## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Jobs API: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters and Recruitee

Get every open job from a company's career page in one clean table. Give the actor a list of companies and it returns each open role with title, department, location, remote flag, salary range when the company publishes one, posted date, job link, apply link and the full description as plain text.

It reads the public job board APIs that Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters and Recruitee provide so companies can show their jobs anywhere. No login, no cookies, no proxies, no browser. That is why it is fast, cheap and does not break when a careers page is redesigned.

### Who uses it

- **Recruiters and staffing agencies** watching target companies for new roles.
- **Job boards and newsletters** that list jobs from specific companies or niches.
- **Sales teams** looking for hiring signals, for example every company hiring a Head of Data this month.
- **Analysts and investors** tracking headcount plans by department and city.
- **AI agents** that need a structured list of openings for a company.

### What you can put in

One company per line, in any of these forms:

| You write | What it means |
|---|---|
| `https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb` | Greenhouse board (also `job-boards.greenhouse.io` and embed links) |
| `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify` | Lever board (EU boards on `jobs.eu.lever.co` work too) |
| `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp` | Ashby board |
| `https://apply.workable.com/blueground` | Workable board |
| `https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup` | SmartRecruiters board |
| `https://bunq.recruitee.com` | Recruitee board |
| `lever:spotify` | System and slug, when you know them |
| `ramp` | Just the slug: the actor tries each system in turn and uses the first that has the company |

Optional filters: title keywords, excluded title keywords, location keywords, department keywords, remote only, and posted within the last N days. You can turn the description off for a lighter output.

#### Example input

```json
{
    "companies": ["https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb", "lever:spotify", "ashby:ramp"],
    "titleKeywords": ["engineer", "data"],
    "locationKeywords": ["United States", "Remote"],
    "postedWithinDays": 30,
    "includeDescription": true,
    "maxJobsPerCompany": 200
}
```

### What you get

One row per job, the same fields for every system:

```json
{
    "source": "ashby",
    "companySlug": "ramp",
    "company": "Ramp",
    "jobId": "34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
    "location": "New York, NY (HQ)",
    "locations": ["New York, NY (HQ)", "Remote (Canada)", "Remote (US)", "Miami, FL"],
    "country": "USA",
    "isRemote": true,
    "workplaceType": "Hybrid",
    "employmentType": "FullTime",
    "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35.753Z",
    "salaryMin": 211400,
    "salaryMax": 290600,
    "salaryCurrency": "USD",
    "salaryInterval": "1 YEAR",
    "salaryText": "$211.4K - $290.6K",
    "jobUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
    "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245/application",
    "descriptionText": "ABOUT RAMP\n\nRamp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams...",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-09-27T06:06:47.296Z"
}
```

A `RUN_SUMMARY` record in the key value store lists every company you asked for, which system it was found on, how many jobs were open and how many were saved, so you can spot a wrong slug at a glance.

Download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read them through the Apify API, webhooks, Make, Zapier or the Apify MCP server.

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription and no platform usage charges on top:

- **$1.00 per 1,000 jobs** saved ($0.001 per job).
- Companies that are not found, and filtered out jobs, cost nothing.

A company with 150 open roles costs about 15 cents. Filter by title or location to pay only for the jobs you need.

### Limits

- Only companies that use one of the six supported systems. Workday, iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors and custom career sites are not covered.
- Salary appears only when the company publishes it: Ashby and Greenhouse (pay transparency ranges) often do, Lever and Recruitee sometimes do, Workable and SmartRecruiters rarely do through these APIs.
- Posted date means the date the job board reports. Workable gives a date without time.
- A plain slug can match a different company with the same slug on another system. Use the full job board URL or `ats:slug` when that matters.
- SmartRecruiters needs one extra request per job for the description, so large SmartRecruiters boards run slower with descriptions on.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** The actor reads the job board APIs that each system publishes openly so that jobs can be shown on other sites. It does not log in, does not bypass any protection and does not collect personal data about candidates or recruiters. You are responsible for how you use the data, including each job board's terms.

**How do I find a company's slug?** Open the company's careers page and click any job. The link shows the system and slug, for example `jobs.lever.co/spotify/...` gives `lever:spotify`.

**Can I monitor new jobs?** Yes. Schedule the actor daily with `postedWithinDays` set to 1 or 2, or compare `jobId` values between runs.

**Why did a company return zero jobs?** Either it has no open roles right now, or it uses another system. Check `RUN_SUMMARY`.

**Can AI agents call it?** Yes. The input is small and strict, and the actor is priced per event, so it works well through the Apify MCP server.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One company per line. Paste a job board URL (https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb, https://jobs.lever.co/spotify, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp, https://apply.workable.com/blueground, https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup, https://bunq.recruitee.com), write ats:slug (greenhouse:airbnb) or just the slug (airbnb) and the actor finds the board.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains at least one of these words (case does not matter). Leave empty for all jobs.

## `excludeTitleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, for example intern or senior.

## `locationKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose location text contains one of these, for example London, United States, Remote.

## `departmentKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs in matching departments or teams, for example Engineering or Sales.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs marked remote by the job board or with remote in the location.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs first published in the last N days. 0 keeps all.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds the job description as clean plain text. SmartRecruiters needs one extra request per job for this.

## `maxDescriptionChars` (type: `integer`):

Descriptions longer than this are cut.

## `atsToTry` (type: `array`):

When a line is only a slug, these systems are tried in this order until one has the company.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many matching jobs from one company.

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

The run stops after saving this many jobs.
