## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### 🚀 Trustpilot Reviews Scraper: Get Trustpilot Reviews for Any Company

Get Trustpilot reviews as clean JSON, CSV or Excel. The **Trustpilot Reviews Scraper** saves each review's star rating, title, full text, publish and experience dates, language, reviewer name and country, verified flag, likes and the company's reply. Use it to scrape Trustpilot reviews for brand monitoring, competitor research and sentiment analysis, or as a simple alternative to a Trustpilot API.

### 🎯 Use Cases

- **Get Trustpilot reviews in bulk**: paste one or many company pages and export every review the site shows, with no copy-paste.
- **Trustpilot negative reviews**: pull only 1- and 2-star reviews to find what customers complain about most.
- **Competitor analysis**: compare ratings, complaint topics and reply habits across rival companies in one run.
- **Trustpilot sentiment analysis**: feed review text, rating and language into your sentiment model, LLM or BI tool.
- **Review monitoring**: schedule a daily run limited to the last 30 days to catch new reviews and unanswered complaints.
- **Lead research**: see which companies collect reviews and how often they reply before you pitch them.

### ✨ Features

- **Full review text**: title, body, star rating, language and a link to each review.
- **Dates**: when the review was published, when the experience happened and when it was last updated.
- **Reviewer details**: name, profile link, country, total review count and photo when present.
- **Company replies**: the reply text and its date, so you can measure response rates.
- **Verified flag**: whether Trustpilot verified the review and how it was collected (organic or invited).
- **Filters**: star ratings, language, date range and sort order, or paste a filtered Trustpilot link and its filters are kept.
- **Past the 200-review limit**: Trustpilot shows visitors who are not logged in 200 reviews per filter. When you ask for more, the scraper combines star, topic and language filters to collect more reviews: about 6,700 for amazon.com in one test.
- **No duplicates**: a review found by two filters or two input links is saved and billed once.

### 🛠️ How It Works

1. **Add companies**: Trustpilot company links like `https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.amazon.com` or plain website domains like `booking.com`.
2. **Set Max reviews per company** and, if you want, star, language and date filters.
3. **Run the scraper** and download the reviews, or pull them through the Apify API.

### ⚙️ Input

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Companies** | Trustpilot company links or website domains, one per line. Filters in a pasted link (`stars`, `languages`, `date`, `sort`, `page`) apply to that company. |
| **Max reviews per company** | How many reviews to save for each company. Default 100. |
| **Star ratings** | Only these ratings (1–5). Empty = all ratings. |
| **Review language** | Two-letter code (`en`, `de`, `fr`…) or `all`. Default `all`. |
| **Published within** | Any time, last 30 days, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. |
| **Sort by** | Most recent (default) or most relevant. |

```json
{
    "companies": [
        "https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.amazon.com",
        "booking.com"
    ],
    "maxItems": 500,
    "stars": ["1", "2"],
    "language": "en",
    "dateRange": "last12months"
}
```

### 💰 Pricing

Pay only for the reviews you get. No monthly rental.

| Event | Price | What you get |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Review** | $0.0005 per review ($0.50 per 1,000) | One review with all fields below |
| **Actor start** | $0.00005 per run | Charged once when the run starts |

Examples: 100 reviews = $0.05 · 1,000 reviews = $0.50 · 5,000 reviews = $2.50 (plus $0.00005 per run).

### 📊 Sample Output Data

    "rating": 2,
    "title": "BOOKING.COM HAVE BECOME FAR TOO …",
    "text": "BOOKING.COM HAVE BECOME FAR TOO CORPORATE THEY ARE ALMOST DINOSAURS WHEN IT COMES TO DEALING WITH COMPLAINTS THERE AUTOMATIC REPLY SERVICE IS NOW STATING 4 \nDAYS TO RESPOND TO EMAILS THEY ARE NOT A GOOD COMPANY ANYMORE THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO COUNT",
    "language": "en",

    "experiencedAt": null,
    "updatedAt": null,
    "isVerified": false,
    "verificationLevel": null,
    "source": "Organic",
    "likes": 0,
    "reviewerName": "Garry R.",

    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-22T07:47:40.000Z"
}
```
`experiencedAt` is the date the reviewer says the experience happened; `publishedAt` is when the review went live. `source` tells you whether the review was written on the reviewer's own initiative (`Organic`) or after an invitation from the company. `replyText` and `replyDate` are `null` when the company has not replied. Older reviews have no `experiencedAt` and no verification level.
### 🔁 Schedule and Integrate
For review monitoring, run it **once a day** with **Published within** set to "Last 30 days": new reviews show up in every run, and the review `id` lets you keep only the ones you have not seen. Set it up in Apify **Schedules**. Send the results to **Google Sheets**, **Zapier**, **Make**, **n8n** or a webhook with Apify **integrations**, so new complaints reach your support team the same day.
### 🤖 Use with AI Agents (MCP)
This Actor works as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients through the Apify MCP server (`https://mcp.apify.com`). An agent can call it with:
```json
{ "companies": ["booking.com"], "maxItems": 50, "stars": ["1"] }
```
### ❓ FAQ
**Does Trustpilot have an official API?** Trustpilot offers APIs to business customers. They need an account, an API key and approval, and mostly cover your own company's reviews. This Actor needs no key or account and gets the public Trustpilot reviews of any company, with reviewer country, verified flag and company reply in every row.
**How do I scrape Trustpilot reviews?** Paste the company's Trustpilot link or website domain into **Companies**, choose how many reviews you want and run. You can download the reviews as CSV, Excel or JSON, or read them through the API.
**How many reviews can I get per company?** Trustpilot shows visitors who are not logged in 200 reviews per filter. For bigger requests the scraper combines star, topic and language filters. Small and mid-sized companies are usually covered in full. Very large ones stop at a few thousand: for example about 6,700 of amazon.com's 46,900 reviews. The run's status message tells you how many reviews were reachable when it falls short.
**How do I export Trustpilot reviews to Excel or CSV?** Run the Actor, open the **Output** tab and download as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML, or connect Google Sheets in **Integrations**.
**Do I need a Trustpilot account?** No.
**Why is a field empty?** `replyText` is `null` when the company has not replied, `reviewerImageUrl` when the reviewer has no photo, and `updatedAt` when the review was never edited.
**Are reviews from uk.trustpilot.com or de.trustpilot.com different?** No. Every Trustpilot site shows the same company reviews. Use **Review language** to get reviews in one language.
# Actor input Schema
## `companies` (type: `array`):
Trustpilot company pages (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.amazon.com) or website domains (amazon.com), one per line. Filters in a pasted page link (stars, language, date, page) are kept for that company.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Stop after this many reviews for each company. Trustpilot shows 200 reviews per filter to visitors who are not logged in; above that the scraper combines star, topic and language filters to collect more (often a few thousand for big companies).
## `stars` (type: `array`):
Only reviews with these star ratings. Leave empty for all ratings.
## `language` (type: `string`):
Two-letter language code such as en, de, fr, es or it, or "all" for every language.
## `dateRange` (type: `string`):
Only reviews published in this period.
## `sort` (type: `string`):
Order of the first 200 reviews. Deeper runs add reviews from extra filters, so the full dataset is not strictly in this order; sort the export by publishedAt if you need it.
