## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### 🚀 Amazon Search Scraper: Products, Prices and Rankings by Keyword

The **Amazon Search Scraper** turns any Amazon keyword search into clean JSON, CSV or Excel: ASIN, title, price, list price, rating, review count, "bought in past month", badges and the position on the results page. It works on 21 Amazon marketplaces, from amazon.com to amazon.de, amazon.co.jp and amazon.in. Use it to scrape Amazon search results for product research, as an Amazon price tracker, or as a simple Amazon product search API.

### 🎯 Use Cases

- **Amazon price tracker**: run the same keyword every day and keep each run as a dated price snapshot for a whole product niche.
- **Amazon keyword research and rank tracking**: see which products rank for a keyword, on which page and position, and how that changes over time.
- **Amazon product research**: compare prices, ratings, review counts and monthly sales signals ("5K+ bought in past month") before you launch or source a product.
- **Competitor monitoring**: watch how rival brands price, discount and rank in your category across the US, UK, EU, Japan, India and more.
- **Catalog building**: collect ASINs for a category, then feed them to the [Amazon Product Details Scraper](https://apify.com/piotrv1001/amazon-product-details-scraper) or the [Amazon Reviews Scraper](https://apify.com/piotrv1001/amazon-reviews-scraper).

### ✨ Features

- **21 Amazon marketplaces**: amazon.com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .it, .es, .ca, .co.jp, .in, .com.au, .com.mx, .com.br, .nl, .se, .pl, .com.tr, .ae, .sa, .sg, .com.be and .eg.
- **Prices in the marketplace currency** as numbers (`price`, `listPrice`) plus the price text exactly as shown.
- **Ranking data**: `position` and `page` for every product, plus a `sponsored` flag when Amazon shows ads.
- **Sales and trust signals**: rating, exact review count, "bought in past month", badges (Best Seller, Amazon's Choice, Overall Pick), Prime, coupons and delivery text.
- **Sort and price filters**: featured, price low to high or high to low, average review, newest, best sellers, plus min and max price.
- **Paste Amazon search URLs**: category, brand and filter parameters in the URL are kept, and a `page=` in the URL is where the run starts.
- **No duplicates**: a product found by two keywords or on two pages is saved and billed once.
- **Honest limits**: Amazon shows at most about 20 pages for one search (about 300 products on amazon.com, .co.uk, .de and .in). When a search has more, the run says so and suggests narrowing it with a price range.

### 🛠️ How It Works

1. **Enter keywords** (one per line) or paste Amazon search result URLs, and pick the marketplace.
2. **Optionally set the sort and a price range**, and how many products you want per search (default 50).
3. **Run the scraper** and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the Apify API.

### ⚙️ Input

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Keywords or search URLs** | What to search for, one per line, or Amazon search URLs with their filters. |
| **Marketplace** | The Amazon site to search (default amazon.com). Pasted URLs use their own site. |
| **Sort by** | Featured, price low to high, price high to low, average customer review, newest arrivals or best sellers. |
| **Min price / Max price** | Optional price range in the marketplace currency. |
| **Max products per search** | How many products to save for each keyword or URL. Default 50. |

```json
{
    "keywords": ["wireless earbuds", "https://www.amazon.com/s?k=usb+c+cable&s=review-rank"],
    "marketplace": "amazon.com",
    "sort": "relevance",
    "maxPrice": 50,
    "maxItems": 100
}
```

### 💰 Pricing

Pay only for the products you get. No monthly rental.

| Event | Price | What you get |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Product** | $0.0015 per product ($1.50 per 1,000) | One search result with all fields below |
| **Actor start** | $0.00005 per run | Charged once when the run starts |

Examples: 50 products = $0.075 · 300 products (one full search) = $0.45 · 1,000 products = $1.50.

### 📊 Sample Output Data

```json
{
    "asin": "B0HDB173YV",
    "sponsored": false,
    "title": "Wireless Earbuds, Bluetooth 6.0 Headphones HiFi Stereo 50H Playback LED Digital Display Ear Buds with ENC Noise Canceling Headset, IPX7 Waterproof Earphones for Gym/Running/Work",
    "brand": null,
    "url": "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HDB173YV",
    "price": 18.97,
    "listPrice": 19.97,
    "currency": "USD",
    "priceText": "$18.97",
    "rating": 4.7,
    "reviewsCount": 293,
    "boughtPastMonth": "8K+ bought in past month",
    "badge": "Overall Pick",
    "delivery": "FREE delivery Mon, Nov 2 on $35 of items shipped by Amazon",
    "prime": false,
    "coupon": null,
    "image": "https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61lW-nQhWIL._AC_UY218_.jpg",
    "position": 1,
    "page": 1,
    "keyword": "wireless earbuds",
    "marketplace": "amazon.com",
    "searchUrl": "https://www.amazon.com/s?k=wireless+earbuds",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-26T12:50:18.366Z"
}
```

`listPrice` is the strike-through price Amazon shows next to a discount. `position` counts every product on the results pages in order, `page` is the results page it was on. `brand` is filled on marketplaces that show the brand as a separate line on the result card.

### 🔁 Schedule and Integrate

For price tracking and rank tracking, run it **once a day** with the same keywords: every run is a dated snapshot, and together they form your price and ranking history. Set it up in Apify **Schedules**. Send the results to **Google Sheets**, **Zapier**, **Make**, **n8n** or a webhook with Apify **integrations**, so new prices land where your team already works.

### 🤖 Use with AI Agents (MCP)

This Actor works as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients through the Apify MCP server (`https://mcp.apify.com`). An agent can call it with:

```json
{ "keywords": ["standing desk"], "marketplace": "amazon.com", "maxItems": 20 }
```

### ❓ FAQ

**Does Amazon have an official search API?** Amazon's Product Advertising API is for approved Amazon Associates and needs qualifying sales to keep access, and the Selling Partner API is for sellers. This Actor needs no key or account and returns what a shopper sees on the search page: prices, ratings, review counts, badges and rankings.

**How do I track Amazon prices for a keyword?** Schedule this Actor daily with the same keyword and marketplace and keep each run's dataset, or append the runs to a Google Sheet. Compare `price` by `asin` across runs.

**How many results can one search return?** Amazon itself stops a search after about 20 pages: about 300 products on amazon.com, .co.uk, .de and .in, and 7 to 10 pages of 48 on most other marketplaces. To go deeper, split the keyword by price range (Min and Max price) or use more specific keywords. The run's status message tells you when a search hit this limit.

**Do I need an Amazon account?** No.

**Why is `price` or `rating` empty for some products?** Some results have no buyable offer at the moment ("See options"), and new products have no ratings yet. Those fields are `null` then. Sponsored results appear only when Amazon shows ads for the search.

**Which currency are prices in?** The marketplace's own currency: USD on amazon.com, GBP on amazon.co.uk, EUR on amazon.de, JPY on amazon.co.jp and so on.
