## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 products

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Woolworths & Coles Scraper

Get products and prices from Woolworths, Australia's biggest supermarket, without an account or a
browser. **Coles isn't read:** only the name still says so, and a Coles URL or store option in an
input is skipped with a line in the log.

- **Search:** the products Woolworths shows for a keyword, in its order.
- **Categories:** any category or aisle page, by URL.
- **Specials:** every product on special, or one specials page, such as half-price, by URL.
- **Products:** single product pages, by URL.

Every product comes with its price, was price and savings, whether it's on special or half
price, the offer (Save $1.60, 2 for $9.00, Pick any 3 for $5.10), the multibuy quantity and
price, the unit price ($1.75 / 100G), stock, brand, size, department and category, image and
link, and its barcode.

It is fast: 137 products from a search, a category and all specials took 21 seconds. It costs **$1 per 1,000 products** on Apify's paid plans ($2 on
the free plan).

### What people use it for

- **Price tracking:** a run a week on a category or a basket of searches, for price history and
  inflation research.
- **Specials alerts:** what's half price this week, in a category or across the whole store.
- **Retail and brand analytics:** a brand's range, shelf prices and promotions.

### How to scrape Woolworths

1. Click **Try for free**; Apify's free plan covers a first run.
2. Fill in **Search terms**, **URLs** or turn on **All specials**, and how many products you want
   from each.
3. Click **Start**, then download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read them through
   the API.

**Only products on special** leaves out the rest, from searches and categories too.

```json
{
  "searchTerms": ["tim tam", "full cream milk 2l"],
  "urls": [
    "https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/browse/dairy-eggs-fridge/milk",
    "https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/browse/specials/half-price"
  ],
  "maxProductsPerSource": 200
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "store": "Woolworths",
  "id": "84628",
  "name": "Arnott's Tim Tam Original Chocolate Biscuits Large Pack",
  "brand": "Arnott's",
  "size": "365g",
  "price": 6.4,
  "wasPrice": 8,
  "savings": 1.6,
  "onSpecial": true,
  "halfPrice": false,
  "promotion": "Save $1.60",
  "multibuyQuantity": null,
  "multibuyPrice": null,
  "unitPrice": 1.75,
  "unitMeasure": "100G",
  "unitPriceText": "$1.75 / 100G",
  "inStock": true,
  "department": "Snacks & Confectionery",
  "category": "Biscuits & Cookies",
  "barcode": "9310072010816",
  "isSponsored": false,
  "imageUrl": "https://cdn1.woolworths.media/content/wowproductimages/large/084628.jpg",
  "url": "https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/84628/arnott-s-tim-tam-original-chocolate-biscuits-large-pack",
  "input": "search: tim tam"
}
```

Prices are in Australian dollars. `multibuyPrice` is the price of `multibuyQuantity` items
together. `isSponsored` marks the products Woolworths shows as ads among its results.

### Use it as an API

One call runs it and returns the results as JSON (for runs under 5 minutes; longer ones start a
run and read its dataset). Apify's Python and JavaScript clients, and its Make, Zapier and n8n
integrations, work the same way.

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/pikoulas~woolworths-coles/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"searchTerms": ["tim tam"], "maxProductsPerSource": 20}'
```

AI agents can call it as a tool through Apify's MCP server: `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=pikoulas/woolworths-coles`.

### How much does it cost to scrape Woolworths?

You pay **$0.001 per product** on Apify's paid plans, which is $1 per 1,000, and $0.002 on the
free plan. In a run where Woolworths refuses Apify's own IPs, the run moves to Apify's residential
proxy, paid at $0.0012 per 100 KB. There are no monthly fees.

### Good to know

- Prices are Woolworths' online prices for a visitor who hasn't picked a store; they can differ
  from store to store.
- A product found by several searches or URLs is given once per run.
- Woolworths' Everyday Market, its other sellers' products, comes last in All specials.

### FAQ

#### Is it legal to scrape Woolworths?

It collects only what Woolworths shows publicly, without logging in. Personal data is also protected by laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA, and Woolworths' terms may limit how you use what you collect. If you're unsure, ask a lawyer; Apify's
[Is web scraping legal?](https://blog.apify.com/is-web-scraping-legal/) is a good start.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Searched at Woolworths, products in its order.

## `urls` (type: `array`):

Woolworths pages: a search, a category (woolworths.com.au/shop/browse/...), specials (woolworths.com.au/shop/browse/specials/half-price) or a product. Coles isn't read: a Coles URL is skipped.

## `allSpecials` (type: `boolean`):

Every product on special at Woolworths, department by department.

## `specialsOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Leaves out the products that aren't on special, from searches and categories too.

## `maxProductsPerSource` (type: `integer`):

Products from each search term, each URL, and All specials.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed. Woolworths is read from the run's own IP, moving to Apify's residential proxy only if it refuses that one.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchTerms": [
    "tim tam"
  ],
  "allSpecials": false,
  "specialsOnly": false,
  "maxProductsPerSource": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
