## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Indeed Jobs Scraper

Scrape **Indeed job listings** by keyword and location in 10 countries: job title, company, company rating, location, **structured salary (min / max / hourly or yearly)**, job types, benefits, schedules, posted date, remote, easy apply, sponsored flag and job URL. For job-market research, salary benchmarking, recruiting and lead generation.

### Why this scraper

- **Structured salary** — not just text: `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryPeriod`, `salaryCurrency`.
- **Benefits & schedules** extracted per job.
- **Deduplicated** — every job appears once per search.
- **Pay only for jobs delivered** — empty searches are free.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `queries` | Job titles / keywords (Indeed's "What" box) |
| `location` | City, state, ZIP or "Remote"; empty = whole country |
| `country` | US, GB, CA, AU, IN, DE, FR, IE, NZ, SG |
| `maxJobsPerQuery` | Up to 200 |
| `postedWithinDays`, `radius`, `sortByDate`, `skipSponsored` | Filters |

### How many jobs per search?

Indeed shows anonymous visitors only the first page of results. This scraper combines sort orders and filters (newest, job types, experience levels) to collect **typically 60-120 unique jobs per search**. For more, add more locations or keyword variations (e.g. "registered nurse", "RN", "ICU nurse").

### Output

```json
{"jobId": "1d9d5ad6081ee5e0", "title": "Data Analyst", "company": "Acme", "companyRating": 3.9,
 "location": "Austin, TX 78702", "city": "Austin", "state": "TX", "isRemote": false,
 "salaryText": "$75,000 - $95,000 a year", "salaryMin": 75000, "salaryMax": 95000, "salaryPeriod": "yearly",
 "jobTypes": ["Full-time"], "benefits": ["Health insurance", "401(k)"], "schedules": ["Monday to Friday"],
 "postedAt": "2026-10-13", "urgentlyHiring": false, "easyApply": true, "isSponsored": false,
 "url": "https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=1d9d5ad6081ee5e0"}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: one charge per job returned.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

What you'd type in Indeed's 'What' box: job title, keywords or company.

## `location` (type: `string`):

City, state, ZIP or 'Remote'. Leave empty for the whole country.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Which Indeed site to search.

## `maxJobsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `string`):

Only jobs posted in this period.

## `radius` (type: `integer`):

Search radius around the location. Leave empty for Indeed's default (25).

## `sortByDate` (type: `boolean`):

Sort by date instead of relevance.

## `skipSponsored` (type: `boolean`):

Leave out paid/promoted listings.
