## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### 🌴 Welcome to the Jungle Jobs Scraper

**Welcome to the Jungle Jobs Scraper** extracts job postings from **[Welcome to the Jungle](https://www.welcometothejungle.com/)** (WTTJ), the leading tech and startup job board in France, with jobs across Europe and the US. No login and no API key needed. Search with keywords and filters (country, city, company, contract, remote, sector, job category, experience, salary, company size, posting date) or paste a WTTJ search or company URL. You get clean JSON with **title, company, salary range, contract type, remote policy, offices with GPS, sectors, job category, summary, key missions and publish date**. Turn on details to add the **full description, apply link, skills, tools and street address**.

Run it on the **[Apify platform](https://apify.com/)** to get scheduling, an API, webhooks and exports to Google Sheets, Excel or CSV.

### ✨ Features

- 🔍 **Keywords and 12 filters.** Country, city, company, contract type, remote work, company sector, job category, years of experience, minimum yearly salary, company size, job post language and posted within N days.
- 🏢 **All jobs of a company.** Type company names or paste company page URLs to get every open job of those employers.
- 📦 **No 1,000-result cap.** WTTJ shows at most 1,000 results per search. The Actor splits large searches automatically, so you can collect a whole country or all ~90,000 jobs. Each job appears once, even when searches overlap.
- 💶 **Salary data.** Minimum and maximum salary, currency, period and the yearly equivalent when the employer publishes one.
- 📝 **Full details (optional).** Full description (text and HTML), candidate profile, recruitment process, apply URL on the employer's ATS, skills, tools and the office street address with ZIP code.
- 🌍 **5 label languages.** Sector, category and skill names and job links in English, French, Spanish, Czech or Slovak.

### 💡 Use cases

- **Job market research.** Track hiring volume by sector, city, contract type or remote policy across France and Europe.
- **Salary benchmarks.** Collect published salary ranges for a role or a city.
- **Sales prospecting.** Find companies hiring for a given role (a buying signal) with their size and sector.
- **Job aggregators and alerts.** Feed new WTTJ jobs into your own job board, Slack channel or spreadsheet every day.
- **Competitor hiring.** Follow every job a list of companies posts.

### 🛠️ How to use

1. **Type keywords** (for example `data engineer`) and pick filters, or paste a WTTJ search or company URL.
2. **Set Max jobs.** The default is 50. Use 0 for every match.
3. **(Optional) Turn on Include full details** for the description, apply link, skills and tools.
4. **Run** the Actor, then export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the API.

With empty input the Actor returns the 50 newest jobs on the site.

### 💰 How much does it cost to scrape Welcome to the Jungle?

The Actor uses pay-per-event pricing, so you pay only for the jobs you get:

| Event | Price | When it's charged |
| ----------- | ------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| Actor start | **$0.00005** | Once per run |
| Job | **$0.001** ($1 per 1,000) | For every saved job |
| Job details | **$0.001** ($1 per 1,000) | On top of the job price, for each job saved with details |

For example, 1,000 jobs cost about **$1.00**, or **$2.00** with full descriptions, apply links and skills. Set a maximum cost per run in Apify, and the Actor stops when it reaches that cost.

### ⚙️ Tips

- **Daily feed:** schedule a run with `postedWithinDays: 1` and your filters to collect only new jobs.
- **Exact phrases:** WTTJ matches keywords loosely (`data engineer` also finds DevOps roles that mention data). Use quotes, `"data engineer"`, for exact matches, or combine keywords with a job category.
- **Large runs:** beyond the 1,000 most relevant matches, the remaining jobs are collected by publication date.
- **Skip details when you don't need them.** Job rows already include salary, contract, location, summary and key missions.

### ❓ FAQ

**Is it legal to scrape Welcome to the Jungle?**
The Actor collects only publicly visible job postings. You are responsible for using the data lawfully and for respecting the site's terms.

**Do I need a proxy or a WTTJ account?**
No. No login, cookies or proxy are needed.

**Is there a result limit?**
No. The Actor works around the 1,000-result limit per search. `maxItems` and your maximum cost per run are the only limits.

**Why does a job have no details?**
The job was taken offline between the search and the detail visit. It is saved with the search data only and the details event is not charged.
