## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Career Site Jobs Scraper

Get every open job straight from a company's own career site. Paste the job page of the companies you care about and get one clean list of jobs, whether the company uses Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Recruitee, Personio, Teamtailor or BambooHR. Use it for recruiting and sourcing, sales prospecting (a company that hires is a company that buys), competitor tracking, salary research, job boards and labour market research.

- **10 applicant tracking systems in one Actor.** Mix Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and the others in one run. The Actor recognises the system from the URL.
- **One format for all of them.** Title, department, location, country, remote or hybrid, employment type, salary range, posting date, apply link and description always have the same field names.
- **Fresh data from the source.** Jobs come from the official public job board of each company, the same place the company's careers page reads them from. No aggregator delay, no expired reposts.
- **Big employers work too.** Workday career sites show at most 2,000 jobs per search. The Actor splits large boards into smaller groups so you get all of them (tested with 2,683 NVIDIA jobs).
- **No login and no proxy needed.**
- **Low price.** $1.00 per 1,000 jobs.

### What data can you get?

One result is one job posting.

#### Which fields does each system fill?

| System | Department | Country | Remote / hybrid | Salary | Posting date |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse | yes | from location text | sometimes | when published | yes |
| Lever | yes | yes | yes | when published | yes |
| Ashby | yes | yes | when set | when published | yes |
| Workday | no | yes | when set | no | yes (exact date with descriptions on, approximate without) |
| SmartRecruiters | yes | yes | yes | no | yes |
| Workable | yes | yes | remote only | no | yes |
| Recruitee | yes | yes | yes | when published | yes |
| Personio | yes | from location text | no | when published | yes |
| Teamtailor | yes | yes | yes | no | yes |
| BambooHR | yes | yes | yes | as text, when published | with descriptions on |

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. In **Career pages**, paste one job page URL per company (see the next section for how to find it).
3. Optional: add filters such as job title keywords, locations, remote only or posted within the last N days.
4. Click **Start**, then download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.

#### How do I find a company's career page URL?

Open the company's careers page and click through to the list of open jobs (or open any single job). Look at the address bar:

| If the URL looks like | System | Paste |
|---|---|---|
| `boards.greenhouse.io/stripe` or `job-boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb` | Greenhouse | that URL |
| `jobs.lever.co/spotify` | Lever | that URL |
| `jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai` | Ashby | that URL |
| `nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite` | Workday | that URL, including the part after the domain |
| `careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup` or `jobs.smartrecruiters.com/...` | SmartRecruiters | that URL |
| `apply.workable.com/huggingface` | Workable | that URL |
| `bunq.recruitee.com` | Recruitee | that URL |
| `tado.jobs.personio.de` | Personio | that URL |
| `oatly.teamtailor.com` or a careers site with "Powered by Teamtailor" | Teamtailor | that URL |
| `company.bamboohr.com/careers` | BambooHR | that URL |

A link to a single job works too: the Actor then scrapes the whole job board of that company. You can also paste the company's own careers page, like `https://www.figma.com/careers/`. The Actor opens it and looks for a link to one of the supported job boards. This works when the page links to or embeds the board, which is common but not universal.

Short ids are accepted as well: `greenhouse:stripe`, `lever:spotify`, `ashby:openai`, `smartrecruiters:BoschGroup`, `workable:huggingface`, `recruitee:bunq`, `personio:tado`, `teamtailor:oatly`, `bamboohr:bitly`.

}
```
Fields that a job board does not provide are `null`, so every record has the same columns.
### How much does it cost?
You pay per saved job: **$1.00 per 1,000 jobs**. There is no start fee and no monthly rental. Filters run before jobs are saved, so you only pay for jobs that match.
| Run | Jobs | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 10 newest jobs at 4 companies | 40 | $0.04 |
| All jobs at a mid-size company | 300 | $0.30 |
| All 2,683 NVIDIA jobs | 2,683 | $2.68 |
Set a maximum charge per run in the run options and the Actor stops when it is reached.
### Limits you should know
- **You choose the companies.** This Actor reads the job boards you give it. It does not search all companies on the internet. To track a market, build a list of company job pages once and run it on a schedule.
- **Big boards take minutes, not seconds.** Small and mid-size boards finish in a few seconds. In our tests all 2,683 NVIDIA jobs on Workday took about 3 minutes without descriptions and about 11 minutes with descriptions, and a Lever board with 4,100 jobs took about 5 minutes, because these job boards answer slowly for large lists. Workday needs one extra request per job for the description, the exact posting date, the country and the workplace type, so turn off **Include job description** when you only need the list. Without descriptions, Workday jobs have only an approximate posting date ("posted 3 days ago"). SmartRecruiters and BambooHR also need one extra request per job for descriptions.
- **Do not run many copies against the same Workday site at once.** Workday slows down when it gets many requests from parallel runs. One run per company is fastest.
- **Workday boards over 2,000 jobs.** Workday shows at most 2,000 jobs per search. The Actor splits the list by job category or location to get the rest. A job that has no category at all can be missed in that case.
- **Company name.** Lever, BambooHR and Workday do not publish a clean company name, so it is built from the URL (for example "Nvidia" from `nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com`). Personio shows the legal entity (for example "tado GmbH").
- **Country and remote flag are sometimes worked out from text.** When a job board gives only a location like "San Francisco, CA" or "Remote - Germany", the country and remote flag are derived from that text. This is right in most cases but not always, for example "Remote - EMEA" has no single country and stays empty.
- **Salary only when published.** Many companies do not publish pay. Greenhouse pay ranges do not say per year or per hour, so ranges below 500 are marked as hourly and the rest as yearly.
- **Posted within (days) skips jobs without a date.** BambooHR dates need descriptions turned on; the Actor loads them automatically when you use this filter.
- **Careers page detection is best effort.** It works when the company's page links to or embeds a supported job board in its HTML (Figma, Notion, Linear and Cursor worked in our tests). Pages that load jobs only with JavaScript, or that block automated visits, are not detected. Paste the job board URL in that case.
- **SmartRecruiters company ids.** SmartRecruiters returns an empty list instead of an error for a company id that does not exist, so a typo looks like "no open jobs". Check the id in the URL of the company's SmartRecruiters page.
- **Other systems.** iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors, Jobvite and custom-built career sites are not supported.
### Tips
- **Run it on a schedule.** Run the same list every day and compare `jobId` values to see new and closed jobs. A company that suddenly posts many sales jobs is often a good sales lead.
- **Keep datasets small.** Use **Max description length** to cut descriptions, or turn descriptions off when you only need titles and locations.
- **Newest first.** Where the job board shows dates, the newest jobs come first, so **Max jobs per company** gives you the latest openings.
### FAQ
**Is it legal?** The Actor reads only public job postings that companies publish on their career sites for anyone to see, through the public job board feeds those sites provide. It does not log in or get past any protection. Job descriptions can mention recruiter names. Make sure you have a legitimate reason to process personal data, as required by the GDPR and similar laws.
**Do I need an account with Greenhouse, Workday or the others?** No.
**Can it apply to jobs?** No. It only collects job postings.
**My company's job board is not supported.** Open a ticket in the Issues tab with the URL and we will look at it.
**Something is broken or missing?** Open a ticket in the Issues tab. Issues are usually answered within a day.
# Actor input Schema
## `careerPages` (type: `array`):
One company per line. Paste the URL of the company's job list, for example https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe, https://jobs.lever.co/spotify, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai or https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite. You can also paste the company's own careers page (like https://www.example.com/careers) and the Actor looks for the job board it links to. Short ids like greenhouse:stripe or lever:spotify work too. Supported: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Recruitee, Personio, Teamtailor and BambooHR.
## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):
Stop after this many matching jobs from each company. Leave empty to get every matching job. The newest jobs come first where the job board shows dates.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Maximum number of jobs to save in total, across all companies.
## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):
Keep only jobs whose title contains one of these words or phrases, for example "engineer", "product manager" or "sales". Not case sensitive. Leave empty to keep all jobs.
## `excludeTitleKeywords` (type: `array`):
Skip jobs whose title contains one of these words, for example "intern" or "senior".
## `locations` (type: `array`):
Keep only jobs whose location or country contains one of these, for example "London", "Germany", "New York" or "US".
## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):
Keep only jobs marked as remote (by the job board, or by the word "remote" in the location or title). Hybrid jobs are not included.
## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):
Keep only jobs posted in the last N days. Jobs without a posting date are skipped when this is set.
## `departments` (type: `array`):
Keep only jobs whose department or team contains one of these, for example "Engineering", "Marketing" or "Sales".
## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):
Add the full job description as plain text. On Workday, SmartRecruiters and BambooHR this needs one extra request per job, so turning it off makes big runs much faster.
## `includeDescriptionHtml` (type: `boolean`):
Add the original HTML of the description next to the plain text, with headings, lists and links.
## `descriptionMaxLength` (type: `integer`):
Cut the plain text description after this many characters to keep the dataset small. Leave empty for the full text.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Not needed. The job boards are public. Only use it if a company's careers page refuses your requests.
