## Pricing

from $2.99 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Economic Calendar Scraper

Pull economic calendar events for a date range: country, currency, importance, and actual / forecast / previous values. Filter by countries, impact level, and event category.

Data comes from the calendar site’s structured events API after a real browser clears bot protection. Rows are joined occurrences (timed releases) with event metadata — not fragile HTML table scraping.

### Features

- Date range (`fromDate` / `toDate`, defaults to today)
- Country filter (major economies + emerging markets)
- Importance: high / medium / low
- Categories: inflation, employment, central banks, and more
- Time zone for local event times
- Pagination across large ranges (safety cap at 100,000 when unlimited)

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
|-------|------|---------|-------------|
| `countries` | array | `[]` | Country names (lowercase keys). Empty = all |
| `importances` | array | `[]` | `high` / `medium` / `low`. Empty = all |
| `categories` | array | `[]` | e.g. `inflation`, `employment`. Empty = all |
| `fromDate` | string | today | `YYYY-MM-DD` |
| `toDate` | string | = fromDate | `YYYY-MM-DD` |
| `timeZone` | string | `GMT` | Offset used for displayed times and the query window |
| `maxResults` | integer | `1000` | Cap; `0` = no limit (safety ceiling 100,000) |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | — | Residential proxy recommended on Apify |

#### Input example

```json
{
  "countries": ["united states", "euro zone"],
  "importances": ["high", "medium"],
  "fromDate": "2026-10-20",
  "toDate": "2026-10-27",
  "timeZone": "GMT",
  "maxResults": 200
}
```

### Output

One dataset item per event occurrence:

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `date` / `time` / `dateTime` | Local date/time in the chosen time zone |
| `country` / `countryId` / `currency` | Geography and currency |
| `event` / `eventLong` / `eventId` | Event names and id |
| `importance` / `category` | Impact and category |
| `actual` / `forecast` / `previous` | Values (number or string with unit) |
| `unit` / `referencePeriod` | Unit and reporting period |
| `url` / `source` | Event page and data source |
| `occurrenceId` / `occurrenceTimeUtc` / `scrapedAt` | Ids and provenance |

### Tips

- Wide date ranges return a lot of low-impact noise — filter by `importances` and `countries` first.
- Start with a small `maxResults` to validate proxies, then raise the limit.
- If the site serves a challenge page, use a residential proxy and retry.

# Actor input Schema

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Only include events from these countries. Leave empty to include every country on the calendar.

## `importances` (type: `array`):

Only include events with these importance levels. Leave empty to include all importance levels.

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Only include events from these categories. Leave empty to include all categories.

## `fromDate` (type: `string`):

Start of the date range (YYYY-MM-DD). Leave empty to start from today.

## `toDate` (type: `string`):

End of the date range (YYYY-MM-DD). Leave empty to use the same day as the start date.

## `timeZone` (type: `string`):

Time zone used for event times. Defaults to GMT (UTC) if not set.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of events to return. Set to 0 for no limit (an internal safety ceiling of 100,000 applies to prevent runaway wide-range runs).

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional Apify proxy. Residential proxies help when the calendar site challenges datacenter IPs.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "countries": [
    "united states"
  ],
  "importances": [],
  "categories": [],
  "timeZone": "GMT",
  "maxResults": 1000
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `overview` (type: `string`):

Table view of calendar events.

## `rawResults` (type: `string`):

All dataset items without a specific view.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "countries": [
        "united states"
    ],
    "importances": [],
    "categories": [],
    "fromDate": "",
    "toDate": "",
    "timeZone": "GMT",
    "maxResults": 1000
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("powerai/economic-calendar-scraper-investing-com").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
