## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

### 🚀 Meta Threads Scraper — Profile Posts, Replies & Keyword Search (No Login)

Extract Threads data without an account. The **Meta Threads Scraper** turns any public profile, keyword search or post into clean JSON, CSV or Excel — post text, likes, reply/repost/quote counts, views, images and videos, link previews, quoted posts, authors and timestamps.

### ✨ Features

- 👤 **Profile posts**: every post of a public profile, newest first, all the way back to the account's first post — plus the profile itself (bio, links, follower count, verification).
- 💬 **Replies**: a profile's replies to other people, each with the post it answers.
- 🔍 **Keyword search**: the top posts Threads shows for any keyword, combining the default and the recent result sets.
- 🧵 **Post threads**: any post with its view count and its top replies.
- 🖼️ **Media**: direct image and video URLs, carousels included.
- 🔗 **Context**: link previews, quoted and reposted posts, pinned and edited flags, paid-partnership labels.
- 📅 **Incremental runs**: a `postedAfter` date so scheduled runs only fetch what is new.
- ⚡ **No browser, no login**: hundreds of posts per minute; runs finish in seconds, not minutes.

### 🛠️ How It Works

1. **Add usernames** – handles (`zuck`, `@nba`) or profile URLs. Tick **Include replies** to also collect what the account replies to others.
2. **Optionally add search queries or post URLs** – keywords to search, or `https://www.threads.com/@zuck/post/…` links for a post and its replies.
3. **Set limits** – `maxPosts` per profile / query / post URL and, for scheduled runs, `postedAfter`.
4. **Run the scraper** – results land in the dataset, ready to download or fetch via API, webhook or scheduled run.

### 💵 Pricing

Pay only for what you extract — no fee per run:

| Event   | Price              |
| ------- | ------------------ |
| Post    | $0.0035 per post   |
| Profile | $0.005 per profile |

Replies, search results and post-thread replies are all posts. 1,000 posts cost $3.50; monitoring 20 profiles at 50 posts each costs about $3.60 per run. There is no start fee, so small scheduled runs stay cheap.

    "source": "https://www.threads.com/@mosseri"
}
```
Every item carries `source` — the profile, query or post URL it came from — so multi-target runs stay easy to split. A post opened via **Post URLs** also has `views`.
### ℹ️ Good to know
- Profile posts and replies have **no depth limit** — set `maxPosts` high to get an account's full history.
- Threads shows only its **top ~20–30 posts per keyword** and the **top ~20 replies per post** to visitors without an account; the scraper returns exactly what a visitor sees. Use several keywords or a `postedAfter` schedule to cover more.
- Private profiles return the profile item only. Media URLs are served by Threads' CDN and expire after a few days — download what you need.
# Actor input Schema
## `usernames` (type: `array`):
Threads profiles to scrape, one per line — a handle (zuck, @nba) or a profile URL (https://www.threads.com/@zuck). Returns the profile plus its posts, newest first.
## `includeReplies` (type: `boolean`):
Also collect each profile's replies to other people's posts (the Replies tab), up to Max posts per profile.
## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):
Keywords to search on Threads, one per line. Threads shows only the top ~30 posts per keyword without an account.
## `postUrls` (type: `array`):
Threads post URLs (https://www.threads.com/@zuck/post/Db2wI-DilLt), one per line. Returns the post with its view count and its top replies.
## `maxPosts` (type: `integer`):
Maximum number of posts to collect per profile, search query or post URL.
## `postedAfter` (type: `string`):
Skip posts older than this date (YYYY-MM-DD). Handy for scheduled runs that only need what is new since the last one.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
The default works; residential proxies are not needed.
## Actor input object example
```json
{
  "usernames": [
    "zuck"
  ],
  "includeReplies": false,
  "searchQueries": [],
  "postUrls": [],
  "maxPosts": 50,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
