## Pricing

from $0.90 / 1,000 jobs

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Catho Jobs Scraper: Brazil Job Ads from catho.com.br

A **Catho scraper for Brazil jobs**: get the job ads of [Catho](https://www.catho.com.br), one of Brazil's largest job boards, for any keyword, city or filter: **job title, company, city, number of openings, salary in BRL (from / to), number of benefits, publication date and link**. Paste search URLs from catho.com.br, or type keywords + cities.

Plain HTTP requests, no browser: **no login, no account, no cookies**. The Actor reads only the public search pages, one page at a time per search with a pause between pages, and respects the robots.txt of the site.

### Typical uses

- **Brazilian job market research**: how many sales, data or nursing jobs are open in São Paulo or Curitiba, and at which salary.
- **Salary benchmarks**: `salaryFromBrl` / `salaryToBrl` as numbers, ready for a spreadsheet.
- **Recruitment agencies and sales teams**: which Brazilian companies are hiring, for what, where.
- **Job boards and alerts**: feed new Catho jobs into your own site, Slack, Google Sheets or an AI agent every day.
- **Spreadsheets, BI and AI agents**: clean rows for Google Sheets, n8n, Make, Zapier or an MCP client.

### What you get

One row per job:

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `search`, `searchUrl` | Your search and the page read |
| `jobId`, `url` | Catho job ID and job link (apply there) |
| `title` | Job title |
| `employer`, `confidentialEmployer` | Company as shown on Catho; `null` with `confidentialEmployer: true` when Catho hides it ("Empresa Confidencial"). Never a recruiter's or contact's name |
| `city`, `openings` | City of the job and number of openings ("2 vagas") |
| `salary`, `salaryFromBrl`, `salaryToBrl`, `benefits` | Salary as shown ("A partir de R$ 3.000,00 + 2 benefícios", "A Combinar"), the amounts in BRL as numbers, and the number of benefits |
| `publishedAt`, `publishedLabel` | Publication date (YYYY-MM-DD, Brazil time) and the label shown ("Publicada Ontem") |
| `sponsored` | `true` for a sponsored job ("VAGA PATROCINADA") |
| `page`, `position`, `totalResults` | Where the job was, and the count Catho announces for the search |
| `observedAt` | When the page was read (UTC) |

Missing values are always `null`, never guessed. A search without jobs (or blocked, or unreadable) gets one free row with `found: false`, a `status` and a `message`.

#### Example row

```json
{
  "search": "https://www.catho.com.br/vagas/vendedor/",
  "found": true,
  "jobId": "38846272",
  "title": "Vendedora",
  "employer": "GRUPO SELECT RH",
  "confidentialEmployer": false,
  "city": "Betim",
  "openings": 2,
  "salary": "R$ 1.691",
  "salaryFromBrl": 1691,
  "salaryToBrl": 1691,
  "benefits": 0,
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-15",
  "publishedLabel": "Publicada em 15/10",
  "sponsored": true,
  "url": "https://www.catho.com.br/vagas/vendedora/38846272",
  "status": "FOUND"
}
```

### Input

```json
{
  "searchUrls": ["https://www.catho.com.br/vagas/vendedor/"],
  "keywords": ["analista de dados", "enfermeiro"],
  "locations": ["São Paulo, SP", "Curitiba, PR"],
  "maxResultsPerSearch": 60
}
```

- **searchUrls**: search pages copied from catho.com.br (`/vagas/<keyword>/` or `/vagas/<keyword>/<city-uf>/`), with the site's filters kept. The page number is ignored.
- **keywords** and **locations**: each keyword is searched in each city ("City, UF", accents optional); with no city, across Brazil.
- **maxResultsPerSearch**: 1 to 1,000 (default 60). Catho shows 20 jobs per page; the Actor reads up to 50 pages per search.

Up to 100 searches per run. Jobs found by two of your searches are returned and billed once.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **one event per job returned**, plus a small start fee per run ($0.001).

| Plan | Per job | Per 1,000 jobs |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0.0012 | $1.20 |
| Bronze | $0.0011 | $1.10 |
| Silver | $0.0010 | $1.00 |
| Gold | $0.0009 | $0.90 |

Free: searches without jobs, pages that are blocked or cannot be read, jobs without title, link, city or company (a company hidden by Catho as "Empresa Confidencial" still counts as a complete job), duplicates and input mistakes. On the free Apify plan, a run reads up to 3 searches and 40 jobs per search.

### Limits

- **`totalResults` is Catho's announced count, larger than what its pages list**: on 2026-10-18 "vendedor" announced 107,235 jobs but paginated 695 pages of 20. The Actor follows the pages, up to the last one linked, your limit, or 1,000 jobs.
- Up to 1,000 jobs per search (50 pages). For more, split by city or keyword.
- Only what the search pages show: no full description, no state code (the city only), no recruiter names. Salary is the text Catho shows; `salaryFromBrl` / `salaryToBrl` are `null` for "A Combinar".
- Searches through `/buscar/vagas/` and some URL parameters (`?q=`, `?area_id`, `?perfil_id=`…) are forbidden by Catho's robots.txt: such URLs return a free `ROBOTS_DISALLOWED` row.

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** The Actor reads only pages anyone can see without an account, at a slow pace, and respects robots.txt. It returns the job as the site publishes it, and no recruiter name. You are responsible for how you use the data.

**How do I search one city?** Add it to `locations` ("Belo Horizonte, MG"), or open catho.com.br, search with the city, and paste the URL into `searchUrls`.

**Why are some searches empty or BLOCKED?** If the site refuses a request (rate limit or bot check), the Actor stops that search and charges nothing beyond the results already delivered. If this happens after the first page, the run summary warns that the search stopped early and its results are partial. It never solves or bypasses a check. Try again later.

**Other Brazilian job sources?** [Gupy Jobs Scraper](https://apify.com/plainrows/gupy-jobs-scraper) reads the Gupy portal (thousands of employers' career pages, with contract type, work model and full description).

**Which language?** Field names are in English; titles, cities and salary labels stay in Portuguese as published.
