## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

### Technical details

Every company that raises money privately in the US (Regulation D) must file a **Form D** with the SEC within 15 days of its first sale. This actor pulls new Form D filings from SEC EDGAR and parses each one into a clean record: company, address, phone, industry, offering size, amount raised, number of investors, and the executives, directors and promoters behind it.

**Who uses it:** B2B SaaS and agency sales teams (freshly funded companies buy), recruiters, VCs and angels (deal flow), fund administrators, accountants and lawyers, and fintech and banking business development.

### Output

`companyName`, `cik`, `accessionNumber`, `filingDate`, `formType` (D or D/A), `isAmendment`, `entityType`, `jurisdictionOfInc`, `yearOfInc`, `street`, `city`, `state` (EDGAR state/country code), `stateOrCountryName`, `zip`, `phone`, `industryGroup`, `investmentFundType`, `revenueRange`, `federalExemptions`, `securitiesOffered`, `dateOfFirstSale`, `totalOfferingAmount`, `totalAmountSold`, `totalRemaining`, `minimumInvestment`, `totalInvestors`, `hasNonAccreditedInvestors`, `salesCommissions`, `findersFees`, `salesCompensation` (placement agents), `relatedPersons` (name, relationships, city, state), `filingUrl`, `xmlUrl`.

`totalOfferingAmount` and `totalRemaining` can be the text `"Indefinite"`, which is common for investment funds.

```json
{"companyName": "Soliton ID, Inc.", "filingDate": "2026-10-29", "industryGroup": "Other Technology", "securitiesOffered": ["Simple Agreements for Future Equity (SAFEs)"],
 "totalOfferingAmount": 1000000, "totalAmountSold": 105000, "totalInvestors": 2, "phone": "(438) 926-7659",
 "relatedPersons": [{"name": "Georges Abou-Rjeili", "relationships": ["Executive Officer", "Director"]}]}
```

### Input

| Field | Default | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| `daysBack` | 3 | Filings from the last N days |
| `dateFrom` / `dateTo` | - | Exact filing-date range |
| `includeAmendments` | false | Also return D/A filings (after the new filings) |
| `states` | all | Issuer business-address codes, e.g. `CA`, `NY` |

### Pricing

Pay per result: one `result` event per filing.
