## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ITviec Jobs Scraper

Search ITviec, Vietnam's IT job board, and get structured job listings: title, company, skills, work mode, city, dates and the full description as plain text. Plain HTTP, no browser, no login.

**No salary.** ITviec shows salaries only to signed-in users, and this Actor never signs in, so there is no salary field. If you need pay data for Vietnam, see the VietnamWorks Jobs Scraper below.

### Who it is for

- **Recruiters and HR teams** tracking which companies hire for which tech skills in Vietnam.
- **Market and talent researchers** building a dataset of IT postings by skill, city and work mode (office, hybrid, remote).
- **Job aggregators and career sites** that want fresh ITviec listings in their own database.
- **Analysts and LLM pipelines** that need clean job text and skill lists to classify or summarize.

### What you get

- **Many searches in one run.** One keyword per line: a skill, a job title or a company. An empty keyword returns all jobs on the site.
- **Skills, domain and work mode.** Skills as a list, the job expertise and domains, and At office, Hybrid or Remote as ITviec shows them.
- **Every work location.** A job listed in several cities returns all of them.
- **Descriptions as plain text.** The job description, the skills and experience section, and the benefits list, without HTML. Turn the long texts off for a lighter dataset.
- **Duplicates removed.** A job found by several of your searches is fetched, returned and charged once.
- **Failures don't fail the run.** A search or a job that fails becomes an `error` item (never charged) and the rest continues.
- **Options for scheduled runs.** `failOnError` and `minResults` end a run as failed when something is wrong, so a scheduled run with alerts cannot fail silently.

### Input

| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `queries` | `["developer"]` | Search keywords, one per entry (1 to 50). An empty string returns all jobs. |
| `maxResults` | `100` | Stop after this many jobs in total, 1 to 500. |
| `postedWithinDays` | none | Keep only jobs whose `postedAt` is in the last N days (1 to 365). |
| `includeDescription` | `true` | Include `description` and `requirements`. |
| `failOnError` | `false` | End the run as failed if any search or job ends in an error item. |
| `minResults` | `0` | End the run as failed if fewer jobs than this came back. |

#### Example: Python and data engineering jobs

```json
{ "queries": ["python", "data engineer"], "maxResults": 200 }
```

### Output

One dataset item per job. This is a real item from our test runs, with the long texts shortened:

```json
{
  "jobId": "senior-software-engineer-python-inspectorio-0914",
  "url": "https://itviec.com/it-jobs/senior-software-engineer-python-inspectorio-0914",
  "title": "Senior Software Engineer (Python)",
  "companyName": "Inspectorio",
  "companyUrl": "https://itviec.com/companies/inspectorio",
  "employmentType": "Full-time",
  "workMode": "Hybrid",
  "jobFunction": "Backend Developer",
  "industries": ["Software Products and Web Services", "AI Software & Services"],
  "skills": ["Python", "Design Systems", "CI/CD", "PostgreSql", "Angular", "Django"],
  "benefits": ["Unlimited Annual Leave: We prioritize your well-being ...", "Flexible Working: Whether from home, a coffee shop ...", "..."],
  "locations": ["Ho Chi Minh"],
  "address": "The Galleria Metro 6 Office Tower,59 Hanoi highway",
  "yearsOfExperience": 3,
  "postedAt": "2026-10-13",
  "postedText": "Posted 5 days ago",
  "expiresAt": "2026-11-17",
  "description": "About Inspectorio\nInspectorio is the leading AI-powered supply chain platform ...",
  "requirements": "- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development ...",
  "query": "python",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-18T10:27:49.511Z"
}
```

| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| `jobId`, `url`, `title`, `query`, `scrapedAt` | Never null. `jobId` is the ITviec job slug. |
| `postedAt`, `postedText` | `postedAt` is the date in the page's structured data (YYYY-MM-DD, no time). It can be older than the age the page shows, which `postedText` gives exactly as the page writes it, for example "Posted 5 days ago". |
| `companyName`, `companyUrl`, `employmentType`, `workMode`, `jobFunction`, `expiresAt` | Present on every job in our tests; the schema allows null if ITviec leaves them out. |
| `address`, `yearsOfExperience` | Can be null. `yearsOfExperience` is rounded down; 0 means under a year. |
| `skills`, `industries`, `benefits`, `locations` | Arrays; empty when none. `locations` holds cities, and is empty when the site gives no city, for example for an overseas address. |
| `description`, `requirements` | Null when `includeDescription` is off or the employer left them empty. |

A failed search, a job that could not be read, or an invalid input produces `{ "type": "error", "input": ..., "message": ... }`. Error items are never charged. A job that ITviec has removed since the search is skipped without an error item.

### Measured limits

From our tests in October 2026 (runs on Apify, 859 items, 527 different jobs, no errors):

- **Depth and speed.** A run with an empty keyword returned 500 jobs and stopped at `maxResults`, in about 9.5 minutes. ITviec answers about 0.7 to 0.9 jobs per second to a run, whatever the concurrency, so a run of 200 jobs takes about 4 minutes. The whole site held 649 jobs when we counted from a local address on the same day. That is why `maxResults` has a ceiling of 500: run several keyword searches for more.
- **Descriptions.** With descriptions on, 100% of the jobs had a description and a skills and experience section.
- **Other fields.** Company, employer link, job expertise, skills, domains, posting dates and expiry were present on every job; an address on 99.6%, a city on 99.8%, a minimum experience on 91% and benefits on 86%.
- **Work mode.** 80% At office, 18% Hybrid and 2% Remote.
- **Cost of a run.** The 500-job run used about $0.02 of platform time; you pay only the per-job price below.

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$1.20 per 1,000 jobs**, plus a small start fee per run. No monthly fee (you need an Apify account). Error items and duplicates are never charged.

- 100 jobs: $0.12.
- 500 jobs (the per-run maximum): $0.60.

You can set a maximum cost per run in Apify; the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached.

### FAQ

**Does it need a login or cookies?** No. It reads the same public pages any visitor sees, and it never signs in.

**Why is there no salary?** ITviec shows salaries only to signed-in users. The Actor does not sign in, so it cannot read them.

**Does it use a proxy?** No, it runs from Apify's platform addresses and backs off when the site slows down.

**Is it legal?** It collects only publicly visible job postings and never signs in. You are responsible for how you use the data, including data-protection law for any personal data in descriptions.

**Why does a run take minutes?** ITviec has no public feed, so the Actor reads one job page per job, and the site answers about one job per second. See "Measured limits".

**How many jobs can I get?** Up to 500 per run. Use several keywords for more.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

One search per entry, for example a skill, job title or company. An empty string returns all jobs on the site.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total (1 to 500), all searches together. Duplicate jobs across searches are returned once.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs posted in the last N days. Jobs are still read from the search results, so this narrows the output, not the pages fetched.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Include the job description and the skills and experience section as plain text. Turn off for a lighter dataset.

## `failOnError` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs with alerts: end the run as failed if any search or job ends in an error item. Jobs already returned stay saved and charged.

## `minResults` (type: `integer`):

For scheduled runs with alerts: end the run as failed if fewer jobs than this came back in total.

}
```
# Actor output Schema
All jobs of the run, one item each (error items included).
## `overview` (type: `string`):
The same items as a compact table view.
## `summary` (type: `string`):
Per search: jobs returned, pages read, why it ended and seconds taken.
