## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Product Price Comparison: Every Store's Price for Any Product

Compare **one product's price across every US store** that lists it on **Bing Shopping**: the **lowest price and where to buy it**, the median and highest price, the **price spread**, **Amazon vs Walmart vs Target vs Best Buy vs eBay**, which stores have it **on sale**, **free shipping**, and **used or refurbished** offers kept apart. Every store's offer comes as a CSV with its link.

A **Google Shopping scraper alternative** that works from the cloud: Google Shopping now shows servers a JavaScript wall, while Bing Shopping answers normally. No login, no API key, no proxy.

### What does this price comparison tool do?

```
Sony WH-1000XM5 · 15 offers from 14 sellers
 lowest new     $195.00  at Ayzun.com
 median         $298.00       highest  $299.99
 Amazon $279.99 · Walmart $298 · Target $299.99 · Best Buy $298
 on sale        5 offers      used     1 offer, from $239.97
 Bing says      "20% higher than normal" (Amazon, $298)
```

1. Enter **product names or model numbers** ("Sony WH-1000XM5", "Ninja AF101", "LEGO 75375").
2. The Actor finds the **best-matching product** on Bing Shopping (or several, if you ask) and opens its **list of sellers**.
3. You get **one comparison per product**, plus **every offer**: store, price, original price, shipping, condition, and a link to the store's own page where it can be decoded.

### Who is it for?

- **E-commerce sellers and brands**: watch competitors' prices on your products, and spot who is undercutting you
- **Deal sites and newsletters**: find the real lowest price and which retailers are running a sale
- **Price monitoring and MAP enforcement**: see every retailer's advertised price for your SKUs
- **Shoppers and resellers**: check before you buy or list
- **Analysts**: track price dispersion across retailers for a product basket

### What data do you get?

**One comparison per product** (the dataset):

| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| `product`, `productId`, `rating`, `ratingsCount`, `bingUrl` | The product matched |
| `offers`, `sellers` | How many offers and stores |
| `lowestPrice`, `lowestPriceSeller`, `lowestPriceUrl` | The cheapest new offer, and where |
| `medianPrice`, `highestPrice`, `priceSpreadPercent`, `lowestVsMedianPercent` | How much prices vary |
| `majorRetailerPrices` | Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy and eBay, side by side |
| `offersOnSale`, `offersWithFreeShipping`, `sponsoredOffers` | Sales, shipping and ads |
| `usedOrRefurbishedOffers`, `lowestUsedPrice` | Used offers, kept out of the new price |
| `outlierOffers` | Offers far from the rest (bundles, wholesale lots, parts), kept out of lowest and highest |
| `cheapestOffers` | The five cheapest new offers with links |
| `bingPriceInsight` | Bing's own verdict, e.g. "20% higher than normal" |

**Every offer** (`OFFERS_CSV`): seller, price, original price, currency, free shipping, sponsored, condition, outlier flag, the store's own title for the offer, store domain, store link and Bing link.

### Example: 10 popular products, 30 September 2026

One run, **10 comparisons and 73 offers in 38 seconds**:

| Product | Lowest | Where | Median | Amazon | Walmart | Target |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sony WH-1000XM5 | $239.99 | Swiftronics USA | $298 | $298 | $298 | $299.99 |
| LEGO Millennium Falcon 75375 | $67.99 | Target | $82.97 | $67.99 | $67.99 | $67.99 |
| Ninja AF101 Air Fryer | $79.99 | Amazon | $89.99 | $79.99 | $119 | |
| YETI Rambler 20 oz | $24.99 | eBay | $35 | $55 | | |
| Stanley Quencher 40 oz | $35 | Golf Galaxy | $45 | $45.67 | | |
| Nike Pegasus 41 | $116.80 | Amazon | $159 | $116.80 | | |

The same YETI tumbler cost **$55 at Amazon and $24.99 on eBay**; the Ninja air fryer was **$39 more at Walmart than at Amazon**. For the LEGO set, Amazon, Walmart and Target matched each other to the cent.

### How to use it

1. List your **products**, one per line. Model numbers give the most exact match.
2. Set **products compared per search** to 1 for the best match, or more to compare several matching listings (colours, versions).
3. Run it and download the comparisons and offers as **JSON, CSV or Excel**.

### Pricing

**$0.01 per product comparison** and **$0.001 per offer** saved.

A product with 10 offers costs **$0.02**. The 10-product run above cost **$0.17** with all 73 offers.

### Good to know

- **US prices, from Bing Shopping.** Offers are the stores Bing lists for the product in the United States, sponsored listings included (and flagged). A store that does not list with Bing will not appear. Offers change from run to run as retailers' listings change.
- **Best match first.** A search takes Bing's closest product, and the product's title must contain at least half the words you searched for; anything looser is reported as "no close match" rather than compared.
- **New and used are kept apart.** Offers titled used, refurbished, renewed or open box, and offers from resale marketplaces (Poshmark, Mercari, Back Market, Swappa, Reebelo and similar), count as used.
- **Outliers are flagged, not hidden.** An offer under half or over twice the median is usually a bundle, a part or a wholesale lot; it stays in the offers file, flagged, but does not set the lowest or highest price.
- **Prices exclude tax and shipping** unless free shipping is flagged.
- **Microsoft's terms of use restrict automated access to Bing.** This Actor reads public shopping results at a gentle pace.

### Input

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| **Products** | Names or model numbers, or Bing Shopping product links (with goid=) |
| **Products compared per search** | 1 to 10 |
| **Also save every offer** | Adds the offers file; charged per offer |

### Integrations

Export to JSON, CSV, Excel or Google Sheets, or connect through the Apify API, webhooks, Make, Zapier and n8n. **Schedule it daily** to track competitor prices on your products and get alerted when someone undercuts you.

# Actor input Schema

## `products` (type: `array`):

Products to compare, one per line. A name or model number works best, e.g. "Sony WH-1000XM5", "Dyson V15 Detect", "Ninja AF101". A Bing Shopping product link (with goid=) compares exactly that product.

## `productsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

1 compares the best match for each search. Raise it to compare several matching products, e.g. different colours or models.

## `includeOffers` (type: `boolean`):

Saves every store's offer behind the comparisons as CSV and JSON: store, price, original price, shipping, condition and link. Charged per offer.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "products": [
    "Sony WH-1000XM5",
    "Dyson V15 Detect"
  ],
  "productsPerSearch": 1,
  "includeOffers": true
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `comparisons` (type: `string`):

One row per product: lowest price and where, median and highest, spread, major retailers' prices, sales and used offers.

## `offers` (type: `string`):

Every store's offer behind the comparisons: store, price, original price, shipping, condition and link.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

Requests, problems and the limits of the data.
