## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### 🚀 Google Play Reviews Scraper

Scrape **Google Play app reviews** for any Android app. The **Google Play Reviews Scraper** returns the star rating, review text, date, thumbs-up count, app version, reviewer name and avatar, and the developer's reply with its date. Sort by newest, most relevant or rating, keep only 1- to 5-star reviews, pick any language and country, and run many apps at once. No Google account needed. Use it for app review monitoring, sentiment analysis, competitor research, bug and feature-request mining, or training datasets.

### ✨ Features

- ⭐ **Full Review Data**: Rating, text, date (ISO), thumbs-up count and the app version the review was written on.
- 💬 **Developer Replies**: Reply text and reply date when the developer answered.
- 👤 **Reviewer**: Display name and avatar link.
- 🔀 **Sort & Filter**: Newest, most relevant or by rating; only reviews with a chosen star rating.
- 🌍 **Any Market**: Reviews in any language and Google Play country.
- 📦 **Bulk**: Many apps per run, with a review limit per app.
- 🔗 **Direct Links**: Each row links to the review on Google Play.

### 🛠️ How It Works

1. **Add apps** – Google Play links (`play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=…`) or package names such as `com.spotify.music`, one per line.
2. **Pick sort, star rating, language and country** – or keep the defaults (newest, any rating, English, US).
3. **Set the limit** – the default is 50 reviews per app.
4. **Run the Scraper** – download the reviews as JSON, CSV or Excel or pull them through the API.

### ❓ FAQ

**How many reviews can I get per app?** As many as Google Play shows for the chosen sort, language and country; popular apps have tens of thousands. Set **Max reviews per app** to what you need.

**Why do I get different reviews for another language or country?** Google Play shows reviews written in the selected language, so `de` returns German reviews.

**Do I need a Google account?** No. Only public reviews are collected.

**What about apps that are removed or do not exist?** They are named in the run's status message and not charged.
