## Pricing

from $0.43 / 1,000 app records

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store & Google Play Scraper: App Details, Search and Top Charts

**Collect public app listing data from the Apple App Store and Google Play in one run, in one format.** Give it app IDs or store URLs, keywords to search, or top charts to pull, and get one clean record per app with the developer, website, support email, price, rating, rating histogram, installs, category, version, dates, size, description, screenshots and icon. **$0.70 per 1,000 apps.**

### What can this app store scraper do?

- **Look up apps by ID or URL:** App Store IDs (`324684580`), `apps.apple.com` links, Google Play package names (`com.spotify.music`) or `play.google.com` links. Mix both stores in one list; each entry goes to the right store automatically.
- **Search by keyword** in the App Store, Google Play or both, with each result's search position.
- **Pull top charts:** Top free, Top paid and Top grossing by country, optionally for one Apple genre (for example Games) or Google Play category (for example GAME_PUZZLE), with chart rank.
- **Compare iOS and Android** side by side thanks to one shared output format.

### What data do you get?

| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| App | `store`, `appId`, `bundleId`, `title`, `summary`, `genre`, `genres`, `contentRating`, `containsAds` |
| Developer | `developer`, `developerId`, `sellerName`, `developerWebsite`, `developerEmail` (Play), `developerUrl`, `privacyPolicyUrl` |
| Price | `price`, `currency`, `priceText`, `free`, `offersInAppPurchases`, `inAppPurchaseRange` |
| Ratings | `rating`, `ratingCount`, `reviewCount`, `ratingHistogram` (Play), `currentVersionRating`, `currentVersionRatingCount` |
| Reach | `installs`, `minInstalls`, `maxInstalls` (Play) |
| Versions | `version`, `lastUpdated`, `releaseDate`, `sizeBytes`, `minOsVersion`, `languages`, `releaseNotes` |
| Media | `description`, `icon`, `headerImage`, `screenshots` |

Fields a store does not publish are `null` (for example, Apple's public API has no installs, histogram or support email, and Google Play no longer shows app size).

### Who uses it?

- **App marketers and ASO specialists** tracking competitors' ratings, prices and update frequency.
- **Mobile publishers and investors** scanning top charts across countries.
- **Agencies and B2B sales teams** building lists of app publishers with website and support contact.
- **Analysts** monitoring categories over time.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** (or **Start**).
2. Add **App IDs or URLs**, and/or **Keyword search** terms, and/or **Top charts**.
3. Choose **Store**, **Country** and **Max apps per search / chart**.
4. Run it and export to Excel, CSV or JSON.
5. Schedule a weekly run to keep a history of charts and ratings.

### How much does it cost?

**$0.70 per 1,000 app records** ($0.0007 each), plus a $0.00005 start fee per run. Searches and charts have no separate fee.

| You get | You pay |
|---|---|
| Top 200 grossing apps in one country, both stores (400) | $0.28 |
| Details for 1,000 competitor apps | $0.70 |
| Weekly top-200 charts in 5 countries for a month | about $5.60 |

Apps not available in the chosen country are skipped and not charged.

**Volume discounts on higher Apify plans.** The prices above are for the Apify Free plan. On paid plans the per-result price drops automatically: about 15% lower on Bronze, 25% lower on Silver and 38% lower on Gold and above.

### Use it via API, Make, Zapier, n8n or an AI agent

**Apify API.** Start a run and get the results back in one HTTP request (replace `YOUR_API_TOKEN` with the token from Apify Console > Settings > Integrations):

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/plotpointtech~app-details/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"apps": ["com.spotify.music", "324684580"], "searchTerms": ["habit tracker"], "charts": ["topGrossing"], "store": "both", "country": "us", "maxApps": 20}'
```

For longer jobs, start the run asynchronously and read the dataset when it finishes. Official `apify-client` libraries exist for Python and JavaScript; the **API** tab on this page has ready-made code.

**No-code automation.** Connect the tool to **Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack, Airtable** or any webhook with Apify integrations, and use **Schedules** in Apify Console to run it hourly, daily or weekly.

**AI agents (MCP).** Give Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP-compatible agent direct access to this tool through the hosted Apify MCP server. Add this server URL to your client:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=plotpointtech/app-details
```

The agent can then call the tool with the same input fields shown above and read the results.

### FAQ

**Is it legal to scrape app store listings?**
The tool reads public listing data: Apple's public iTunes Search/Lookup API and RSS chart feeds, and Google Play's public app, search and chart pages, without logging in. Developer support emails are published by Google Play on each listing; if you use them for outreach you are responsible for complying with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL and other laws, including honouring opt-outs.

**How many apps does a keyword search return?**
Google Play search returns about 20 to 30 apps per keyword. Apple search and charts return up to 200.

**Why are installs missing for iOS apps?**
Apple does not publish installs, a rating histogram or a support email in its public data.

**Can I get reviews too?**
Yes, with our App Store Reviews Scraper and Google Play Reviews Scraper.

**Which countries are supported?**
Any store country, by two-letter code (`us`, `gb`, `de`, `jp`, `br`...). Prices, ratings and charts are per country.

## `appleGenreId` (type: `string`):

Limit Apple top charts to one genre.

## `googleCategory` (type: `string`):

Limit Google Play top charts to one category.
