## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 apps

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store Scraper & Google Play Scraper: App Details

Get **app details from Google Play and the Apple App Store** in one run: **title, developer, category, average rating, number of ratings, installs (Google Play), price and currency, free or paid, version, last update and release dates, content rating, short description, icon, number of screenshots, download size (App Store)**. Paste app URLs, Android package names or Apple app IDs, mix both stores freely.

**No login, no account, no cookies, no browser.** App Store apps come from Apple's public iTunes Lookup API (up to 100 apps per request). Google Play apps come from their public app page, read one at a time with a pause between pages, with an honest user agent and Google Play's robots.txt respected.

### Typical uses

- **App store optimization (ASO) and competitor tracking**: follow rating, rating count, installs, version and update date of your apps and your competitors', on a schedule.
- **Market research**: compare categories, prices and ratings of a list of apps across countries.
- **Lead generation for app agencies and SDK vendors**: developer name, developer page and website of the apps you target.
- **Data pipelines and AI agents**: clean rows for Google Sheets, n8n, Make, Zapier or an MCP client.

### What you get

One row per app:

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `store` | `google_play` or `app_store` |
| `appId` | Android package name (`com.spotify.music`) or Apple app ID (`324684580`) |
| `title` | App name |
| `developer`, `developerUrl`, `developerWebsite` | Developer name and store page as published, plus the website they give |
| `category`, `genres` | Google Play category code (e.g. `MUSIC_AND_AUDIO`) or App Store genres |
| `rating`, `ratingCount` | Average rating out of 5 and number of ratings |
| `installs` | Google Play installs bracket, e.g. `1B+` (Google Play only) |
| `price`, `currency`, `free` | Price in the store's currency, and whether the app is free |
| `containsAds`, `inAppPurchases` | Google Play badges (English pages) |
| `version` | Current version (App Store; Google Play shows it only in a dialog, so it is empty) |
| `updatedAt`, `releasedAt` | Last update (both stores), first release (App Store) |
| `contentRating` | e.g. `Teen`, `Everyone 10+`, `12+` |
| `description` | Google Play short description, or the first 500 characters of the App Store description |
| `icon`, `screenshotsCount`, `sizeBytes` | Icon URL, number of screenshots shown, App Store download size |
| `url` | App page |
| `found`, `status`, `message` | `found: false` rows are free and say why: `NOT_FOUND`, `NO_RATINGS` (app without ratings yet in this country: details returned free), `BLOCKED`, `NETWORK_ERROR`, `FORMAT_CHANGED`, `ROBOTS_DISALLOWED` |
| `country`, `input`, `observedAt`, `schemaVersion` | Store country, your value, read time, output format version |

No personal data: only the developer name the store publishes. No reviews (see our review scrapers below).

#### Example row

```json
{
  "store": "google_play",
  "appId": "com.spotify.music",
  "country": "US",
  "found": true,
  "title": "Spotify: Music and Podcasts",
  "developer": "Spotify AB",
  "developerUrl": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Spotify+AB",
  "category": "MUSIC_AND_AUDIO",
  "rating": 4.35,
  "ratingCount": 36499592,
  "installs": "1B+",
  "price": 0,
  "currency": "USD",
  "free": true,
  "containsAds": true,
  "inAppPurchases": true,
  "updatedAt": "2026-10-14",
  "contentRating": "Teen",
  "url": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music&hl=en",
  "status": "FOUND"
}
```

### Input

```json
{
  "apps": [
    "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music",
    "org.wikipedia",
    "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-music-and-podcasts/id324684580",
    "id284882215"
  ],
  "country": "us",
  "language": "en"
}
```

- **apps**: Google Play app URLs, App Store app URLs, Android package names or Apple IDs (`id324684580` or `324684580`). Up to 500 per run; duplicates are removed.
- **country**: two-letter store country (default `us`). An App Store URL with its own country (`/gb/app/…`) keeps that country.
- **language**: language of the Google Play texts (default `en`). Dates are given as `YYYY-MM-DD` on English pages.

Store search (by keyword) is not supported: both stores' robots.txt forbid it.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **one event per app returned** with its ID, title, developer and a rating or rating count, plus a small start fee per run ($0.002).

| Apify plan | Per app | Per 1,000 apps |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0.0015 | $1.50 |
| Bronze | $0.0013 | $1.30 |
| Silver | $0.0012 | $1.20 |
| Gold | $0.001 | $1.00 |

**Free of charge**: apps not found, blocked or unreadable pages, apps without any rating yet, duplicates and input mistakes. The free Apify plan is limited to 20 apps per run.

### FAQ

**Can I search apps by keyword?** No. Google Play and Apple forbid automated search in their robots.txt; this Actor reads app pages you name. Copy the URLs from the store or use package names / Apple IDs.

**Why is `version` empty for Google Play apps?** Google Play shows the version only in the "About this app" dialog, loaded by the browser. We do not run a browser; the App Store gives the version.

**Why is `installs` empty for App Store apps?** Apple does not publish download counts.

**What happens if a store blocks the request?** The app comes back as a free row with `status: BLOCKED`. We never use proxies or solve captchas to get past a block; try again later.

**How fast is it?** App Store: up to 100 apps per request, a few seconds for 500 apps. Google Play: one page at a time with a 1.5 s pause, about 3 seconds per app.

**Are prices and ratings the same in every country?** No: set `country` to the store you want. Ratings on the App Store are per country.

**Can I schedule it?** Yes, with Apify schedules, to track ratings and updates over time.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

Google Play app URLs (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music), App Store app URLs (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-music-and-podcasts/id324684580), Android package names (com.spotify.music) or Apple IDs (id324684580 or 324684580). Up to 500 apps per run. Store search is not supported.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter store country (us, gb, de, fr, br…). Prices, ratings and availability depend on it. An App Store URL with its own country (/gb/app/…) keeps that country.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language of the Google Play texts (en, de, fr, pt-BR…). Dates are converted to YYYY-MM-DD for English pages; other languages keep the date as shown.
