## Grants.gov Federal Grant Opportunities Scraper API

Search the official, public Grants.gov API for federal funding notices and return buyer-ready, source-linked opportunity evidence. Use it for grant prospecting, funding research, nonprofit pipelines, university research alerts, and federal opportunity monitoring.

### What it returns

- opportunity ID/number, title, agency, status, posted/close/archive dates
- synopsis and applicant eligibility descriptions
- funding instruments/categories, award ceiling/floor, estimated funding, expected awards
- Assistance Listing / CFDA numbers and titles
- agency contact details and official Grants.gov/agency URLs
- retrieval timestamp, exact query, source hit count, total result bound, and evidence caveats
- explicit `NO_MATCH`, `INVALID_INPUT`, or `SOURCE_UNAVAILABLE` records instead of silent empty runs

The default searches posted opportunities matching `artificial intelligence` and returns at most 5 paid rows:

Dates use `MM/DD/YYYY`. Funding, eligibility, and agency filters use Grants.gov codes. `maxResults` is a total response cap, not a per-page cap.

### Evidence boundaries

Records are agency-published opportunity metadata exposed by Grants.gov. They are **not** proof that a notice remains open, a particular applicant is eligible, appropriated funding remains available, an application will receive an award, or that this bounded search is complete. Dates, amounts, contacts, attachments, eligibility, and status can be amended, archived, delayed, corrected, or superseded. Always review the current linked notice and agency instructions before acting. This product does not provide legal or grant advice and is not endorsed by Grants.gov or a publishing agency.

Detail enrichment is best effort: when a detail request is transiently unavailable, the actor preserves the valid search record rather than discarding it. The official search/detail APIs are queried without credentials, with bounded retries for transient failures.
