## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### 🏠 Airbnb Listings Scraper: Airbnb Data, Prices and Ratings

Export **Airbnb listings** for any city, region or search link as clean JSON, CSV or Excel. The **Airbnb Listings Scraper** returns each listing's name, property type, nightly and total price, rating, review count, bedrooms, beds, baths, coordinates, photos and Superhost / Guest favorite badges. Use it as a simple **Airbnb API** for market analysis, price tracking or your own Airbnb dataset.

### 🎯 Use Cases

- **Airbnb market analysis**: count listings, property types, ratings and prices in a city or neighborhood before you invest or launch a short-term rental.
- **Airbnb price tracker**: schedule the same search daily or weekly and build your own nightly price history for exact stay dates.
- **Short-term rental data for analytics**: feed listing coordinates, prices and ratings into a map, BI dashboard or occupancy model.
- **Competitor analysis for hosts**: see how similar homes nearby are priced, rated and badged (Superhost, Guest favorite).
- **Lead and portfolio research**: find hotels and large hosts in an area for partnerships or property management sales.

### ✨ Features

- **Prices as numbers**: total for the stay, original price before discount, average nightly price, number of nights and currency.
- **Exact or flexible dates**: with check-in and check-out you get prices for that stay; without them Airbnb proposes dates per listing and each row says which.
- **Rooms and beds**: bedrooms, beds and bathrooms as numbers, plus the original text ("2 queen beds", "1.5 shared baths").
- **Ratings and badges**: average rating, review count, "New" listings, Superhost and Guest favorite flags.
- **Location**: latitude and longitude for every listing, plus the neighborhood Airbnb shows.
- **Goes past the 280-result limit**: one Airbnb search shows at most 280 listings. For bigger runs the scraper splits the search into nightly price ranges automatically and keeps going until it has what you asked for.
- **Keeps your filters**: paste a search link from your browser and its guests, price range, room type and amenities stay in place.
- **No duplicates**: a listing found by two searches or two price ranges is saved and charged once.

### 🛠️ How It Works

1. **Enter places** (for example "Lisbon, Portugal") **or paste Airbnb search links**, one per line.
2. **Optionally set check-in and check-out dates** and a currency, then choose how many listings you want per location (default 50).
3. **Run the scraper** and download the data, or pull it through the Apify API.

### ⚙️ Input

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Locations or search URLs** | Place names or Airbnb search links (`https://www.airbnb.com/s/...`). Links keep their filters. |
| **Check-in / Check-out** | Optional stay dates. Set both or neither. |
| **Currency** | Three-letter code for prices, e.g. `USD`, `EUR`, `GBP`. Default `USD`. |
| **Max listings per location** | How many listings to save per place or link. Default 50. |

```json
{
    "locations": [
        "Lisbon, Portugal",
        "https://www.airbnb.com/s/Rome--Italy/homes?adults=2&room_types%5B%5D=Entire%20home%2Fapt"
    ],
    "checkIn": "2027-03-05",
    "checkOut": "2027-03-08",
    "currency": "EUR",
    "maxItems": 500
}
```

### 💰 Pricing

Pay only for the listings you get. No monthly rental.

| Event | Price | What you get |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Listing** | $0.003 per listing ($3.00 per 1,000) | One listing with all fields below |
| **Actor start** | $0.00005 per run | Charged once when the run starts |

Examples: 50 listings = $0.15 · 1,000 listings = $3.00 · 5,000 listings = $15.00.

### 📊 Sample Output Data

```json
{
    "id": "1763872676168685223",
    "url": "https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1763872676168685223",
    "name": "FLH Janelas Verdes – Charming Apartment",
    "headline": "FLH Janelas Verdes – Charming Apartment",
    "propertyType": "Apartment",
    "area": "Estrela",
    "isHotel": false,
    "latitude": 38.7048,
    "longitude": -9.1641,
    "rating": null,
    "reviewsCount": 0,
    "isNew": true,
    "bedrooms": 2,
    "beds": 2,
    "bathrooms": 1,
    "bedInfo": ["2 bedrooms", "2 beds", "1 bath"],
    "hostType": null,
    "isGuestFavorite": false,
    "isSuperhost": false,
    "badges": [],
    "totalPrice": 417,
    "originalPrice": 471,
    "pricePerNight": 83.4,
    "nights": 5,
    "currency": "USD",
    "priceLabel": "$417 for 5 nights, originally $471",
    "checkIn": "2026-11-14",
    "checkOut": "2026-11-19",
    "photos": [
        "https://a0.muscache.com/im/pictures/hosting/Hosting-1763872676168685223/original/0e4c56ca-fe51-4cae-8fa2-e17cc11a0d9b.jpeg"
    ],
    "searchQuery": "Lisbon, Portugal",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-22T07:28:33.704Z"
}
```

`totalPrice` is what Airbnb shows for the whole stay (`nights` nights from `checkIn` to `checkOut`); `pricePerNight` is that total divided by the nights, so it includes any discount, and `originalPrice` is the struck-through price before the discount. `isNew` marks listings without enough reviews for a rating yet.

### 🔁 Schedule and Integrate

For an Airbnb price tracker, run the same search with the same dates **once a day or once a week**: every run is a dated snapshot of prices and availability in that market. Set it up in Apify **Schedules**, then send the results to **Google Sheets**, **Zapier**, **Make**, **n8n** or a webhook with Apify **integrations**.

### 🤖 Use with AI Agents (MCP)

This Actor works as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients through the Apify MCP server (`https://mcp.apify.com`). An agent can call it with:

```json
{ "locations": ["Barcelona"], "checkIn": "2027-03-05", "checkOut": "2027-03-08", "maxItems": 20 }
```

### ❓ FAQ

**Does Airbnb have an official API?** Airbnb's API is only open to approved software and property-management partners, and it covers their own listings. This Actor needs no key, account or approval and returns the public search data any guest sees: prices, ratings, rooms, location and photos.

**How many Airbnb listings can I get for a city?** As many as Airbnb lists there. One Airbnb search stops at 280 results, so the scraper splits bigger searches by nightly price and merges the slices without duplicates. In our tests a single "Lisbon, Portugal" input returned 14,016 unique listings, and 4,000 listings took about 3 minutes. When thousands of listings share almost the same price, a slice can still be capped; the status message says so, and adding filters (room type, guests) to your search link gets the rest.

**Why is a rating or price empty?** New listings have no rating yet (`isNew` is `true`). Hotels and some homes do not show bed or bath counts on the search card, and Airbnb hides prices when a home cannot be booked for the dates you chose.

**Do I need an Airbnb account or proxies?** No.

**Is this an alternative to an Airbnb dataset download?** Yes. Instead of a one-off snapshot, you get today's listings and prices for exactly the places and dates you choose, as often as you schedule it.

**Can I get full details, reviews or the availability calendar?** Yes, with the sibling Actors below: pass the `url` values from this Actor's output.

# Actor input Schema

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Place names (city, region, neighborhood) or Airbnb search links copied from your browser, one per line. Links keep their filters: dates, guests, price, room type, amenities.

## `checkIn` (type: `string`):

Optional stay start. With dates, prices are for exactly this stay. Without, Airbnb picks flexible dates per listing (shown in each row).

## `checkOut` (type: `string`):

Optional stay end (set it together with Check-in).

## `currency` (type: `string`):

Three-letter currency code for prices (USD, EUR, GBP, …).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many listings for each location. Big cities have thousands; one Airbnb search shows 280 at most, so larger runs split the search by price.
