## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### 🚀 App Store Reviews Scraper

Scrape **Apple App Store reviews** for any iPhone or iPad app. The **App Store Reviews Scraper** returns the star rating, review title and text, date, reviewer name, edited flag, and the developer's response with its date. Sort by newest, most helpful, most favorable or most critical, choose any App Store country, and collect thousands of reviews per app for many apps at once. No Apple ID needed. Use it for app review monitoring, sentiment analysis, competitor research, release feedback tracking or training datasets.

### ✨ Features

- ⭐ **Full Review Data**: Rating, title, text, date (ISO) and whether the review was edited.
- 💬 **Developer Responses**: Response text and date when the developer answered.
- 🔀 **Four Sort Orders**: Newest, most helpful, most favorable (5 stars first) or most critical (1 star first).
- 🌍 **Any Country**: Every App Store country has its own reviews; pick one or paste links from several countries.
- 📈 **Deep History**: Thousands of reviews per app and country, not just the first page.
- 📦 **Bulk**: Many apps per run, with a review limit per app.

### 🛠️ How It Works

1. **Add apps** – App Store links (`apps.apple.com/us/app/…/id324684580`) or numeric app IDs, one per line.
2. **Pick the country and sort** – or keep the defaults (US, newest). A link's own country is used for that link.
3. **Set the limit** – the default is 50 reviews per app.
4. **Run the Scraper** – download the reviews as JSON, CSV or Excel or pull them through the API.

### ⚙️ Input

| Field                   | What it does                                                                          |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Apps** | App Store app links or numeric app IDs, one per line. |
| **Country**             | Two-letter App Store country (`us` default, `gb`, `de`, `jp`…) for IDs and links without one. |
| **Sort by** | Newest (default), Most helpful, Most favorable or Most critical. |
| **Max reviews per app** | Stop after this many reviews for each app and country. Default 50. |

```json
{
    "apps": ["https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-music-and-podcasts/id324684580", "https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/tiktok/id835599320"],
    "country": "us",
    "sort": "newest",
    "maxItems": 1000
}
```

### 💰 Pricing

Pay only for the reviews you get. No monthly rental.

| Event           | Price                                       | What you get                        |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------- |
| **Review**      | $0.0002 per review ($0.20 per 1,000)        | One review with all fields below    |
| **Actor start** | $0.00005 per run | Charged once when the run starts. |

Examples: 1,000 reviews = $0.20 · 10,000 reviews = $2.00 · 100,000 reviews = $20.00. Apps that do not exist, or have no reviews in the chosen country, are listed in the run's status message and not charged.

### 📊 Sample Output Data

```json
{
    "id": "6057411142",
    "appId": "1477376905",
    "country": "us",
    "appUrl": "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id1477376905",
    "userName": "outoffase",
    "rating": 5,
    "title": "They fixed the commenting keyboard bug on iPad!",
    "text": "The bug was promptly fixed. Thanks for tracking these reviews likes hawk, y’all are doing great with the app and it runs way faster than the webapp!\n\nUpdated from 2 to 5 stars. …",
    "date": "2020-06-10T04:54:46Z",
    "isEdited": true,
    "replyText": "Thanks for the feedback, this was a frustrating bug! If you update to at least 1.2.0 this bug should be fixed.",
    "replyDate": "2020-06-09T15:53:33Z",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-20T06:11:22.100Z"
}
```

`replyText` and `replyDate` are `null` when the developer has not responded. `date` is the date of the latest version of the review, so an edited review can be newer than the response.

### ❓ FAQ

**How many reviews can I get per app?** Thousands per app and country. A test on a popular app returned 8,000 unique newest reviews for the US store. Set **Max reviews per app** to what you need.

**Why are the reviews different per country?** Each App Store country keeps its own reviews. Paste the app's link from each country (`apps.apple.com/gb/…`, `apps.apple.com/de/…`) to collect several at once; each app and country gets its own limit.

**Is the reviewer's app version or device included?** No. The App Store does not show them on public reviews.

**Do I need an Apple ID?** No. Only public reviews are collected.
