## Pricing

from $0.93 / 1,000 page captures

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Screenshot & PDF API: Full Page, Mobile and Bulk

**Capture any public web page as a PNG or JPEG screenshot, full page or visible screen only, or save it as a print-ready PDF.** Pages are opened in a real Chromium browser, so modern JavaScript sites render as visitors see them. Each file is stored with the run and returned with a direct download link, page title, final URL, HTTP status, image size and file size.

### What can this screenshot tool do?

- **Capture in bulk:** many URLs per run, two at a time by default.
- **Full page or viewport**, in **PNG, JPEG or PDF** (A4, Letter, Legal, A3, Tabloid, portrait or landscape).
- **Device sizes:** Desktop 1920x1080, Laptop 1366x768, Tablet 768x1024, Mobile 390x844 (tablet and mobile load the mobile layout), or any custom width and height.
- **Capture one element** with a CSS selector such as `#pricing`.
- **Clean captures:** hide common cookie banners with CSS (nothing is clicked or accepted), add custom CSS to hide chat widgets, scroll first so lazy images load.
- **Control timing:** wait for network idle, load or HTML ready, plus an extra delay.
- **Skip error pages** (HTTP errors and bot-check screens) so you do not pay for them.

### What data do you get?

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `url`, `finalUrl`, `httpStatus`, `pageTitle` | The page captured |
| `format`, `device`, `fullPage`, `selector` | Capture settings |
| `width`, `height`, `fileSizeBytes` | Image size and file size |
| `fileKey`, `fileUrl` | Key in the run's key-value store and a direct download link |
| `capturedAt` | Time of capture (UTC) |

### Who uses it?

- **Marketing and SEO teams** archiving landing pages and competitor pages over time.
- **Agencies and QA teams** checking how sites look on desktop, tablet and mobile.
- **Compliance and legal teams** keeping dated visual records of pages, terms or ads.
- **Developers and AI agents** that need an image or PDF of a page inside an automated workflow.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** (or **Start**).
2. Add **Page URLs**.
3. Pick **Output format**, **Full page** and **Device size**.
4. Run it and open each `fileUrl`, or download all files from the run's storage.
5. Schedule daily runs to build a visual history of key pages.

### Input example

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    {
      "url": "https://apify.com"
    },
    {
      "url": "https://www.wikipedia.org"
    }
  ],
  "format": "png",
  "fullPage": true,
  "device": "mobile",
  "hideCookieBanners": true
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "url": "https://apify.com",
  "finalUrl": "https://apify.com/",
  "httpStatus": 200,
  "pageTitle": "Apify: Marketplace of ready-to-run tools for AI",
  "format": "png",
  "device": "desktop",
  "fullPage": true,
  "selector": null,
  "width": 1920,
  "height": 10000,
  "fileSizeBytes": 1230943,
  "fileKey": "apify.com-ae015be550.png",
  "fileUrl": "https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/QvZ3OT88RU4cPZsgF/records/apify.com-ae015be550.png?signature=1zQtVSuhzUgeROTsic7H5",
  "capturedAt": "2026-10-28T14:35:49Z"
}
```

### How much does it cost?

**$1.50 per 1,000 pages captured** ($0.0015 each), browser time included, plus a $0.00005 start fee per run.

| You capture | You pay |
|---|---|
| 100 pages | $0.15 |
| 1,000 pages on desktop and mobile (2,000 captures) | $3.00 |
| 10,000 pages | $15.00 |

Pages that fail to load, return an HTTP error or show a bot-check screen are skipped and not charged.

**Volume discounts on higher Apify plans.** The prices above are for the Apify Free plan. On paid plans the per-result price drops automatically: about 15% lower on Bronze, 25% lower on Silver and 38% lower on Gold and above.

### Use it via API, Make, Zapier, n8n or an AI agent

**Apify API.** Start a run and get the results back in one HTTP request (replace `YOUR_API_TOKEN` with the token from Apify Console > Settings > Integrations):

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/plotpointtech~website-screenshot-pdf-generator/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"startUrls": [{"url": "https://apify.com"}, {"url": "https://www.wikipedia.org"}], "format": "png", "fullPage": true, "device": "mobile", "hideCookieBanners": true}'
```

For longer jobs, start the run asynchronously and read the dataset when it finishes. Official `apify-client` libraries exist for Python and JavaScript; the **API** tab on this page has ready-made code.

**No-code automation.** Connect the tool to **Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack, Airtable** or any webhook with Apify integrations, and use **Schedules** in Apify Console to run it hourly, daily or weekly.

**AI agents (MCP).** Give Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP-compatible agent direct access to this tool through the hosted Apify MCP server. Add this server URL to your client:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=plotpointtech/website-screenshot-pdf-generator
```

The agent can then call the tool with the same input fields shown above and read the results.

### FAQ

**Is it legal to take screenshots of websites?**
Capturing public pages for archiving, QA, monitoring or research is common practice. The tool does not log in or bypass bot protection or paywalls. Respect each website's terms of use and copyright when you use or publish captures.

**How long are files kept?**
According to your Apify storage retention settings. Download anything you need to keep long term.

**Why is a long page cut off?**
Full-page captures stop at the maximum height (default 10,000 px) to keep files manageable. Raise it if you need more.

**Will cookie banners always be hidden?**
Most common ones are. Unusual consent screens may still appear; use Custom CSS to hide anything left.

**Can I call it from my app or an AI agent?**
Yes. Use the API or the MCP server below and read the returned `fileUrl`.
