# Public Page Fact Monitor (`peaceable_derby/public-page-fact-monitor`) Actor

Monitor public pages for structured facts (schema.org Organization / Product / Offer, Open Graph, title) and emit field-level change events. Robots / login / CAPTCHA / ToS-blocked social hosts are rejected. Missing values stay UNKNOWN. No AI. Deterministic extraction.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Public Page Fact Monitor

PRIVATE Apify Actor source. **Not published to the Apify Store. isPublic=false.**

Extracts Organization / Product / Offer facts from public HTML (JSON-LD, Open Graph, title) and emits field-level change events against a previous snapshot you supply.

This tree is deployment-qualification packaging (ARX-REVENUE-R4A). Local repo qualification still uses `desk.revenue` modules, not the vendored cloud copies.

### Will not do

- Scrape LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or X
- Bypass login, CAPTCHA, or robots.txt
- Invent missing values as 0
- Call Grok / xAI / other paid models
- Publish to Store, set isPublic, or enable PPE from this package

### Input

See `input_schema.json`. Default `allow_live_http=false` (fixture-only). A bounded TEST\_RUN may set it true for a safe public GET.

### Output

- `page_facts` — normalized facts, schema types, provenance hash
- `change_event` — field-level from/to when previous facts differ
- `access_rejection` — robots / login / CAPTCHA / ToS-blocked host / private
- `run_summary` — counts; `model_cost=0`

### Run locally (repo)

```
python -m desk.revenue.r4_run
python -m desk.qualify_revenue_r4
```

Cloud entry is `src/main.py` (Apify SDK). Local `main.py` stays argparse-only.

`execute_publish` and `create_apify_account` remain hard-refused in repo code. This package does not call them.

# Actor input Schema

## `pages` (type: `array`):

Public pages to check. Prefer pages you have a right to fetch. Local HTML fixtures supported for tests.

## `previous_facts` (type: `array`):

Prior page\_facts records used as the baseline for change events.

## `respect_robots` (type: `boolean`):

When true, robots.txt Disallow rejects the page. Default true.

## `max_pages` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap on pages processed this run.

## `allow_live_http` (type: `boolean`):

Default false (fixture-only). Set true only for an authorized bounded TEST\_RUN against a safe public URL.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "respect_robots": true,
  "max_pages": 20,
  "allow_live_http": false
}
# API
You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.
## JavaScript example
```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';

// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});

// Prepare Actor input
const input = {};

// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("peaceable_derby/public-page-fact-monitor").call(input);

// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
