## Pricing

from $0.45 / 1,000 reviews

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Amazon Reviews Scraper

Get the **customer reviews of any amazon.com product**: **star rating, review title, full text, date, country, Verified Purchase badge, helpful votes** and the variant reviewed, plus the product's **average rating, total number of ratings and star histogram**. Paste ASINs or product URLs copied from amazon.com.

**What you get per product, honestly:** the reviews Amazon shows on the product page itself, **up to ~10-13 top reviews per product, as shown on the product page** (usually 8 to 13: the top reviews from the US, often followed by a few top reviews from other countries). Amazon's full review pages (`/product-reviews/…`, with sorting and all pages) require signing in, and this Actor never logs in: it does not return every review of a product.

Plain HTTP requests, no browser: **no login, no account, no cookies**. The Actor reads only the public product pages, one page per product with a pause, and respects amazon.com's robots.txt. If Amazon answers with a bot check, it tries once more and then leaves the product free: it never solves a captcha.

**Privacy:** reviewers are private people. The Actor never returns a reviewer's name, profile link or picture.

### Typical uses

- **Product research** for Amazon sellers, FBA and dropshipping: what buyers like and complain about, before you source a product.
- **Competitor watch**: schedule a run with "Only new reviews" and get each new top review of your competitors' products.
- **Critical reviews only**: set the rating range to 1-2 stars to collect complaints for product improvement.
- **Sentiment analysis and AI**: clean review text for an LLM, Google Sheets, n8n, Make, Zapier or an MCP client.

### What you get

One row per review:

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `asin`, `productUrl`, `productTitle` | The product |
| `reviewId`, `reviewUrl` | Amazon review ID and link to the review |
| `rating` | Stars given (1 to 5) |
| `title`, `text` | Review title and full text (paragraphs separated by line breaks) |
| `date`, `country` | Review date (`YYYY-MM-DD`) and the Amazon store it was written in (`United States`, `Canada`…) |
| `verified` | Verified Purchase badge |
| `helpfulVotes` | People who found the review helpful (0 when Amazon shows none) |
| `variant` | Variant reviewed (color, size…) when Amazon shows it |
| `position` | Order of the review on the product page |
| `productRating`, `productRatingsCount`, `productRatingsHistogram` | Average rating, total ratings and share of ratings per star (`{"5": 88, "4": 6, …}`) |
| `observedAt` | When the page was read (UTC) |

Missing values are always `null`, never guessed. A product without reviews (or blocked, missing or unreadable) gets one free row with `found: false`, a `status` and a `message`.

### Input

```json
{
  "products": ["0593139135", "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BSHF7WHW"],
  "minRating": 1,
  "maxRating": 5,
  "onlyNewReviews": false
}
```

- **products**: one per line, up to 500 per run: an ASIN or an amazon.com product URL (`/dp/`, `/gp/product/` or `/product-reviews/` links).
- **minRating**, **maxRating**: keep only reviews in this star range (default 1 to 5).
- **onlyNewReviews**: return only reviews that earlier runs with this option have not delivered yet (memory in a key-value store of your account, name set by **monitorName**).

Only amazon.com (US store) for now.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **one event per review returned**, **one small fee per product page read that shows reviews** (it pays the residential proxy traffic of the ~1.5 MB page, read up to twice), plus a small start fee per run.

| Plan | Per review | Per product page | 1 product with 10 reviews |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0.0006 | $0.008 | $0.014 |
| Bronze | $0.00055 | $0.008 | $0.0135 |
| Silver | $0.0005 | $0.008 | $0.013 |
| Gold | $0.00045 | $0.008 | $0.0125 |

Start fee: $0.002 per run. **Products without reviews, blocked, missing or unreadable pages and input mistakes cost nothing.** Reviews outside your rating range or already delivered are not charged; the product page fee still is, since the page was read. On the Apify free plan a run reads up to 10 products.

### Good to know

- The reviews are the ones amazon.com shows to a visitor in the US, read through residential IPs; Amazon chooses which top reviews to show and may change them.
- Reviews from other countries are shown in their original language.
- From one visit to the next, Amazon sometimes serves the product page without its reviews in it (it loads them later with a script). The Actor then tries once more on another IP; if the reviews are still missing, the product gets a free row with status `REVIEWS_NOT_IN_PAGE` and you can simply run it again later.
- You are responsible for how you use the data (Amazon's terms, your local law).

# Actor input Schema

## `products` (type: `array`):

One product per line: an ASIN (e.g. 0593139135) or a product URL copied from amazon.com (/dp/, /gp/product/ or /product-reviews/ links). amazon.com only. Up to 500 products per run; duplicates are removed. Each product gives the reviews shown on its product page (about 8 to 13 top reviews).

## `minRating` (type: `integer`):

Keep only reviews rated at least this many stars (1 to 5). Filtered-out reviews are not charged; the product page fee still is.

## `maxRating` (type: `integer`):

Keep only reviews rated at most this many stars, e.g. 2 for critical reviews only.

## `onlyNewReviews` (type: `boolean`):

Return (and charge) only reviews that earlier runs with this option have not delivered yet. Useful on a schedule. The product page fee is still charged for each page read with reviews.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Name of the key-value store in your Apify account that remembers delivered reviews (default "plainrows-amazon-reviews-monitor"). Use another name per monitoring task to keep separate histories. Lowercase letters, digits and hyphens.
