## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## AliExpress Scraper

Get AliExpress search results, one row per product: price, currency, exact order count, rating, Choice badge, shipping badges and listing date. Sourcing teams, dropshippers and market researchers use it to compare products in a category. $0.40 per 1,000 products.

### Why this one

| | Price per 1,000 results |
|---|---|
| **This Actor** | $0.40 |
| Popular alternatives (top 5 on the Store by users) | $2.00 – $9.00 |

The top five Actors for "aliexpress scraper" list between $2 and $9 per 1,000 products.

### Quick start

Run the Actor with this input. Every other field has a default.

```json
{
  "searchQueries": [
    "wireless earbuds"
  ],
  "maxProducts": 60
}
```

Compatible with the input of `devcake/aliexpress-products-scraper` (`searchQueries`, `maxProducts`, `sortBy`, `country`) and `thirdwatch/aliexpress-product-scraper` (`queries`, `maxResults`, `sortBy`, `country`, `minPrice`, `maxPrice`, `choiceOnly`). You can switch the Actor ID and keep your input. The leaders' `enrichDetails`, `monitorMode` and `proxyConfiguration` are accepted but not used in this version.

### Output example

One row, trimmed. The full field list is further down this page.

```json
{
  "productId": "3256806491667018",
  "title": "Original Lenovo XT80 Sports Wireless Earphones with Mics, LED Power Display, Hifi Stereo Sound Bluetooth 5.3 TWS Headphones",
  "url": "https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256806491667018.html",
  "price": 15.39,
  "originalPrice": 33.65,
  "currency": "USD",
  "rating": 4.9,
  "orders": 66557,
  "isChoice": true,
  "searchQuery": "wireless earbuds",
  "position": 1
}
```

### Use it from your code

The Actor id is `praguedatalab/aliexpress-products-scraper`. Replace `YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN` with your Apify API token.

**Python** (`pip install apify-client`)

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("praguedatalab/aliexpress-products-scraper").call(run_input={"searchQueries":["wireless earbuds"],"maxProducts":60})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```

**JavaScript** (`npm install apify-client`)

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('praguedatalab/aliexpress-products-scraper').call({"searchQueries":["wireless earbuds"],"maxProducts":60});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(items);
```

**curl** (returns the rows as JSON; the endpoint waits for the run, up to 5 minutes, so keep the limits small)

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/praguedatalab~aliexpress-products-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"searchQueries":["wireless earbuds"],"maxProducts":60}'
```

### Use it with AI agents

AI assistants can call `praguedatalab/aliexpress-products-scraper` through the Apify MCP server to get the products of a search as JSON rows.

### FAQ

#### Is it legal to scrape AliExpress?

The Actor reads public search results without logging in. Reviews are left out on purpose, since they carry buyers' names and countries. AliExpress's terms still apply to how you use the data. This is not legal advice.

#### How much do 10,000 results cost?

$4.00. The price is $0.40 per 1,000 products saved, after deduplication.

#### Do I need a proxy?

No. This version sends requests without a proxy. If AliExpress blocks some pages, the status message shows how many failed. Retry later or use fewer queries.

#### How fresh is the data?

Each run reads the search pages when it runs, so prices and order counts are as of that run. Product pages need a login, so the Actor reads the search results only.

#### Can I export to Excel, CSV or Google Sheets?

Yes. Each run saves a dataset that you can download as JSON, CSV or Excel. For Google Sheets, import the CSV, or connect Apify to Google Sheets with an integration.

#### Can I schedule it daily?

Yes. In the Apify Console, open the Actor, go to Schedules, and add a daily schedule with the same input. Each run is billed per result, as usual.

### Input

Minimal example:

```json
{
    "searchQueries": ["wireless earbuds"],
    "maxProducts": 60,
    "sortBy": "orders",
    "country": "US"
}
```

| Field                           | Meaning                                                                                    |
| ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `searchQueries` (or `queries`)  | Product searches, one per entry.                                                           |
| `startUrls` | Optional AliExpress search URLs (`/w/wholesale-….html`), read page by page. |
| `maxProducts` (or `maxResults`) | Products saved per query, default 50, max 5000.                                            |
| `sortBy`                        | `default`, `price_asc`, `price_desc` or `orders` (most sold first).                        |

| `minPrice`, `maxPrice` | Keep products inside this price range (applied after each page). |
| `choiceOnly` | Keep only products with the AliExpress Choice badge. |

A page holds 60 products. Requests are spaced 1.5 seconds apart.

### Limits

- Only the search results are read. Product pages are closed to anonymous visitors (login redirect), so descriptions, variants, sellers and reviews are not collected. Reviews are left out on purpose: they carry buyers' names and countries.
- No proxy in this version: requests go out from the Apify run without proxy. If AliExpress blocks a run, the status message says how many pages failed; retry later or use fewer queries.
- Only public product listings are collected. No login, no captcha solving.

### Pricing

Pay per product: $0.40 per 1,000 products saved (after deduplication). No start fee.
