## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Official Statistics — Inflation, GDP, Jobs & Any Dataset

Download **any European official statistics dataset** — inflation, GDP, unemployment, trade, population, energy prices and thousands more — as **clean, flat rows** ready for spreadsheets, BI tools and AI agents. Uses the official **Eurostat dissemination API** (JSON-stat), so you only need the dataset code and the filters you care about.

### Input examples

```json
{ "datasetCode": "une_rt_m", "geo": ["DE", "FR", "ES"], "filters": ["s_adj=SA", "age=TOTAL", "sex=T", "unit=PC_ACT"], "lastTimePeriods": 12 }
{ "datasetCode": "prc_hicp_minr", "geo": ["EA20", "DE"], "filters": ["coicop18=TOTAL", "unit=RCH_A"], "sinceTimePeriod": "2024-01" }
{ "datasetCode": "namq_10_gdp", "geo": ["EU27_2020"], "filters": ["unit=CLV_PCH_PRE", "s_adj=SCA", "na_item=B1GQ"], "lastTimePeriods": 8 }
```

Find dataset codes in the Eurostat data browser (the code is shown next to each table, e.g. `une_rt_m`). If a dimension has many values, add filters to keep the result small.

### Output (one row per observation)

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| dataset, datasetLabel, updated | Dataset code, title and last update |
| *dimension*, *dimension*Label | One code + label pair per dimension (e.g. geo / geoLabel, unit / unitLabel) |
| time | Time period (e.g. 2026-07, 2025-Q4, 2025) |
| value | Observation value |
| flag | Eurostat status flag (e.g. p = provisional, e = estimated), if any |
| source | "Source: Eurostat" acknowledgement |

### Data source & licence

Eurostat dissemination API. Eurostat's copyright notice: "Reuse of statistical data, metadata, publications, and other dissemination tools published on this website for commercial or non-commercial purposes is authorised provided the source is acknowledged." Every row carries the acknowledgement **Source: Eurostat**. Data belonging to sources other than Eurostat is excluded from that permission, so this actor only returns datasets whose response declares Eurostat as the source and stops otherwise. Values are passed through unchanged.

### Notes

One dataset per run. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Eurostat or the European Commission.

# Actor input Schema

## `datasetCode` (type: `string`):

Eurostat dataset code, e.g. une_rt_m (unemployment), prc_hicp_minr (inflation), namq_10_gdp (quarterly GDP), demo_pjan (population), nrg_pc_204 (electricity prices).

## `geo` (type: `array`):

Geo codes, e.g. DE, FR, EU27_2020, EA20. Empty = all.

## `filters` (type: `array`):

One filter per line as dimension=value (comma for several), e.g. unit=PC_ACT, s_adj=SA, sex=T, age=TOTAL.

## `lastTimePeriods` (type: `integer`):

Most recent N time periods (ignored if 'Since period' is set).

## `sinceTimePeriod` (type: `string`):

e.g. 2020, 2023-Q1, 2024-01

## `untilTimePeriod` (type: `string`):

e.g. 2025, 2025-Q4, 2025-12

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language of labels.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Up to 50,000 observations per run.
