## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### 🚀 Naukri Jobs Scraper: Job Postings, Salaries and Walk-ins

Export **Naukri.com job postings** as clean JSON, CSV or Excel. The **Naukri Jobs Scraper** turns a job keyword and a city, or any Naukri search URL, into structured job data: title, company with its AmbitionBox rating, locations, work mode, experience range, salary, skills, walk-in details and posting date. Use it as a practical Naukri API for job market research, salary benchmarking, recruiting and lead generation across India.

### 🎯 Use Cases

- **Naukri job data for market research**: count openings by skill, city, experience band and company to see where Indian hiring is moving.
- **Salary benchmarking in India**: collect the disclosed salary ranges for a role and city (in INR, as numbers) and compare them across companies.
- **Naukri job alerts**: schedule a daily run sorted by date and get only the newest postings for your keywords in a spreadsheet or Slack.
- **Walk-in jobs tracker**: list Naukri walk-in drives with their dates, timings and venue addresses.
- **Recruiting and B2B lead generation**: find the companies hiring for a skill right now, with their Naukri company page, AmbitionBox rating and company profile.
- **Remote and hybrid jobs in India**: filter by work mode and export every remote or hybrid opening for a role.

### ✨ Features

- **Complete job cards**: job ID, URL, title, company, company logo and Naukri company page, locations, work mode (office, hybrid or remote), experience range in years, salary label, skills, a description snippet, posting date and Naukri's "3 days ago" label.
- **Company ratings**: the AmbitionBox rating, review count and reviews link Naukri shows next to each company.
- **Salaries as numbers**: `salaryMin`, `salaryMax` and `salaryCurrency` when the employer discloses them, and `salaryHidden: true` (with empty amounts, never zeros) when not.
- **Walk-in details**: start and end date, daily timing and venue address for walk-in drives.
- **Full job details (optional)**: the complete description, highlights, role, role category, department, industry, employment type, required education, preferred and other key skills, applicant count, view count and the company profile.
- **Search or paste URLs**: type keywords with a location, or paste Naukri search URLs; they keep their filters (experience, freshness, work mode, salary, location, sort) and their page number.
- **Filters**: years of experience, posted within 1, 3, 7, 15 or 30 days, work mode and newest-first sorting.
- **Deep searches**: Naukri shows at most 15,000 results for one search (about 14,000 unique jobs once repeats are removed). When a search has more, the run says so and suggests filters to split it.
- **No duplicates**: a job found by two searches is saved and charged once.
- **Honest locations**: a location Naukri does not recognise is reported in the run status instead of silently returning jobs from all of India.

### 🛠️ How It Works

1. **Enter job keywords** such as `python developer` or `data analyst` and an optional city, or paste Naukri search URLs.
2. **Set Max jobs per search** (default 50) and turn on **Include full job details** if you need descriptions, industry and applicant counts.
3. **Run the scraper** and download the jobs as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull them through the Apify API.

### ⚙️ Input

| Field                                  | What it does                                                                                                                                  |
| -------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Job keywords or Naukri search URLs** | One search per line: a job title, skill or company, or a naukri.com search results URL. URLs keep their filters and page. |
| **Location**                           | City or state for the keyword searches, e.g. `Bengaluru`, `Mumbai`, `Delhi NCR`, `Pune`. Comma-separated places work. Empty = all of India.   |
| **Max jobs per search** | How many jobs to save per search. Default 50, up to 15,000. |
| **Include full job details** | Adds the full description, role, department, industry, employment type, education, key skills, applicant and view counts and company profile. |
| **Years of experience** | Only jobs whose experience range includes this many years. |
| **Posted within**                      | Only jobs posted in the last 1, 3, 7, 15 or 30 days.                                                                                          |
| **Work mode** | Work from office, hybrid and/or remote. |
| **Sort by** | Relevance (default) or date, newest first. |

```json
{
    "searches": [
        "python developer",
        "https://www.naukri.com/data-analyst-jobs-in-pune?k=data%20analyst&l=pune&experience=2"
    ],
    "location": "Bengaluru",
    "maxItems": 200,
    "includeDetails": true,
    "postedWithinDays": "7",
    "workModes": ["hybrid", "remote"]
}
```

The location applies to the keyword lines; pasted URLs use their own location.

### 💰 Pricing

Pay only for the jobs you get. No monthly rental.

| Event           | Price                             | What you get                                                                  |
| --------------- | --------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Job** | $0.0005 per job ($0.50 per 1,000) | One job from the search results with all the card fields below |
| **Job details** | $0.0015 per job ($1.50 per 1,000) | Charged on top of Job only when full details are on and the job page was read |
| **Actor start** | $0.00005 per run | Charged once when the run starts |

Examples:

- 50 jobs from search results: 50 × $0.0005 + $0.00005 = **$0.025**.
- 1,000 jobs with full details: 1,000 × ($0.0005 + $0.0015) + $0.00005 = **$2.00**.
- 15,000 jobs (a full search) without details: **$7.50**.

Jobs that close before their details are read are skipped and not charged. If the details of a job cannot be loaded, it is saved and charged as a plain job, with `detailsScraped: false`.

`salaryMin` and `salaryMax` are yearly amounts in `salaryCurrency` (INR for most jobs). `postedAt` is the exact posting time in UTC; `postedLabel` is the label Naukri shows. `search` echoes the input line that found the job. Fields from `description` onwards appear only with full details on.

### 📅 Schedule and Integrate

For job alerts and hiring trends, run it once a day with **Sort by: Date** and **Posted within: Last 1 day**: each run then returns only the newest postings. Set this up with Apify **Schedules**, and send the results to Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make, n8n or your own webhook through Apify integrations.

### 🤖 Use with AI Agents (MCP)

The Naukri Jobs Scraper works as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients through the Apify MCP server (`https://mcp.apify.com`). An agent can call it with:

```json
{ "searches": ["react developer"], "location": "Pune", "maxItems": 20 }
```

### ❓ FAQ

**Does Naukri have an official API?** Naukri offers integrations for employers and recruiters to post jobs and manage their own applicants, but there is no public API for searching Naukri job postings. This scraper is the practical alternative: no API key, no approval and no login, and it returns the fields you see on the site, including AmbitionBox ratings, walk-in details and the full job page.

**Do I need a Naukri account?** No. The scraper reads public job postings only. It does not log in and does not collect recruiter names, emails or phone numbers.

**Why is the salary empty for many jobs?** Many employers on Naukri hide the salary. Those jobs have `salaryHidden: true` and empty amounts, with Naukri's own label (for example "Not disclosed") in `salaryLabel`.

**How many jobs can I get per search?** Naukri shows at most 15,000 results for one search, which is about 14,000 unique jobs because some jobs repeat across pages (they are saved and charged once). If a search has more, the run status says so; add a location, experience or "Posted within" filter, or split the keyword, to get the rest.

**Which URLs can I paste?** Naukri search result pages such as `https://www.naukri.com/python-developer-jobs-in-bangalore?k=python%20developer&l=bangalore` or `https://www.naukri.com/jobs-in-pune`, with any filters you set on the site. Single job pages and company pages are skipped and reported in the run status.

**How do I get Naukri job alerts for new postings?** Schedule a daily run with **Sort by: Date** and **Posted within: Last 1 day**, and connect the dataset to Google Sheets, Slack or email.

**Why was my location rejected?** Naukri ignores places it does not know and searches all of India instead. The scraper detects this and skips the search rather than returning the wrong jobs. Use a city or state as written on Naukri, e.g. `Bengaluru`, `Delhi NCR`, `Hyderabad`.

# Actor input Schema

## `searches` (type: `array`):

One search per line: a job title, skill or company (e.g. `python developer`, `data analyst`, `accountant`), or a naukri.com search results URL such as `https://www.naukri.com/data-analyst-jobs-in-pune?k=data%20analyst&l=pune&experience=2`. Pasted URLs keep their filters (location, experience, freshness, work mode, salary, sort) and page number.

## `location` (type: `string`):

City or state for the keyword searches, e.g. `Bengaluru`, `Mumbai`, `Delhi NCR`, `Pune`, `Hyderabad`. Several places separated by commas work too. Leave empty to search all of India. A location Naukri does not recognise is reported instead of silently searching everywhere.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop each search after this many jobs. Naukri shows at most 15,000 jobs per search; add filters to go further. Your maximum charge per run also caps the run.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open every job and add the full description, highlights, role, department, industry, employment type, education, key skills, applicant and view counts and the company profile. Charged as an extra job-details event per job.

## `experience` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs whose experience range includes this many years.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `string`):

Only jobs posted recently.

## `workModes` (type: `array`):

Only jobs with these work modes. Leave empty for all.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Most relevant first, or newest first.
