## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## HelloWork Jobs Scraper: French Jobs & Salaries

**HelloWork Jobs Scraper** turns HelloWork, one of the largest French job boards, into a clean dataset of job offers: title, company, city, contract type, **salary parsed into numbers**, full description and link. You can add **any other job page** that publishes schema.org data (company career pages, many ATS). Offers found on several pages are **merged**.

### Why this Actor?

- 🇫🇷 **French job market**: HelloWork lists offers from all over France, in every sector.
- 🧹 **Clean data**: one schema for every source, duplicates merged with all source URLs kept.
- 💶 **Usable salaries**: when the offer shows a salary, you get `{ min, max, period, yearlyMin, yearlyMax }` instead of free text.
- 📄 **Normalized contracts**: CDI, CDD, INTERIM, ALTERNANCE, STAGE, FREELANCE, SAISONNIER, read from the offer page.
- 🔓 **No account needed**: public pages only, no login, no API key.

### Who is it for?

- **Recruiters and HR analysts**: salary benchmarks by job, city and contract.
- **B2B sales teams**: hiring signals, e.g. which companies are hiring developers in Lyon this week.
- **Job boards and newsletters**: feed niche boards with fresh offers every day.
- **Researchers**: labour-market studies and dashboards.

### How much does it cost?

You pay **$1 per 1,000 job offers** in the output (see the *Pricing* tab for the exact price).

| Use case | Offers | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Quick test | 20 | $0.02 |
| Daily feed for one job and city | 200 | $0.20 |
| Full extraction for a region | 5,000 | $5 |

Apify's free plan includes monthly credits, which are enough to test the Actor.

### How to scrape HelloWork job offers

1. Type your **keywords** (job title or skills) and a **location** (city or region).
2. Pick the **contract types** and how recent the offers must be.
3. Optionally paste **extra job page URLs** from other sites that publish schema.org JobPosting data.
4. Click **Start**, then download the offers as Excel, CSV or JSON.
5. [Schedule](https://docs.apify.com/platform/schedules) it daily with *Posted within* = 1 to get only new offers.

### Integrations and API

- Run it from your code with the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2) or the JavaScript and Python clients.
- Send new offers to **Google Sheets, Slack, Airtable, Make, Zapier or n8n** with [integrations](https://docs.apify.com/platform/integrations).
- AI agents can find and run it through the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/platform/integrations/mcp).

### FAQ

**Do all offers have a salary?** No: only offers whose employer published one. In our tests, a bit more than half of HelloWork offers had a salary.

**Can I add other job boards?** Yes: paste offer URLs from any site that publishes schema.org JobPosting data in JSON-LD (company career pages, many ATS) in *Extra job page URLs*.

**Can I add France Travail offers?** Only if you have approved access to the France Travail *Offres d'emploi* API, which is no longer self-service. Then add `francetravail` to *Sources* and paste your client ID and secret (stored encrypted).

**Do I need proxies?** Not for small runs. Use a proxy for large HelloWork runs.

**Is it legal?** The Actor reads public offer pages and their structured data, without login. You are responsible for how you use the data (GDPR for any personal data).
