## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Hotels Scraper - Hotel Price Tracker

Scrape hotel prices from [Google Hotels](https://www.google.com/travel/hotels) for any place and dates. Type a search the way you would on Google ("hotels in Lisbon", "hotels near JFK airport", or a hotel's name), pick dates, guests and currency, and get one row per hotel with its price.

### What data you get

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `name` | Turim Luxe Hotel |
| `pricePerNight` | 70 |
| `pricePerNightExact` | 69.57 |
| `priceText` | $70 |
| `totalPrice` | 210 (3 nights) |
| `currency` | USD |
| `checkIn`, `checkOut`, `adults` | 2026-12-20, 2026-12-23, 2 |
| `dealText` | 36% less than usual |
| `hotelClass`, `hotelClassText` | 3, 3-star hotel |
| `rating`, `reviewsCount` | 3.8, 917 |
| `latitude`, `longitude` | 38.728, -9.137 |
| `checkInTime`, `checkOutTime` | 2:00 PM, 12:00 PM |
| `website` | https://turim-hotels.com/... |
| `countryCode` | PT |
| `photo` | Main photo URL |
| `googleUrl`, `googleId` | Link to the hotel on Google |
| `query`, `searchLocation`, `position` | hotels in Lisbon, Lisbon, 1 |
| `type` | hotel or vacation_rental |

Prices are the ones Google shows in its hotel list for your dates, guests and currency. `totalPrice` is Google's total for the whole stay. Whether taxes are included follows Google's display for the country you pick.

Download as JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the Apify API. Ready-to-run Python and Node.js examples: [github.com/plainapitools/google-hotels-scraper](https://github.com/plainapitools/google-hotels-scraper).

### How to scrape Google Hotels prices

1. Add one or more searches: `hotels in Paris`, `beach resorts in Cancun`, `hotels near Times Square`, or a hotel name like `Turim Luxe Hotel Lisbon` (the named hotel comes first, then hotels nearby).
2. Set check-in as a date (`2026-12-20`) or relative (`30 days`). Relative dates count from the day the run starts, so a daily schedule always looks ahead.
3. Set check-out, or leave it empty and set **Nights** (up to 30).
4. For a **price calendar**, set **Number of check-in dates**. 14 gives the same stay priced for 14 check-in dates in a row.
5. Pick adults, currency and how many hotels per search.

Example input:

```json
{
  "queries": ["hotels in Lisbon", "hotels near Times Square"],
  "checkIn": "30 days",
  "nights": 3,
  "checkInDays": 7,
  "adults": 2,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "maxHotels": 100
}
```

### Track competitor hotel rates

Search your area (`hotels in Lisbon Baixa`) or your hotel's name, use a relative check-in like `30 days`, and schedule the run daily. Each day you get fresh prices for the hotels around you, with the date and position of each one.

### Pricing

Pay per hotel returned. Hotels that are sold out or show no price for your dates are skipped and not charged. Duplicate searches in one run are merged so you do not pay twice.

### FAQ

**Which currencies work?** Any ISO code Google accepts. Tested: USD, EUR, GEL.

**What if I misspell a place?** If Google does not recognise it, that search is skipped, nothing is charged, and the run log says so. If Google matches it to a different place, the log warns you, and each row has `searchLocation` showing what Google matched.

**How many hotels can I get?** Google shows about 20 per page; the scraper pages until your max or until Google runs out.

**Do I need a Google account or API key?** No.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

What you would type into Google Hotels, one per line. Examples: "hotels in Lisbon", "hotels near Times Square", "beach resorts in Cancun".

## `checkIn` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD, or relative like "30 days" (counts from the day the run starts, so scheduled runs keep moving forward). Default: 30 days from today.

## `checkOut` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD or relative like "32 days". Leave empty to use Nights instead. Stays up to 30 nights.

## `nights` (type: `integer`):

Length of stay when Check-out is empty.

## `checkInDays` (type: `integer`):

Run each search for this many check-in dates in a row, starting at Check-in. Example: 14 gives two weeks of prices for the same stay length. Default 1.

## `adults` (type: `integer`):

Number of adult guests (1-10).

## `currency` (type: `string`):

Three-letter currency code for prices, e.g. USD, EUR, GBP.

## `maxHotels` (type: `integer`):

Stop each search after this many priced properties. You only pay for properties returned.

## `includeVacationRentals` (type: `boolean`):

Google mixes apartments and other rentals into hotel results. Off = hotels only.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Google interface language code (hl), e.g. en, de, es.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Google country code (gl), e.g. us, gb, de. Affects which deals Google shows.

## `proxy` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy is used by default.
