## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Gumroad Scraper: Products, Prices, Ratings by Keyword or Tag

Search Gumroad's public product catalog the way its Discover page does, and get every result as a clean row: product name and link, price and currency, pay what you want flag, subscription period, product type, rating and number of ratings, the creator's storefront, a thumbnail and a short description.

Search by keyword, by tag or by category, sort by featured, newest, hot and new, highest rated, most reviewed or price, and filter by price and rating. No login and no browser.

### What you can use it for

- **Digital product research:** see what sells in Notion templates, Lightroom presets, Procreate brushes, icon packs, courses or ebooks, and at what price.
- **Pricing benchmarks:** compare price points and pay what you want use across a niche before you launch.
- **Trend spotting:** "newest" and "hot and new" sorts show what creators are shipping this week.
- **Creator and partner discovery:** find the storefronts behind the most reviewed products in a category.
- **AI agents:** one job, simple inputs, predictable rows.

### Input

| Field | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Search keywords | For example `notion template`, `icon pack` | none |
| Tags | Gumroad tags, for example `procreate brushes` | none |
| Categories | For example `design`, `software-development`, `education` (full list in the input form) | none |
| Sort by | Featured, newest, hot and new, highest rated, most reviewed, price low to high, price high to low | featured |
| Minimum price, Maximum price | Skip products outside the range | none |
| Minimum rating | 1 to 4 stars and up | none |
| Maximum results per search | Per keyword, tag or category | 100 |
| Maximum products | Total cap; duplicates across searches are saved once | 5000 |

If you give categories together with keywords or tags, each keyword or tag is searched inside each category.

Example input:

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["notion template"],
  "tags": ["procreate brushes"],
  "sort": "most_reviewed",
  "maxResultsPerSearch": 100
}
```

### Output

One row per product. Example:

```json
{
  "productId": "h_kAzMxxWRP008g6xaexww==",
  "permalink": "tkfmcx",
  "name": "Notion Student Dashboard",
  "url": "https://easloacademy.gumroad.com/l/tkfmcx",
  "price": 0,
  "currency": "USD",
  "isFree": true,
  "isPayWhatYouWant": true,
  "recurrence": null,
  "productType": "digital",
  "rating": 5,
  "ratingCount": 4880,
  "sellerName": "Easlo Academy",
  "sellerProfileUrl": "https://easloacademy.gumroad.com/",
  "sellerVerified": false,
  "thumbnailUrl": "https://public-files.gumroad.com/jvqdiiolbolhlduclvktr5wj6h7o",
  "descriptionSnippet": "Transform Your Student Life with an Organized Notion Dashboard...",
  "searchQuery": "notion template",
  "sort": "most_reviewed",
  "position": 1,
  "totalMatches": 19781,
  "scrapedAt": "2026-09-27T07:26:57.617Z"
}
```

`price` is in the product's own currency (Gumroad creators price in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD and others). For pay what you want products it is the minimum price. `recurrence` is set for memberships and subscriptions (monthly, quarterly, yearly). `totalMatches` is how many products Gumroad reports for the search. A `RUN_SUMMARY` record in the run's key value store lists each search with its match count and any problem.

### Pricing

Pay per event. No subscription and no platform usage charge on top.

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Product saved | $0.0015 (1.50 dollars per 1,000 products) |

Duplicates and products skipped by your price filter are free. Example: 10 keywords with 100 products each cost $1.50.

### Limits

- Gumroad serves about the first 10,000 results of any one search. Split very broad searches into narrower keywords, tags or categories.
- Sales counts, full descriptions and file lists are not part of the search results and are not returned.
- Gumroad's own price filter works on its internal price tiers, so the actor checks each listed price again; prices in other currencies are compared as listed, without conversion.
- Only what Gumroad shows on its public Discover search is returned. Products a creator keeps off Discover will not appear.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Gumroad account?** No.

**Does it collect buyer or customer data?** No. Only public product listings and the creator's public storefront name and link.

**Can I track new products in a niche?** Yes. Sort by newest and schedule the actor daily.

**Is this affiliated with Gumroad?** No. It is an independent tool that reads Gumroad's public Discover search.
