## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Enrichment: Domain to Emails, Phones, Socials & Tech Stack

**Company Enrichment** turns a list of **domains** into **ready-to-use company profiles**: business emails, phone numbers, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X pages, tech stack, logo, address and, for French companies, **SIREN, SIRET and VAT number** read from the legal notice.

- ✅ **No LinkedIn account, no cookies, no risk of ban**: it only reads the company's own public website.
- 🌍 Works on **any website**, with extra depth for French and European companies.
- 💸 **You only pay for domains that were successfully enriched.** Unreachable domains are listed for free.

### Who is it for?

- **Sales and growth teams**: enrich a CRM or lead list that only has websites.
- **Agencies**: qualify prospects by technology, e.g. every Shopify store using Klaviyo.
- **KYC and B2B data teams**: match websites to French company records (SIREN, SIRET, VAT).
- **Scraper users**: pair it with Google Maps or directory scrapers that return websites but no emails.

### How much does it cost?

You pay **$4 per 1,000 enriched domains** (see the *Pricing* tab for the exact price). Domains that cannot be reached are free.

| Use case | Domains | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Quick test | 10 | $0.04 |
| Enrich a lead list | 1,000 | $4 |
| Enrich a full CRM | 10,000 | $40 |

Apify's free plan includes monthly credits, which are enough to test the Actor on a few hundred domains.

### How to enrich a list of domains

1. Paste your **domains or URLs** (`apify.com`, `https://www.doctolib.fr` and even emails like `jane@acme.fr` are accepted).
2. Set **Max pages per domain** (5 is a good balance between depth and speed).
3. Click **Start**, then download the profiles as Excel, CSV or JSON, or send them to your CRM.

```json
{ "domains": ["apify.com", "https://www.doctolib.fr", "jane@acme.fr"], "maxPagesPerDomain": 5 }
```

### What data do you get?

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `companyName` | ACME SAS |
| `primaryEmail` / `emails` | contact@acme.fr (generic inboxes on the company domain ranked first) |
| `phones` | +33123456789 (normalized E.164) |
| `socials`, `linkedin` | linkedin.com/company/acme, facebook.com/acmefr… |
| `technologies` | Shopify, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot, Stripe, Cloudflare… (35+ signatures) |
| `siren`, `siret`, `vatNumber`, `rcsCity` | 732829320, 73282932000074, FR40732829320, Paris (checksum-validated) |
| `address`, `logo`, `foundingDate`, `employees` | from schema.org data when the site publishes it |
| `title`, `description`, `language` | website metadata |
| `status`, `pagesVisited` | `OK` or `UNREACHABLE`, and the pages that were read |

### How it works

For every domain the Actor loads the home page, then the most useful internal pages (legal notice first, then contact, about, team), up to *Max pages per domain*. It decodes obfuscated emails (`contact [at] acme [dot] com`, Cloudflare protection), filters out junk addresses (no-reply, tracking, image files, example addresses) and validates French identifiers with the Luhn checksum.

### Integrations and API

- Run it from your code with the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2) or the JavaScript and Python clients.
- Connect it to **Google Sheets, HubSpot, Make, Zapier or n8n** with [integrations](https://docs.apify.com/platform/integrations).
- AI agents can find and run it through the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/platform/integrations/mcp).

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_API_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("<username>/company-enrichment").call(run_input={"domains": ["apify.com", "doctolib.fr"]})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item["domain"], item["primaryEmail"], item["siren"])
```

### FAQ

**Why is there no SIREN for some French companies?** Some sites publish their legal notice as a PDF or render it with JavaScript only. The SIREN is only returned when it is found on the site and passes the checksum.

**Does it find personal emails?** It returns the emails published on the site, generic inboxes first. It does not guess or verify personal addresses.

**Is it legal? (GDPR)** The Actor collects information that companies publish on their own websites. Generic business contacts (contact@, info@, switchboard numbers) are generally fine for B2B prospecting, but if you collect named personal emails you are responsible for complying with GDPR and local anti-spam rules (opt-out, legitimate interest, no sensitive data).

**Do I need proxies?** Usually not. Enable Apify Proxy for very large lists.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Company domains (acme.com), website URLs or even email addresses (the domain is used).

## `maxPagesPerDomain` (type: `integer`):

Home page plus the best contact, legal notice and about pages. More pages = more contacts found, slower runs.

## `includeTechnologies` (type: `boolean`):

Detect CMS, e-commerce platform, analytics, chat and payment tools used on the website.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. Helps with websites that block datacenter IPs.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "domains": [
    "apify.com",
    "doctolib.fr"
  ],
  "maxPagesPerDomain": 5,
  "includeTechnologies": true,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One company profile per domain: emails, phones, social links, tech stack, address and French legal identifiers, shown in the overview table.
