## Kijiji Scraper

Get **listings from kijiji.ca**, Canada's largest classifieds site, from any search: **title, price in CAD, price drop, city and province, posted date, main image, start of the description, dealer or owner, seller rating, and the listing attributes Kijiji gives** (for cars: make, mileage, fuel, transmission and Kijiji's price rating; for real estate: bedrooms, bathrooms…). Type a keyword or paste search URLs copied from kijiji.ca with your city, category, filters and sort order.

Plain HTTP requests, no browser: **no login, no account, no cookies**. The Actor reads only the public search pages, one page at a time per search with a pause between pages, and respects kijiji.ca's robots.txt.

Missing values are always `null`, never guessed. Promoted "top ads" that Kijiji repeats on every page are not returned: you get the real search results, in order. Nothing is collected about private sellers beyond the city of the item (no name, no poster ID, no address, no coordinates). A search without listings (or blocked, or unreadable) gets one free row with `found: false`, a `status` and a `message`.

- **searches**: one per line, up to 100 per run: a keyword (searched in all of Canada, all categories) or a search URL from kijiji.ca. To pick a city, category, price range or sort order, search on the site and copy the address bar.
- **maxResultsPerSearch**: 1 to 800 (default 100). Kijiji shows 40 listings per page; the Actor reads up to 20 pages per search.

Listings found by two of your searches are returned and billed once.

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** The Actor reads only pages anyone can see without an account, at a slow pace, and respects robots.txt. It keeps no personal data about private sellers. Kijiji's terms of use restrict automated access: you are responsible for how you use the data. This is not legal advice.

**Why are some searches empty or BLOCKED?** If Kijiji refuses a request (rate limit or bot check), the Actor stops that search and charges nothing beyond the results already delivered. If this happens after the first page, the run summary warns that the search stopped early and its results are partial. It never solves or bypasses a check. Try again later or with fewer searches per run.

**Can I get the full description, all photos or the seller's phone?** No: the Actor reads the search pages only, and never collects private sellers' contact details. Need another field? Open an issue.
