## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Hirist & IIMJobs Scraper: India Tech & Management Jobs

Scrape **India jobs from Hirist** (tech: developers, data, product, DevOps) and **IIMJobs** (management, finance, sales, MBA roles) in one run, with no login and no API key, and get a **hiring report for every search**:

- **Every job**: title, company, **AmbitionBox rating, reviews, size, industry and ownership**, locations, **years of experience** asked, **salary in lakh per year** when shown, **skills** (and the must-have ones), **applicants**, views, posted date, work from home, diversity hiring flags
- **Filters**: city or state ("Bangalore", "Gurgaon", "Pune", "Karnataka", "Remote", or abroad like "Dubai"), years of experience, posted today / 3 / 7 / 15 / 30 days, jobs with a salary only
- **Report per search, over every matching job**: top locations, **most-asked skills**, top hiring companies with their ratings, experience asked, salary ranges, **competition** (applicants per job), company types, work from home share, freshness, and **jobs posted in the last 12 months**

### Who is it for?

- **Sales teams selling to employers** (HR tech, training, background checks): companies hiring now, with size, industry and rating
- **Job seekers and career coaches**: every open job for a role, with the skills that come up most and how many people already applied
- **Edtech and upskilling companies**: which skills employers ask for, per role and city
- **Analysts and HR teams**: hiring demand and salary signals for tech and management roles in India

### Example: 20 October 2026

Five keywords on both sites, up to 500 jobs saved each: **3,354 jobs and 10 reports in 84 seconds, 90 requests**.

| Search | Open jobs | Posted last year | Top city | Median years | Median salary (lakh) | Median applicants |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hirist: python | 710 | 5,499 | Bangalore (45%) | 5 | 27.5 | 155 |
| Hirist: data scientist | 1,098 | 8,793 | Bangalore (42%) | 6 | 32.8 | 82 |
| Hirist: java | 673 | 5,544 | Bangalore (40%) | 6 | 30.0 | 216 |
| Hirist: product manager | 815 | 6,976 | Bangalore (40%) | 7 | 37.5 | 150 |
| IIMJobs: product manager | 3,917 | 29,759 | Mumbai (34%) | 7 | 30.0 | 158 |
| IIMJobs: finance controller | 791 | 4,596 | Mumbai (31%) | 8 | 32.5 | 176 |
| IIMJobs: data scientist | 306 | 1,905 | Bangalore (33%) | 7 | 35.5 | 128 |

- **Java jobs are the most crowded**: 216 applicants per job, against 82 for data scientists.
- Salaries are shown on only **5 to 12%** of ads, so medians come from a small share of jobs.
- Tech roles live on Hirist and management roles on IIMJobs: "python" has 710 open jobs on Hirist and just 1 on IIMJobs.

### Pricing

**$0.001 per job saved** and **$0.02 per report** (one per keyword and site).

- 200 newest jobs for one keyword on one site, with the report: **$0.22**
- One keyword on both sites, reports only plus 20 jobs each: about **$0.08**
- The run above (3,354 jobs, 10 reports): **$3.55**

### Good to know

- **Every matching job is read** for the report (up to 5,000 per search), even when you save fewer; the jobs saved are the newest.
- **Salary** is in **lakh rupees per year** (30 = ₹30,00,000) and shown on only a few percent of ads.
- **Company ratings** come from AmbitionBox, as both sites show them; recruitment agencies posting for clients often have none.
- **Search matching** is the sites' own: a keyword also finds jobs that list it as a skill, so some rows are related roles.
- **Privacy**: recruiter names and photos are not collected.
- Data comes from the **public job search of hirist.tech and iimjobs.com**. **Not affiliated with Hirist or IIMJobs.**

### Input

| Field | Meaning |
