## Pricing

from $3.10 / 1,000 tenders

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Government Tenders Scraper: EU TED, UK & Canada Public Contracts

**Find public-sector contracts to bid on from four official procurement portals, in one clean format.** This government tenders scraper pulls new contract notices from EU TED, UK Find a Tender, UK Contracts Finder and CanadaBuys, keeps only tenders that are still open, and gives every notice the same fields: title, buyer, country, deadline, estimated value, category codes and a link to the official notice.

| Source | Coverage |
|---|---|
| **EU – TED (Tenders Electronic Daily)** | Contract notices from all EU member states and the wider European Economic Area |
| **UK – Find a Tender** | UK public contracts, including those under the Procurement Act 2023 |
| **UK – Contracts Finder** | Lower-value UK public contracts in England |
| **Canada – CanadaBuys** | Open federal tenders from the Government of Canada |

### What can this tenders scraper do?

- **Search four portals at once** with the same keywords, or pick just the ones you need.
- **Keep only live opportunities:** tenders whose bid deadline has passed are removed by default.
- **Filter by keyword and exclusion words** across title, description and category names. EU searches run on TED's own full-text index, so they also catch notices in other languages tagged with your term.
- **Filter EU tenders by buyer country** (DEU, FRA, IRL, NLD and so on) and by **minimum estimated value**.
- **Balance results:** when several sources are selected, results are interleaved so one portal does not crowd out the others.

### What data do you get?

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `source`, `noticeId`, `title`, `description` | The notice and where it came from |
| `buyerName`, `buyerCountry`, `buyerRegion` | The contracting authority |
| `publishedDate`, `deadline` | Publication date and bid deadline |
| `estimatedValue`, `currency` | Estimated contract value, where published |
| `categoryCodes`, `categories` | CPV or UNSPSC codes with descriptions |
| `noticeType`, procedure and contact fields | Notice details and buyer contact, where published |
| `url` | Link to the official notice |

### Who uses it?

- **Companies that sell to government** looking for new bids in their field every morning.
- **Bid writers and consultants** monitoring opportunities for several clients.
- **Market researchers** tracking public spending by sector and country.

2. Choose your **Sources** and **Days back** (default 3).
3. Add **Keywords** such as `software`, `cleaning`, `construction`, and any **Exclude keywords**.
4. Run it and export to Excel, CSV or JSON.

  "language": "en"
}
```
### How much does it cost?
Pay per tender returned: **$5 per 1,000 tenders** ($0.005 each), plus a $0.00005 start fee per run. No separate compute charges.
| You get | You pay |
|---|---|
| 50 matching tenders a day for a month (1,500) | $7.50 |
| 200 tenders in one run | $1.00 |
| 1,000 tenders | $5.00 |
Use **Maximum results** to cap each run. Apify's free plan includes monthly credits to try it.
### Use it via API, Make, Zapier, n8n or an AI agent
**Apify API.** Start a run and get the results back in one HTTP request (replace `YOUR_API_TOKEN` with the token from Apify Console > Settings > Integrations):
```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/plotpointtech~government-tenders-feed/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"sources": ["eu", "uk_fts", "uk_cf", "canada"], "daysBack": 3, "keywords": ["software", "cloud", "IT services"], "onlyOpen": true, "maxResults": 200}'
```
For longer jobs, start the run asynchronously and read the dataset when it finishes. Official `apify-client` libraries exist for Python and JavaScript; the **API** tab on this page has ready-made code.
**No-code automation.** Connect the tool to **Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack, Airtable** or any webhook with Apify integrations, and use **Schedules** in Apify Console to run it hourly, daily or weekly.
**AI agents (MCP).** Give Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP-compatible agent direct access to this tool through the hosted Apify MCP server. Add this server URL to your client:
```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=plotpointtech/government-tenders-feed
```
The agent can then call the tool with the same input fields shown above and read the results.
### FAQ
**Is it legal to use this tender data?**
Yes. All data comes from official open-data services that publish procurement notices for reuse, under open licences such as the UK Open Government Licence. Plot Point Technologies is not affiliated with any of these portals.
**Why is the estimated value empty for many tenders?**
Buyers publish values at their discretion, and many do not. Setting a **Minimum estimated value** drops tenders without a published value.
**Are EU notices in English?**
Many are written in the buyer's language. Titles include an English summary of the category, and keyword search on TED also matches notices tagged with your term in other languages.
**Can I get US federal (SAM.gov) tenders?**
Not at the moment. Coverage is the EU/EEA, the UK and Canada.
**How do I get only new tenders each day?**
Schedule a daily run with Days back = 1. Each run returns notices published in that window.
