact form, social profiles) and **AI-readiness flags**: online booking, live chat, AI chatbot, schema.org LocalBusiness markup, `llms.txt`, website builder/tech stack, plus a 0–100 **reachability score** and a list of **AI-readiness gaps**.

**Price: $2.50 per 1,000 sites** ($0.0025 per enriched site + $0.005 per run). Unreachable sites are free.

Scans only each business's **own public website** (homepage + up to 9 contact/about/booking pages + /llms.txt). No Google Maps, no logins, no third-party directories.

### Input

```json
{ "urls": ["https://example-dental.com", "joesplumbing.com"], "maxPagesPerSite": 5 }
```

### Output (one record per site)

| field | meaning |
|---|---|
| domain, businessName, finalUrl | who |
| emails, phones, contactPageUrl, hasContactForm | how to reach them |
| socials | facebook, instagram, linkedin, x, youtube, tiktok, yelp URLs |
| hasOnlineBooking, bookingProviders | e.g. calendly, opentable, vagaro, square |
| hasLiveChat, chatProviders | e.g. intercom, tawk, tidio, podium |
| hasAiChatbot, aiChatbotProviders | e.g. chatbase, voiceflow, botpress, ada |
| hasLocalBusinessSchema, schemaTypes | structured data AI search engines read |
| hasLlmsTxt | site publishes /llms.txt for AI agents |
| techStack | wordpress, wix, squarespace, shopify, analytics… |
| reachabilityScore | 0–100: emails 35, phones 25, contact page 10, form 10, socials up to 20 |
| aiReadinessGaps | e.g. "no llms.txt", "no online booking" — ready-made pitch angles |
| error | set when the site couldn't be loaded (not charged) |

### For AI agents / MCP

Required input: `urls` (array of strings). Use it after you already have a list of business websites, to find who to contact and **which AI/automation service each business is missing** (booking, chat, AI receptionist, GEO/schema). Output is flat JSON. Typical speed: ~2–5 s per site, 5 sites in parallel.

### Use cases

Agencies selling AI receptionists, chatbots, booking or GEO/AI-search services; lead qualification; CRM enrichment; local market research.

### Notes

Polite crawling (sequential pages per site, small delays). Only publicly published contact info is returned. Follow anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR) when contacting anyone.

### FAQ

**Is this an email extractor / contact details scraper?** Yes. It extracts emails, phone numbers, contact page, contact form and social profiles from each website, plus AI-readiness flags no other contact scraper returns.
**Does it scrape Google Maps?** No. Bring your own list of websites (from your CRM, a directory export or another Actor); it only visits each business's own site.
**What does it cost?** $0.005 per run + $0.0025 per site enriched. 1,000 sites ≈ $2.51. Sites that fail to load are free.
**What do the AI-readiness flags mean?** Whether the site already has online booking/ordering, live chat, an AI chatbot, schema.org LocalBusiness markup and an llms.txt file. `aiReadinessGaps` lists what is missing: useful for agencies selling AI receptionists, chatbots, booking or AI-search (GEO) services.
**Why is `emails` empty for some sites?** Many small businesses publish only a phone or contact form; those are still returned.
**Can AI agents call it?** Yes, via Apify MCP or API. Only `urls` is required.

# Actor input Schema

## `urls` (type: `array`):

Business homepages to enrich, e.g. 'https://example-dental.com'. Domains without https:// are accepted. One result per site.

## `maxPagesPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Homepage plus contact/about/booking pages found on it. 5 is enough for most small businesses.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many sites to process at once. Each site still gets polite sequential requests.

## `proxy` (type: `object`):

Usually not needed: requests go only to the business's own website.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "urls": [
    "https://franklinbbq.com",
    "https://www.mollymaid.com"
  ],
  "maxPagesPerSite": 5,
  "concurrency": 5,
  "proxy": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `businesses` (type: `string`):

Contacts, socials, AI-readiness flags and reachability score per site.
