## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper

Get every open job from any company's **Workday careers site** (the `something.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com` pages that thousands of large employers use: NVIDIA, Intel, Applied Materials, KLA, Lumentum, Ciena and many more).

No login, no browser, no API key. It reads the same public data the careers page itself shows.

### What makes this one different

- **Real posting dates.** Workday's job list only says "Posted 30+ Days Ago". This scraper opens each job and returns the actual date (e.g. `2026-08-04`), so you can sort and filter properly.
- **Full description** as both HTML and clean plain text.
- **New-jobs monitor.** Turn on *Only jobs new since last run*, schedule it daily, and you only get (and only pay for) jobs you haven't seen before.
- **Filters that work before you pay:** keyword search (uses the site's own search), location (whole-word match, so `CA` matches "Santa Clara,CA" but `OR` doesn't match "Bangalore"), and "posted within N days".
- **Fast mode:** turn off *Include full details* for a quick title + link + location list.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `startUrls` | One link per company careers site, e.g. `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`. Any page from that site works. |
| `searchText` | Optional keyword, e.g. `optical engineer`. |
| `locationContains` | Optional, comma-separated, e.g. `CA, TX, Remote`. |
| `postedWithinDays` | Optional, e.g. `7` for last week only. |
| `maxJobsPerSite` | Cap per company (default 200, 0 = all). |
| `includeDetails` | Exact date + description + req ID (default on). |
| `onlyNewJobs` / `monitorName` | Monitor mode for scheduled runs. |
| `maxConcurrency` | Parallel requests (default 5; keep it polite). |

Example:

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    { "url": "https://lumentum.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/LITE" },
    { "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite" }
  ],
  "searchText": "optical",
  "maxJobsPerSite": 50
}
```

### Output (one row per job)

```json
{
  "company": "lumentum",
  "careersSite": "https://lumentum.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/LITE",
  "title": "Senior Optical Engineer / Applied Physicist",
  "location": "Slovenia - Skofljica",
  "url": "https://lumentum.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/LITE/job/Slovenia---Skofljica/Senior-Optical-Engineer---Applied-Physicist_2026566",
  "jobReqId": "2026566",
  "postedOnText": "Posted 30+ Days Ago",
  "postedDate": "2026-08-04",
  "postedDateIsExact": true,
  "timeType": "Full time",
  "country": "Slovenia",
  "countryCode": "SI",
  "descriptionText": "…",
  "descriptionHtml": "…",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-22T06:30:00.000Z"
}
```

Export as JSON, CSV, Excel, or pull it by API like any Apify dataset.

### Good uses

Job boards and niche job aggregators, recruiting and sales-intelligence (who is hiring for what, where), hiring-trend tracking, and personal job alerts.

### Pricing

Pay per event: one `job-posting` charge per job saved. You can cap spend with Apify's max-cost-per-run setting; the scraper stops cleanly when it's reached.

**Price:** $0.0015 per job saved ($1.50 per 1,000 jobs). No start fee. You pay only for jobs actually saved.

### Notes

- Only public job postings are collected. No personal data about applicants or employees.
- Workday seems to report at most 2,000 matches per search on big sites (seen on Applied Materials); use keywords or filters to narrow very large employers.
- If a careers site changes or goes down, the run logs a warning for that site and carries on with the others.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

One URL per company careers site, e.g. https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite . Any page on the site works (a job link or a search page); the scraper works out the company and site from it.

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Optional. Passed to the site's own search box, e.g. 'optical engineer'. Leave empty for all jobs.

## `locationContains` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keep only jobs whose location text contains this (case-insensitive), e.g. 'California' or 'Remote'. Comma-separate several to match any.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Keep only jobs posted in the last N days. 0 = no limit.

## `maxJobsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many matching jobs per careers site. 0 = no limit.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open each job to get the exact posting date, full description, req ID, country and job type. Turn off for a faster title-and-link-only list.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Monitor mode: skip jobs this scraper already returned in a previous run with the same 'monitor name'. Good for daily scheduled runs.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Used with 'Only jobs new since last run'. Runs that share a name share memory of jobs already seen.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Keep this low to be polite to the careers sites.
