## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper (No 2,000 Cap)

Scrape **every open job** from any company career site running on **Workday** (`*.myworkdayjobs.com`, `myworkdaysite.com`): NVIDIA, Salesforce, Adobe, Target, Walmart, banks, universities, state governments and thousands more.

Most Workday scrapers silently stop at **2,000 jobs**. That's a hard limit of Workday's API: it reports `total: 2000` and then returns empty pages. This Actor detects the cap and **automatically splits the search by facets** (site, location, job category...), then merges and deduplicates the results. In our test on NVIDIA's career site, Workday reported 2,000 and the Actor returned **2,676 unique jobs**, which matches the true count shown in Workday's own filters.

### Features

- Paste any career-site URL. Language prefixes (`/en-US/`), job-page URLs and API URLs all work.
- **No 2,000-job ceiling** (auto facet split, on by default).
- **Full job details**: plain-text description (optionally HTML), exact posting date, country and ISO code, time type, hiring entity, requisition ID and apply URL.
- **Filters**: keyword search (server-side), posted within N days, location text, max jobs per site.
- **Listing-only mode** for fast, cheap snapshots (title, location, relative date, URL).
- Retries with backoff on 429/5xx. A per-site `SUMMARY` explains totals, splits and any errors.
- Pure JSON API: no browser, no proxy, no login.

### Input example

```json
{
  "careerSiteUrls": [
    "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
    "https://okgov.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/okgovjobs"
  ],
  "searchText": "engineer",
  "postedWithinDays": 7,
  "locationContains": "",
  "includeDetails": true
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "title": "Interconnect Engineer",
  "company": "nvidia",
  "hiringOrganization": "DK01 Nvidia Denmark ApS",
  "location": "Denmark, Roskilde",
  "additionalLocations": [],
  "country": "Denmark",
  "countryCode": "DK",
  "postedOn": "Posted 5 Days Ago",
  "postedDate": "2026-09-29",
  "timeType": "Full time",
  "jobId": "JR2020852",
  "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/Denmark-Roskilde/Interconnect-Engineer_JR2020852",
  "descriptionText": "The NVIDIA Interconnect Design Team in Roskilde...",
  "canApply": true,
  "careerSite": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
  "tenant": "nvidia",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-04T10:42:12.192Z"
}
```

### Use cases

- Job boards and aggregators: keep enterprise listings fresh daily with `postedWithinDays: 1`.
- Recruiting and sales intelligence: hiring signals by company, team, country.
- Labour-market research: role, location and seniority trends across big employers.
- Personal job alerts: schedule a run with keywords and get new matches by email or Slack.

### Pricing

Pay per event:

- **$1.50 per 1,000 jobs with full details** ($0.0015 per job)
- **$0.50 per 1,000 jobs in listing-only mode** ($0.0005 per job, with details turned off)
- Plus Apify's tiny actor start fee ($0.00005). Failed sites cost nothing.

### Notes

- Workday shows posting dates as "Posted N Days Ago" in lists. With details on, you get the exact date (`postedDate`). "30+ Days Ago" items have no exact list date.
- Only public job postings are collected. No candidate or personal data is collected.
- How do I find a company's Workday URL? Open their careers page and click any job. If the address contains `myworkdayjobs.com`, paste it here.

# Actor input Schema

## `careerSiteUrls` (type: `array`):

One or more Workday career sites, e.g. https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite (any page of the site works, language prefixes like /en-US/ are fine). myworkdaysite.com/recruiting/... URLs are supported too.

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Optional keyword search, same as the search box on the career site (e.g. "data engineer").

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs posted in the last N days (0 = all). Workday only exposes day-level dates up to 30 days.

## `locationContains` (type: `string`):

Keep only jobs whose location/country contains this text (case-insensitive), e.g. "Germany" or "Remote".

## `maxJobsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs per career site (0 = all).

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch each job page for the full description, exact posting date, country, time type and apply URL. Turn off for a fast, cheaper listing-only run.

## `includeDescriptionHtml` (type: `boolean`):

Also output the original HTML description (plain text is always included when details are on).

## `bypassCap` (type: `boolean`):

Workday's API stops at 2,000 results per query. When a site hits the cap, the Actor automatically splits the query by facets (location, category...) and merges the results, so you get every job.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Job pages fetched in parallel per site. Lower it if a site rate-limits.
