## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Advertisers List by Industry and Country

Get a **list of companies advertising on Google** in the industries and countries you choose. Each one is a
**company advertiser that Google verified** and lists in its **Ads Transparency Center**, and the Actor **checks it
live for a recent ad** when you run it, so you get only advertisers with a recent ad. To try it, keep the prefilled
input (Software and SaaS in the US, 10 advertisers) and click Start: 10 advertisers cost US$0.05.

It builds lead lists for agencies looking for clients that already buy ads, for sales teams that build account lists
by industry, and for market research on who advertises where.

1. **152 industries** based on NAICS 2022, from dentists and law firms to software and SaaS.
2. **About 800,000 company advertisers in 203 countries**, about 170,000 of them in the United States.
3. **A live check on every run**: an advertiser is returned only when Google showed one of its ads within the days
   you choose (30 by default).
4. **Largest advertisers first**, by Google's ad count.
5. **Pay per advertiser returned**: US$5 per 1,000. Inactive advertisers are not charged.
6. **The Apify platform**: start it in Apify Console or through the Apify API, run it on a schedule, and connect it
   to your other tools with Apify integrations.

### What you get

One row per company advertiser that Google showed an ad of within **Active within days** (`activeWithinDays`).

| Field                        | What it holds                                                                    |
| ---------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `advertiserName` | The company name Google verified, with its company form such as Inc, LLC or GmbH |
| `advertiserId`               | Google's advertiser id                                                           |
| `country` | The two-letter code of the country where Google verified the advertiser |
| `industry`, `industryName` | Its industry id and name, empty when unclassified |
| `industryConfidence`         | How sure the industry label is: `high` or `medium`                               |
| `adsCountMin`, `adsCountMax` | Google's range of the advertiser's ad count                                      |
| `lastAdShown` | When its most recent ad was last shown |
| `lastAdFormat`               | That ad's format: `text`, `image` or `video`                                     |
| `domain` | A landing domain of its ads, known for about 1,000 advertisers |
| `advertiserUrl` | Its page on the Ads Transparency Center |
| `checkedAt`                  | When the run started                                                             |
| `indexAsOf` | The date of the advertiser index |

Each run that reads the index also writes a `SUMMARY` record, at no charge: how many advertisers matched in the
index, how many were checked, returned or inactive, and whether the maximum charge or the timeout stopped the run.

### How to use it

1. Pick one or more industries in **Industries**. Leave it empty for every industry, unclassified advertisers
   included.
2. Add countries in **Countries** as two-letter codes such as US, GB or DE, or leave it empty for every country.
3. Set **Active within days**, 30 by default: an advertiser is returned only when Google showed one of its ads within
   that many days.
4. Set **Maximum advertisers**, up to 10,000 per run (50 by default).
5. Click Start. Rows appear in the run's dataset as the checks end; download it in the format you need, such as CSV
   or JSON.

### Input example

```json
{
  "industries": ["dentists", "medical-aesthetics"],
  "countries": ["US", "CA"],
  "activeWithinDays": 14,
  "maxAdvertisers": 200
}
```

This asks for up to 200 dentists, med spas and cosmetic surgery clinics in the US and Canada that showed a Google ad
in the last 14 days. The ids of every industry are in the industry list at the end of this page.

### Output example

```json
{
  "advertiserId": "AR00117549887637159937",
  "advertiserName": "airSlate, Inc.",
  "country": "US",
  "industry": "software-saas",
  "industryName": "Software and SaaS",
  "industryConfidence": "high",
  "adsCountMin": 80000,
  "adsCountMax": 90000,
  "domain": "airslate.com",
  "lastAdShown": "2026-10-27T01:25:16Z",
  "lastAdFormat": "text",
  "advertiserUrl": "https://adstransparency.google.com/advertiser/AR00117549887637159937?region=anywhere",
  "checkedAt": "2026-10-27T01:48:22Z",
  "indexAsOf": "2026-10-27"
}
```

Rows come in the order the checks end, which is roughly the most ads first.

### Pricing

You pay per advertiser returned: **US$5 per 1,000 advertisers** (US$0.005 each) on every Apify plan. Apify adds a
start fee of US$0.00005 per run at the default memory of 1 GB.

You are not charged for:

1. Advertisers that were checked but showed no ad within your **Active within days**.
2. Checks that Google refused or did not answer.
3. A run that fails because the input is wrong, the index cannot be read, the proxy cannot be reached or Google
   refused every check. The start fee still applies.
4. Advertisers that a restarted run had already returned: when Apify moves a run to another server, they are not
   checked or charged again.

Set a maximum charge per run and the Actor never returns more advertisers than it covers.

#### How much does it cost to get 1,000 Google advertisers?

US$5. More examples:

| Advertisers returned      | Price   |
| ------------------------- | ------- |
| 10 (the prefilled input)  | US$0.05 |
| 100                       | US$0.50 |
| 1,000                     | US$5    |
| 10,000 (the most per run) | US$50   |

Apify's free plan comes with US$5 of credit each month, which buys about 1,000 advertisers.

### Coverage and limits

1. The index of 2026-10-27 holds about 800,000 company advertisers in 203 countries, each with at least 4 ads on
   Google. Its date is in `indexAsOf`; each advertiser's latest ad is checked live on every run.
2. Coverage is partial. The search that built the index found about half of an estimated 2.7 million company
   advertisers on Google, and the index keeps the ones with the most ads. An advertiser you know may be missing.
3. About 490,000 advertisers have an industry. The others are unclassified and come back only when you leave
   **Industries** empty.
4. Industries were labeled once by a language model from each advertiser's verified name, its country and, when
   known, its domain. In a hand check, 42 of 45 labels were right and 3 were near misses. Small companies with opaque
   names may be unclassified or, now and then, labeled wrong.
5. A landing domain is known for about 1,000 advertisers only; `domain` is empty for the rest.
6. Companies only: every advertiser carries a company form in its verified name, such as Inc, LLC, Ltd, GmbH or S.A.
   People, advertisers without a company form and political advertisers are not in the index. Turkish forms such as
   Ltd. Şti. and A.Ş. are not recognized, so those companies are missing.
7. Up to 10,000 advertisers per run. A run starts no new check in its last 5 minutes (it times out after 30 minutes
   by default). When `timeCut` in the `SUMMARY` record is true, the timeout stopped the run: raise it in the run
   options to get more.
8. Google sometimes refuses automated reads. The Actor then tries other connections; a run where no advertiser could
   be checked fails and charges nothing but Apify's start fee.
9. No ad images, videos or ad text: only facts about each advertiser and links to Google's own pages.

### FAQ

#### How do I get a list of companies advertising on Google?

Pick the industries and countries, set how many advertisers you want and start the Actor. It returns the company
advertisers from Google's Ads Transparency Center that showed an ad within the days you chose, largest first.

#### How do I know an advertiser is still advertising?

Each one is checked live when the run reaches it. `lastAdShown` says when its latest ad was last shown, and only
advertisers within **Active within days** are returned and charged.

#### Does it cover every Google advertiser?

No. The index holds about 800,000 company advertisers, the ones with the most ads among those its search found.
Coverage is partial, so an advertiser you know may be missing.

#### Why did I get fewer advertisers than I asked for?

Fewer may match your industries and countries, some were checked and found inactive (not charged), Google may have
refused some checks, or the maximum charge or the timeout stopped the run. The run's status message and the
`SUMMARY` record give the counts.

#### Does it return websites, emails or phone numbers?

It returns a landing domain for about 1,000 advertisers only, and no emails, phone numbers or names of people. Each
row holds the company's verified name, its id, country, industry, ad counts, dates and a link to its page on the Ads
Transparency Center.

#### How are the industries defined?

There are 152, based on NAICS 2022 and split where advertisers crowd, such as dentists, law firms, plumbing and HVAC,
med spas and tutoring. Each advertiser has one industry, labeled once. The full list is at the end of this page.

#### Which countries can I pick?

Any two-letter ISO 3166-1 code, such as US, GB, DE or BR. The country is the one where Google verified the
advertiser. The index covers 203 countries.

#### Can I run it on a schedule or from my own code?

Yes, as any Apify Actor: schedule it in Apify Console, start it through the Apify API, or connect it to your tools
with Apify integrations. The input is the same JSON as in the input example.

#### Where does the data come from?

From Google's Ads Transparency Center. The list of advertisers was gathered from its advertiser search and labeled
once with an industry; the latest ad of each advertiser is read there live when you run the Actor.

# Actor input Schema

## `industries` (type: `array`):

The industries to search: 152, based on NAICS 2022. Leave empty for every industry, including advertisers with no industry. Each advertiser has one industry, labeled once from its verified name, its country and, when known, its domain.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Two-letter ISO 3166-1 codes of the country where Google verified the advertiser, such as US, GB or DE. Leave empty for every country.

## `activeWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Return an advertiser only when Google showed one of its ads within this many days. Each advertiser is checked live when the run reaches it; inactive ones are skipped and not charged.

## `maxAdvertisers` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many advertisers, up to 10,000 per run. They come largest first, by Google's ad count. You pay per advertiser returned.

}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `advertisers` (type: `string`):
One row per advertiser returned. Each row is one advertiser charge.
## `summary` (type: `string`):
Matches in the index and the result of the live checks. Free.
