## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Contact Scraper: Emails, Phones, Socials & Team

> 🔥 **Launch Sale: 90% OFF for the first week!** Every price below is already the regular, below-market rate, and launch week takes 90% off on top.

Paste websites or domains and get every public email, phone number, social profile and team member (name + title) from the homepage, contact, about and team pages. Fast HTTP crawl, no login, no API key.

### What can Website Contact Scraper do?

Paste a list of company websites. For each one we read the homepage, follow the links that look like contact, team, about or impressum pages, and pull out every public email (including Cloudflare-obfuscated and `name [at] domain` ones), phone number, social profile and team member with their title.

| What you get | Features |
|---|---|
| 📧 Emails, split into on-domain and third-party | ⚡ Plain HTTP crawl: about a second per site |
| 📞 Phone numbers from tel: links and labelled text | 🔍 Decodes Cloudflare email protection and \[at]/\[dot] tricks |
| 🔗 LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, GitHub, TikTok | 🧑‍💼 Team names + titles from team pages and Person markup |
| 📄 Which page each contact came from | 📤 CSV, Excel, JSON, API, Zapier, Make, n8n |

### Who this is for

- Sales teams turning a list of target accounts into reachable inboxes
- Agencies building outreach lists for clients
- Recruiters finding founders and hiring managers on small-company sites
- CRM hygiene: fill in missing phones and socials

### What you get back

| Field | Type | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| `domain` | `string` | domain |
| `status` | `string` | status |
| `emails` | `array of string` | emails |
| `phones` | `array of string` | phones |
| `linkedin` | `string/null` | linkedin |
| `twitter` | `string/null` | twitter |
| `team_members_count` | `integer` | team members count |
| `team_members` | `array of object` | team members |
| `contact_page_url` | `string/null` | contact page url |
| `pages_crawled_count` | `integer` | pages crawled count |
| `final_url` | `string` | final url |

Full rows carry 19 fields; see the **Output** tab for the complete schema. A sample (trimmed) row:

```json
{
  "domain": "apify.com",
  "status": "ok",
  "emails": [
    "hello@apify.com"
  ],
  "linkedin": "https://linkedin.com/company/apify"
}
```

### What you need to provide

| Field | Type | Required | What it does | Sample |
|---|---|---:|---|---|
| `startUrls` | `array` | Yes | One per line. Full URLs or bare domains both work: apify.com, https://www.python.org. Duplicates are merged per domain. | `["apify.com", "python.org"]` |
| `maxPagesPerDomain` | `integer` | No | Homepage plus the most contact-like pages we find (contact, team, about, impressum). 6 is plenty for most sites. | `4` |
| `includeTeamMembers` | `boolean` | No | Pull names and job titles from team, about and leadership pages (and Person markup). | `true` |
| `onlyDomainEmails` | `boolean` | No | Drop third-party addresses such as agency or gmail.com emails. Everything is still listed in emails_on_domain either way. | `false` |
| `maxConcurrency` | `integer` | No | How many websites to crawl at once. | `5` |
| `proxyConfiguration` | `object` | No | Optional. Direct requests work for most sites; switch on Apify Proxy for sites that block datacenter IPs. | `{"useApifyProxy": false}` |

#### Quick start

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. Press **Start**. The sample input finishes in well under a minute with no keys or accounts.
3. Replace the sample with your own list and run again.
4. Download the dataset as CSV, Excel or JSON, or pull it from the API.

### Pricing

Pay per result, no subscription. **Launch Sale: 90% OFF for the first week!**

- `domain-scraped`: **$0.003** (website with contacts, $3 per 1,000). One website that returned at least one email, phone, social link or team member. Unreachable sites and sites with no contacts are free.
- For comparison: $0.005-0.01 per site on comparable contact scrapers.
- Set a max cost per run in the run options and the run stops cleanly when it hits it.
- Normal Apify platform usage (compute, optional proxy) applies.

### Limits and honest notes

- Reads public HTML only. Contacts rendered purely by JavaScript after page load may be missed.
- Team detection uses page structure and Person markup; very custom layouts can yield few names.
- We never guess or generate emails. If a site lists none, the row says `no_contacts` and you are not charged.
- Respect each site's terms and local privacy law (GDPR/CAN-SPAM) when you use the contacts.
- All collection is done by this Actor itself over public sources; it never calls other paid Actors.

### Code and API

Same input as the Console sample:

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    "apify.com",
    "python.org"
  ],
  "maxPagesPerDomain": 4
}
```

```sh
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/physealabs~website-contact-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=$APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d @input.json
```

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
items = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN").actor("physealabs/website-contact-scraper").call(run_input={"startUrls": ["apify.com", "python.org"], "maxPagesPerDomain": 4})
```

It also works from Zapier, Make, n8n and Apify schedules.
