## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Shopify Store Leads Scraper

Discover Shopify merchants by product keyword or category and export lead-ready store records: website, myshopify domain, public contacts, ratings, and sample products.

#### Features

- Keyword and/or category discovery via Shopify’s global product catalog
- Unique stores (deduped by shop id / domain)
- Store metadata from public `meta.json` when available
- Optional website enrichment for emails, phones, and social links
- Optional skip-history so repeat runs return new stores only
- Market hints via country / region and ships-to filters

#### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `query` | string | — | Product keyword |
| `category` | string | — | Optional product category GID |
| `storeLocation` | string | — | Country code or region |
| `maxItems` | integer | `50` | Max unique stores (1–10000) |
| `priceMin` / `priceMax` | number | — | Catalog price bounds |
| `inStock` | boolean | `false` | Prefer available products |
| `shipsTo` | string | — | Destination country filter |
| `enrichWebsite` | boolean | `false` | Scrape public contact pages |
| `websiteEnrichmentMode` | string | `missing_email` | `all` or `missing_email` |
| `skipPreviouslyScraped` | boolean | `false` | Skip stores already delivered |
| `leadListName` | string | — | Shared history across searches |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | — | Optional proxy |

#### Output

One dataset row per store, including:

- `id`, `name`, `websiteUrl`, `myshopifyDomain`, `shareUrl`
- `address`, `contacts` (`email` / `phone` / social / `web`)
- `rating`, `totalProductRatings`, `sampleProducts`
- `currency`, `productCountHint`, `description`, `sourceQuery`, `scrapedAt`

#### Tips

- Start with a narrow keyword and `maxItems: 10` to validate results.
- Turn on `enrichWebsite` when you need emails; many stores only publish social links.
- Contact fields depend on what the merchant publishes — empty contacts are valid.
- No browser / CAPTCHA path: discovery uses the public catalog API only.

# Actor input Schema

## `query` (type: `string`):

Product keyword to discover stores (e.g. organic coffee, yoga mat). Leave empty when browsing by category only.

## `category` (type: `string`):

Optional Shopify product category. Used as a search hint; taxonomy filters are best-effort.

## `storeLocation` (type: `string`):

Country code (US, GB, …) or region (NORTH_AMERICA, EUROPE, GLOBAL, …). Affects localization and shipping filters.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of unique store leads to return (1–10000).

## `priceMin` (type: `number`):

Only include catalog hits with price at or above this amount (major currency units).

## `priceMax` (type: `number`):

Only include catalog hits with price at or below this amount (major currency units).

## `inStock` (type: `boolean`):

Prefer products marked available in the catalog.

## `shipsTo` (type: `string`):

Optional ISO country code filter for shipping destination (e.g. US).

## `shipsFrom` (type: `boolean`):

When storeLocation is a country code, apply it as ships-from instead of ships-to.

## `enrichWebsite` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch the store homepage / contact pages for public emails, phones, and social links. Slower.

## `websiteEnrichmentMode` (type: `string`):

When enriching, check all stores or only those still missing an email.

## `skipPreviouslyScraped` (type: `boolean`):

Skip stores already returned for the same search (or shared lead list).

## `leadListName` (type: `string`):

Optional shared skip history across different searches. Requires skipPreviouslyScraped.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional Apify proxy. Helpful for website enrichment on rate-limited storefronts.

# Actor output Schema

## `overview` (type: `string`):

Table view of store leads.

## `rawResults` (type: `string`):

All dataset items without a specific view.
