## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Contract Award Winners (TED)

Find out who is winning EU public contracts. This Actor returns contract award notices from TED, the EU's official tenders journal: the winning companies, the buyer and its country, the contract value, CPV codes and lots. Each award links to its official notice.

### What you can do with it

- **Sales teams:** see which buyers in your market just awarded contracts, and to whom.
- **Competitor watch:** follow a company's EU public-sector wins by name or VAT number.
- **Market research:** count awards and values by CPV code and country.

### Input

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| CPV codes or prefixes | `72`, `48000000` | Up to 5. Any of them matches. |
| Buyer country | `DEU` | Three-letter code, as TED uses it. |
| Winner name | `Siemens` | Matches the start of the name. Case and accents are ignored. |
| Winner identifier | `DE123456789` | An official identifier from the notice. |
| Published since | `2026-10-01` | The last 7 days if empty. The feed keeps 45 days. |
| Maximum awards | `100` | Up to 1,000. |

### Output

One dataset item per award notice:

```json
{
  "publication_number": "718666-2026",
  "published": "2026-10-19",
  "title": "Supply of laboratory equipment",
  "winners": [{ "name": "Example GmbH", "country": "DEU" }],
  "buyer": { "names": ["City of Example"], "countries": ["DEU"] },
  "value": { "total": 125000, "currency": "EUR" },
  "cpv": ["38000000"],
  "source_url": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/-/detail/718666-2026",
  "proof": { "retrieved_at": "2026-10-21T06:00:00Z", "sha256": "…" }
}
```

### Where the data comes from

The official TED Search API of the Publications Office of the EU, read several times an hour by [Aurelmark](https://aurelmark.live/docs#awards). TED notices may be reused, including commercially. Each record keeps the time we read it and a SHA-256 hash of the official answer.

### Pricing

You pay per award returned, so a narrow filter costs little. The same data is available as an API and an MCP server at [aurelmark.live](https://aurelmark.live/docs#awards).
