## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does ATS Job Feed do?

It returns **every open job** from company career sites, straight from the applicant tracking system (ATS) behind them. Give it a list of companies in whatever form you have:

- a job board URL: `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp`, `boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `jobs.lever.co/palantir`
- a company website: `notion.so`, `https://careers.bunq.com`
- a company name: `Hugging Face`
- an explicit board: `greenhouse:airbnb`, `lever-eu:company`

It finds the ATS, pulls the live postings from its public job-board API, and returns one clean, normalised record per job.

**Supported ATS platforms:** Greenhouse, Lever (US and EU), Ashby, Workable, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, Personio, Breezy HR.

### Why use it?

- **Job-market and hiring-signal data.** See who is hiring, for what, where, and at what salary, straight from the source with no aggregator lag.
- **Sales triggers.** A company opening five data-engineering roles is a lead. Schedule the Actor daily with **Only new jobs** and pipe new postings into your CRM, Slack or Sheets.
- **Job boards and newsletters.** Build a niche job board from a curated list of companies.
- **AI agents.** One call answers "what roles is X hiring for right now?"

### How to use it

```json
{
  "companies": ["https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp", "greenhouse:airbnb", "Hugging Face", "notion.so"],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "locations": ["London", "Remote"],
  "postedWithinDays": 30,
  "includeDescription": true
}
```

**Daily feed of new jobs:** add `"onlyNew": true, "monitorName": "my-watchlist"`, save it as a task, and schedule it. Each run returns only postings it hasn't returned before, and you only pay for those.

### Output example

```json
{
  "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud",
  "company": "ramp",
  "ats": "ashby",
  "boardSlug": "ramp",
  "jobId": "34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "team": "Backend",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ)",
  "locations": ["New York, NY (HQ)", "Remote (Canada)", "Remote (US)", "Miami, FL"],
  "country": "USA",
  "remote": true,
  "workplaceType": "hybrid",
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "salary": { "min": 211400, "max": 290600, "currency": "USD", "period": "1 YEAR", "text": "$211.4K – $290.6K • Offers Equity" },
  "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35.753Z",
  "updatedAt": null,
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245/application",
  "description": "ABOUT RAMP\n\nRamp is building the smart infrastructure for fi…",
  "query": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp",
  "detectedVia": "url",
  "retrievedAt": "2026-10-15T09:20:23.869Z"
}
```

Fields an ATS doesn't publish are `null`. For example, Greenhouse has no salary field, and Breezy's public feed has no descriptions. `detectedVia` tells you how the board was found:

| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `explicit` | You gave the board as `ats:slug`. |
| `url` | You gave a job-board URL. |
| `website` | The board was linked from the company's website. |
| `probe` | The company name matched a board slug. |

For `probe` results, check `company` or the URL is the company you meant.

The run's `SUMMARY` record lists which board was found for each company and which companies had no supported board.

### Use it from code, Make, Zapier or an AI agent

Run it with one HTTP call and get the results back as JSON:

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/postatelier~ats-job-feed/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=$APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "companies": ["https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp", "greenhouse:airbnb"], "titleKeywords": ["engineer"] }'
```

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("postatelier/ats-job-feed").call(run_input={ "companies": ["https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp", "greenhouse:airbnb"], "titleKeywords": ["engineer"] })
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```

It also works from Make, Zapier, n8n and Google Sheets through Apify's integrations. AI agents can call it as a tool through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com), with the Actor name `postatelier/ats-job-feed`.

### Pricing

Pay per event:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Job returned | **$0.001** ($1 per 1,000 jobs) |

Filters are applied before charging. Jobs skipped by monitoring and companies with no board are free. Apify's free plan includes $5 of monthly credit, which covers about 5,000 jobs.

### Privacy

This Actor returns job postings, not people:

- It never copies the recruiter, hiring-manager or "creator" fields some ATSs expose.
- It never outputs application mailbox addresses.
- Inside description text, e-mail addresses and phone numbers are replaced with `[email removed]` / `[phone removed]`.
- Lines that introduce a contact person ("Your contact: …", "Ansprechpartnerin: …") are replaced with `[contact details removed]`. This is pattern-based, so it's best effort for free-text descriptions. Turn descriptions off if you need none at all.

### Good to know

- **Data source:** the public job-board APIs each ATS provides for publishing a company's openings, the same data the company's own careers page shows.
- **Not supported yet:** Workday, iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors, BambooHR and Teamtailor. If a company uses one of these, it's reported as not found. Tell us which ones you need.
- **Name matching:** when you give only a name, the Actor tries it as a board slug on each ATS ("Hugging Face" → `huggingface`). Giving the careers URL is always more precise.
- **Volume:** very large boards (SmartRecruiters companies with 5,000+ postings) are capped at `maxJobsPerCompany`.

### FAQ

**How fresh is the data?** It's live: fetched from the ATS at run time.

**Why is a company "not found"?** It uses an ATS we don't support yet, or its own careers system. Try the careers page URL. If you can see a supported ATS link there, open an issue.

**Something broke?** Open an issue. Every supported ATS is health-checked daily against a live board, and we aim to fix problems within a day.
