## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### 🚀 Indeed Jobs Scraper

Scrape **Indeed job listings in 60+ countries**. The **Indeed Jobs Scraper** returns each job's title, company (with rating, logo, website and size), location with postal code and coordinates, salary range, job type, remote or hybrid setting, skills and benefits, the full description in text and HTML, the posting date, the Indeed link and the employer's own apply link. Filter by date posted, job type and remote/hybrid, and run many searches at once. Use it for job-market and salary research, recruiting and lead generation (companies that are hiring), job boards and alerts, or as training data.

### ✨ Features

- 🌍 **60+ Indeed countries**: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, India, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Singapore and many more.
- 🔍 **Many searches per run**: job titles, skills or company names, one per line.
- 📅 **Date posted filter**: last 24 hours, 3, 7 or 14 days.
- 🧑‍💼 **Job type and remote filters**: full-time, part-time, contract, temporary, internship, permanent; remote or hybrid.
- 💵 **Salary as numbers**: min, max, currency and period (hour, day, week, month, year) plus the text Indeed shows.
- 🏢 **Company details**: rating, review count, Indeed company page, logo, website, size and industry where Indeed has them.
- 📄 **Full descriptions**: plain text and HTML in every row, at no extra cost.
- 📈 **Deep results**: one Indeed search shows about 1,000 jobs at most. When you ask for more, the scraper splits the search by posting date automatically (for example 2,650 "software engineer" jobs in New York and 1,860 in London).
- ♻️ **No duplicates**: a job found by two of your searches is saved once.

### 🛠️ How It Works

1. **Enter search queries** and a **location** (city, state, region or postal code). Leave the location empty to search the whole country.
2. **Pick the country** and any filters, and set **Max jobs**: the default is 50.
3. **Run the Scraper**: download the jobs as JSON, CSV or Excel or pull them through the API.

### ⚙️ Input

| Field               | What it does                                                                                       |
| ------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Search queries** | Job titles, skills or company names, one per line. |
| **Location** | City, state, region or postal code as you would type it on Indeed. Empty = the whole country. |
| **Country**         | Which Indeed country site to search (`US`, `GB`, `DE`, `IN`, ...). Default `US`.                    |
| **Radius** | Distance around the location: miles in the US and UK, kilometres elsewhere. Default 25. |
| **Date posted**     | `any`, `1`, `3`, `7` or `14` days.                                                                 |
| **Job type**        | `any`, `fulltime`, `parttime`, `contract`, `temporary`, `internship` or `permanent`.               |
| **Remote / hybrid** | `any`, `remote` or `hybrid`. Remote searches the whole country (remote jobs have no city). |
| **Sort by**         | `date` (newest first) or `relevance`.                                                              |
| **Max jobs** | Total jobs to save across all searches. Default 50. |

```json
{
    "searchQueries": ["data analyst", "business analyst"],
    "location": "Chicago, IL",
    "country": "US",
    "radius": 25,
    "datePosted": "7",
    "jobType": "fulltime",
    "sort": "date",
    "maxItems": 500
}
```

Searching another country: set `"country": "DE"` and `"location": "Berlin"`. Indeed labels (skills, benefits, job types) come in the country's language; `jobTypes` and `workplace` are always in English.

### 💰 Pricing

Pay only for the jobs you get. No monthly rental.

| Event           | Price                               | What you get                                     |
| --------------- | ----------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| **Job** | $0.001 per job ($1.00 per 1,000) | One job listing with all the fields below |
| **Actor start** | $0.00005 per run | Charged once when the run starts. |

Examples: 50 jobs = $0.05 · 1,000 jobs = $1.00 · 10,000 jobs = $10.00.

`attributes` lists everything Indeed tags the job with: skills, education, benefits, schedule, job type and work setting. `applyUrl` is the employer's own page when the job links out; `easyApply` is `true` when you can apply on Indeed. `datePublished` is when the employer published the job, `dateOnIndeed` when it appeared on Indeed (the date filter uses this one).

### ❓ FAQ

**Do I need an Indeed account?** No.

**How many jobs can one search return?** As many as Indeed has for it. Indeed shows about 1,000 jobs per search, so for bigger numbers the scraper splits the search by posting date on its own. A broad search such as "nurse" across the US returns many thousands.

**Why does a job have no salary or company rating?** Only some employers publish a salary, and only companies with reviews on Indeed have a rating. Those fields are `null` then.

**Can I search remote jobs in a city?** Remote jobs on Indeed have no city, so the remote filter searches the whole country. Use `hybrid` for jobs that are partly in an office near your location.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Job titles, skills or company names to search, one per line. Each query is searched in the location below.

## `location` (type: `string`):

City, state, region or postal code, as you would type it on Indeed (e.g. "New York, NY", "London", "Berlin"). Leave empty to search the whole country.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Which Indeed country site to search. The location must be in this country.

## `radius` (type: `integer`):

Distance around the location: miles in the United States and United Kingdom, kilometres elsewhere. 0 = the location only.

## `datePosted` (type: `string`):

Only jobs added to Indeed within this period.

## `jobType` (type: `string`):

Only jobs of this type.

## `workplace` (type: `string`):

Only remote or hybrid jobs. Remote jobs are not tied to a place, so "Remote" searches the whole country and ignores the location.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Result order.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total across all search queries. Thousands per query are fetched automatically.
