## Yellow Pages Australia Scraper

Get **Australian business leads from Yellow Pages** (yellowpages.com.au) for any category and city: **business name, phone, website, categories, street address, suburb, state, postcode, rating and number of reviews, years in business, opening hours, short description and slogan, profile link**. Type a category and a location ("plumbers" in "Sydney NSW") or paste search URLs copied from yellowpages.com.au.

Plain HTTP requests, no browser: **no login, no account, no cookies**. The Actor reads only the public search pages, one page at a time per search with a pause between pages, and respects Yellow Pages' robots.txt.

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** The Actor reads only pages anyone can see without an account, at a slow pace, and respects robots.txt. It returns business information as the directory publishes it (business name, business phone, address), nothing about private persons. Yellow Pages' terms of use restrict automated access: you are responsible for how you use the data, including Australia's Spam Act and Do Not Call Register rules for outreach. This is not legal advice.

**Does it return emails?** Yellow Pages search pages do not show emails. Feed the `website` column to our [Website Email Extractor](https://apify.com/plainrows/website-email-extractor).

**Why are some searches empty or BLOCKED?** If Yellow Pages refuses a request (rate limit or bot check), the Actor stops that search and charges nothing beyond the results already delivered. If this happens after the first page, the run summary warns that the search stopped early and its results are partial. It never solves or bypasses a check. Try again later or with fewer searches per run.

**Why NOT_FOUND for my category?** Yellow Pages uses its own category names in URLs (e.g. `plumbers-gasfitters`). Search on the site and paste the URL.

**Why do some businesses have no street address?** Many mobile trades publish only their phone and service area; the Actor never guesses an address.
