## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 places

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Maps Email Extractor: Business Leads with Emails

Turn any Google Maps search into a **lead list with e-mails**: for each business, **name, category, address, phone, website, rating and reviews count from Google Maps, plus the e-mails, phone links and social profiles (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok) published on its own website**. Type what you would type in Google Maps (`dentist in Austin, TX`, `plumber Manchester`) and get up to 700 places per search.

Places come from a commercial search data API (no browser, no proxies, no Google account); the website of each place is then read like a browser would load it (homepage, then up to two contact or legal pages when the homepage shows no e-mail), respecting robots.txt. **You pay per place returned, plus per website where contacts were found, plus $0.003 per run start.** Places without a website, sites with nothing found and sites that object to solicitation cost nothing beyond the place itself.

Same data and code as our [Google Maps Scraper](https://apify.com/plainrows/google-maps-businesses), set up for lead generation: contact details on and only places with a website by default.

### Typical uses

- **Cold e-mail and outreach**: local businesses by trade and city with a contact e-mail, ready for your CRM or sequencer.
- **Agencies**: build prospect lists of restaurants, clinics, trades or shops with their social profiles to pitch marketing services.
- **Sales teams**: enrich a territory with phones, e-mails and LinkedIn pages in one run.
- **Market research**: count and map businesses in an area, with ratings and categories.
- **Automations and AI agents**: feed n8n, Make, Zapier, Google Sheets, HubSpot or an MCP client with structured JSON.

### What you get for each place

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `name`, `category`, `additionalCategories`, `categoryIds` | Business name and Google categories (`categoryIds` are language-independent, e.g. `pizza_restaurant`) |
| `address`, `street`, `city`, `postalCode`, `region`, `countryCode` | Address, also split into parts |
| `latitude`, `longitude` | GPS coordinates |
| `phone` | Business phone, international format |
| `website`, `domain`, `bookingUrl` | Website listed on Google Maps, its domain, Google booking link |
| `rating`, `reviewsCount`, `ratingDistribution` | Average rating, number of ratings, count of 1 to 5 star ratings |
| `priceLevel`, `isClaimed`, `photosCount`, `imageUrl` | Price level, whether the owner claimed the listing, photos |
| `openingHours` | Hours per weekday, e.g. `{"monday": ["09:00-17:30"]}`; an empty list means closed |
| `placeId`, `cid`, `googleMapsUrl` | Google identifiers and a direct Google Maps link |
| `rank` | Position in the Google Maps results for your query (sponsored pins excluded) |
| `searchQuery`, `observedAt` | The query that found it and when (UTC) |
| `email`, `emails` | First e-mail and all e-mails published on the business's website (homepage, then up to two contact or legal pages when the homepage shows none) |
| `websitePhones` | Phone numbers linked on the website (`tel:` links) |
| `facebookUrl`, `instagramUrl`, `linkedinUrl`, `xUrl`, `youtubeUrl`, `tiktokUrl` | Social profiles linked from the website |
| `contactStatus`, `contactMessage`, `contactPagesChecked`, `contactOptOut` | `FOUND`, `NONE_FOUND`, `NO_WEBSITE`, `PLATFORM_PAGE` (the listed website is a Facebook or Instagram page), `OPTED_OUT` (the site objects to the commercial use of its contacts: none returned) or a loading error; the pages read |

`categoryIds` and `priceLevel` are empty since October 13, 2026: the data source stopped returning them (checked on real runs on October 13 and 14); `category` and `additionalCategories` are unaffected. Missing values are always `null` (lists are empty), never guessed. Each place appears once per query; a chain's website is read once per run.

### Input

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["dentist in Austin, TX", "orthodontist in Austin, TX"],
  "country": "US",
  "maxPlacesPerQuery": 100,
  "contactDetails": true,
  "website": "with",
  "minRating": 0,
  "requirePhone": false
}
```

- **searchQueries**: up to 1,000 per run. Put the city or area in the query, or set **coordinates**.
- **country**: US, GB, CA, AU, IE, IN, DE, AT, CH, FR, BE, ES, MX, IT, NL, PT, BR, PL, SE, JP. **languageCode** (optional) sets the language of categories and labels.
- **maxPlacesPerQuery**: 1 to 700 (default 100).
- **contactDetails** (default on): read each place's website for e-mails, phone links and social profiles. Turn it off to get Google Maps data only.
- **website** (default `with`): only places that list a website, since the others have no site to read. Set `any` to keep every place, `without` to find businesses with no website.
- **coordinates** + **zoom** (optional): search around `"latitude,longitude"`, zoom 11 (city) to 15 (a few streets).
- **Free filters**: `minRating`, `website`, `requirePhone`. Places removed by a filter are never billed.

### How the contacts are found

- At most 3 pages per website (homepage, then up to two contact, imprint or legal pages when the homepage shows no e-mail), without JavaScript, 10 websites at a time, a few seconds each.
- The site's robots.txt is respected. A site that objects to solicitation or to the commercial use of its contact details returns no contact (`OPTED_OUT`) and is not billed.
- Only what the business itself publishes on its website is returned: no guessed e-mails, no personal data from other sources, no verification by sending mail.
- A website listed on Google Maps that is a Facebook or Instagram page is returned as that profile (`PLATFORM_PAGE`), free.

### Pricing

See the **Pricing** tab for current prices, cheaper on higher Apify plans:

- one event per **place returned** (name, address, phone, website, rating, hours, coordinates included);
- one event per **website where contacts were found** (e-mails, phone links or social profiles); places without a website, sites with nothing found, sites that could not be loaded and sites that object to solicitation are free;
- $0.003 per run start.

Searches with no result, duplicates, places removed by your filters and input mistakes cost nothing beyond the start fee. The run never spends more than the maximum cost you set.

**Free Apify plan:** each run returns up to 20 places for up to 2 queries, so you can check the output. A paid Apify plan removes these limits.

### Use it from code, automations or AI agents

**API (one call, results returned directly):**

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/plainrows~google-maps-email-extractor/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"searchQueries": ["dentist in Austin, TX"], "maxPlacesPerQuery": 50}'
```

**n8n, Make, Zapier:** use the Apify integration, pick `plainrows/google-maps-email-extractor`, and map the dataset items to Google Sheets, HubSpot, Airtable or your database.

**AI agents (MCP):** add `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=plainrows/google-maps-email-extractor` to Claude, Cursor or any MCP client. The agent gets a typed tool and pays per result.

### What this is not

- **No guessed or "verified" e-mails** and no personal e-mail lookup: only contacts the business publishes on its own website.
- **No review texts, no reviewer names.** For reviews, see [Google Maps Reviews Scraper](https://apify.com/plainrows/google-maps-reviews).
- You are responsible for how you contact businesses: follow the anti-spam and privacy rules of your country and theirs (for example CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
- Not affiliated with Google.

### Run summary

Each run stores a summary in the key-value store (`OUTPUT`): queries run, queries with no result, places billed, places removed by filters, duplicates and invalid queries, and anything skipped because of the free-plan or budget limit.

### FAQ

**How do I get e-mails of businesses from Google Maps?**
Enter searches such as `dentist in Austin, TX` and run: each place comes with the e-mails, phone links and social profiles published on its website. Download as CSV or Excel from the run page, or send them to Google Sheets or your CRM with n8n, Make or Zapier.

**Why do some places have no e-mail?**
Many small businesses publish only a phone number or a contact form. Those places come back with `contactStatus` `NONE_FOUND`, and you pay only for the place, not for contacts. Sites built entirely with JavaScript can also show no e-mail without a browser.

**How many places can I get per search?**
1 to 700 per search (**maxPlacesPerQuery**). To cover a large city, run several searches by neighbourhood, or search around **coordinates** with a closer **zoom**.

**Do I need proxies, a browser or a Google account?**
No. Places come from a commercial search data API and websites are read directly, so runs are fast.

**Can I get businesses without a website instead?**
Yes: set **website** to `without` (and turn **contactDetails** off): a list of businesses to pitch a website to.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

What you would type in Google Maps, one per line: "plumber in Austin", "coffee shop Berlin Mitte", "dentist 75011 Paris". Put the city or area in the query, or use Coordinates below. Up to 1,000 queries per run.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Country used for the Google Maps search (ignored when Coordinates are set, except for the default language).

## `languageCode` (type: `string`):

Two-letter language code, e.g. "en" or "fr". Leave empty to use the country's main language (for example German for Switzerland, French for Belgium).

## `maxPlacesPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

Google Maps returns up to about 700 places per search. Each place returned is billed; see Pricing.

## `coordinates` (type: `string`):

Center the search on "latitude,longitude", e.g. "40.7128,-74.0060". Useful to search a neighbourhood or a place without a city name in the query.

## `zoom` (type: `integer`):

Map zoom level around the coordinates: 11 = whole city, 13 = district, 15 = a few streets.

## `minRating` (type: `number`):

Keep only places rated at least this (0 = no filter). Filtered places are not billed.

## `website` (type: `string`):

Filter on whether the business lists a website. Filtered places are not billed.

## `requirePhone` (type: `boolean`):

Skip places that list no phone number. Filtered places are not billed.

## `contactDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Also visit each place's website (homepage, and its contact or legal page when the homepage shows no e-mail) and return the e-mails, phone links and social profiles (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok) published there. Billed per website where something was found (once per run, even for a chain), as a separate 'Contact details found' event; places without a website and sites with nothing found are free. Adds a few seconds per place.
